  • "Part 6" of the 5-part series. This is a segment of the original series in which we loaded the "very warm" load of .45 Colt, using 2400 powder. We show the Factory Crimp Die and the Double-Disk Kit in action.
Note the black "large" Safety Primer. That was the mistake; that was actually the small Safety Primer. Hey, I'm not afraid to show you my boo-boos. That's one reason why we did the new version. :-)
The entire series is also available on my own Web site, www.sanfranciscoliberalwithagun.com.

@sfliberal Awesome, thanks for the answer. I have the Lee O frame press which I've used for years but I really like the efficiency at which you reload your ammo with your turret, it really looks like a great setup. Thanks for posting the videos.

I've lived in NC all of my life. My father works for a trucking company that hauls to SF and other fine cities in CA. His drivers are all the time coming back with horror stories about the laws in your state. It makes me feel good to see someone with the brains to question their "MASTERS". Because of this video, I looked up AB962 and then threw up all over my keyboard. I was pissed about having to wait 3 days for a gun permit here but good grief! Stay strong out there. Take care, from NC

This guy is awesome. Great info and videos and a gun guy. I credit most of my reloading skill to him.

@econewpower I prefer the Classic Turret for its extra beefiness. The "deluxe Turret" is a fine machine, and those who have them didn't make a bad choice. I like to put it this way: there's "very good" (deluxe Turret), and then there's "really exceptional" (Classic Turret).
The best defense against another AB 962 attempt is reloading our own. And a complete Classic Turret setup like mine, with the powder measure, is about $200--very affordable.
BTW, I'm a native son, too, born & raised.

A tiny 2 mods to mine.
Added $store flex light velcro mounted and bend to shine in to the case (fairly well)
Added long low tension rubber band from the right most post of the press over over the top of safety prime so it pulls it to the back to max till I press it forward seems to help some so the shoe never strike the primer arm on the up stroke.

Do you like the classic turret more than the deluxe turret? What do you feel are the biggest differences between them? Is it worth paying the extra money for the deluxe turret? Thanks

@buzzclark Stay strong, my fellow SF brother. Believe me, I know what you're talking about. As I mentioned to someone else, our best defense against another AB 962 is reloading our own. Those who propose such crazy legislation are traitors to both the people of California and our entire nation.
$200 will get you the complete setup you saw me using. They're remarkably affordable.
