  • This video is an audio comparison of EZDrummer 3 and Superioir Drummer 3 from Toontrack.
For comparison I used the same MIDI groove from built-in EZDrummer 3 Grooves, the same EZDrummer 2 Modern library and the same "Basic" preset.

I had hoped the latest update to sd3 would include the band mate feature. I always thought of superior drummer as having everything that ez has, plus more.

I don´t get it, if you use the same library which difference do you expect to hear?

This is the point. I wanted to show clearly whether there is a difference in VSTi versions. Does it make sense to buy a new product for owners of SD3. After all, SD3 reads the EZX libraries. In the end, the difference is only functional.

@@MrDenKrik ezd3 is slightly more open in sound but you have to listen clearly while sd3 is slightly more damp the sustain don't ring out

Haha, yeah you're right! Demo an SDX against an EDX.

No difference at all, maybe I'm trippin but if any a little weeny unhearable tiny tighter like snappy compression in the SD3? I just got to try EZD3 And I've been using NI drummers and lately in love with Ugritone

that's not true. I am checking on the same set and it sounds completely different. The SD3 sounds much better. Unless I don't know about something in the settings. Both turned on as standalone :(

Man, we have what we have. You listened alternately, maybe the time it took to switch made you forget what the previous sample sounded like. Maybe the volume of SD3 was corny higher, and this greatly affects the result of the comparison. I still appreciate your opinion.

@@MrDenKrik I just auditioned again. There is no difference. All the best ;)

Is ez easier to use than sd3 in standalone?

You can say so. SD3 has many settings and built-in plugins. EZ3 has several knobs, the purpose of which is intuitive.
