Yours looks just like the ones we order from our local pizzeria..only difference is they don't sauce the dough, they give it to you in little tubs to dip it in. My mouth is watering watching this!!
I’d just sat down on the couch here and 💭 “what the heck am I gonna make my son for Friday nite supper??” it’s just he and I, so sometimes we get a pizza or I pick up fish n chips, but we’re tired of those. We❤stromboli but store-made ones are getting too skimpy on fillings, so I stopped buying them. Then, I 💭 , “well let’s see what lovely Texas lady Catherine is up to… 😮Wow-Whee! Good morning Catherine. I love Stromboli. I made one last week. Checking out your method. I’ve never used that kind of pizza dough before, interesting. Ooo I never used sauce IN my Stromboli, me like.😁 Garlic is a definite must for me.🥰 My husband just got me a manual cheese grater and I LOVE it! I do not like box graters, so dangerous. Yum….pepperoni. I use mozzarella and provolone. I like sharp provolone. Then I top with Parmesan. It’s 9:22 in the morning and I could take a bite of that. It looks beautiful.😍 Serrated is the best way to go, the innards won’t squish out. I bet Thomas’ mouth is watering. Tfs. Now I have to figure out what I’m going to cook for dinner. Delicious! We love Stromboli! Genoa salami is a must! We have also done Buffalo Chicken Stromboli, BBQ Chicken Stromboli, and Veggie Stromboli. Mmmm I am going to add Stromboli to next week’s menu!

Try it as French dip with garlic mayo, roast beef, pastrami, provolone and banana peppers and onions if you like them. Some Campbell's beef consume and french onion soup for the dip 🙂

Hi Catherine!!! When our kids were little we made something like this. We used thawed bread dough. Haven't made it in many years. I will give this pizza dough from Pillsbury a try. Your recipe looks really delish...YUMS!!!Thanks for this recipe...Great Video!!!...🦋
We use thawed frozen bread dough, too. I also put some sauce in between the layers. I like it that way rather than dipping.
OMG! You’re killing me! I’ve tried quite a few of your recipes and they’ve all been awesome! I just have to try this one too. Problem is, I’m diabetic🤣 But even diabetics gotta live once in a while…ok maybe a little bit more than “once in a while” lol. Yeah I know about portion control but where’s the fun in that!?

I’ve never eaten Stromboli. This looks very good! And it’s so easy to prepare. I like to mix some Provolone with the Mozzarella. I love cheese…the more the better😛 Great recipe with lots of options♥✨😎

How about Italian sausage crumbles, chopped green peppers chopped onions with pizza sauce and lots of mozzarella cheese! That's the kind of stromboli I would order years ago. It's been a long time and this video sure brought back memories. Thanks Catherine!

I add black olives and mushrooms to mine. Sometimes if I’m feeling fancy I put everything in the middle cut the sides in strips and braid in the center. It looks really pretty when you bake it.
Our local pizza shop didn't make their strombolilike that. It was not a rolled up pizza. It was like a huge sub. It was filled with ground pork sausage. Shredded beef, marinara sauce, italian seasoning, dill, 2 layers of 2 different types of cheese, grilled onions pepers and mushrooms. Its baked in a pizza oven with parmesian cheese on the "bun". They were about 4 inches thick and 6 inches wide and 16 inches long. Fantastic !

Coming from a Born and Raised Brooklyn NYC Italian where Italian food gets no better besides Italy. I make Stromboli unbelievable. I can see your out of state and limited to the real imported Italian Meats and Cheeses we have access to. You really did a great job on this one. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 If you had access to real imported Prosciutto, Salami, Cheeses Provolone, Mozzarella etc you would definitely taste the difference. Great Job!

I ended up making the Lamest. Pizza. Ever... To mask my embarrassment I called it a "rustic Margherita flatbread"... believe me the name was way better than the actual product! 😂😂😂😂❤

Better than that Pillsbury dough is this roll out dough, I think it’s just called Roll It.I make Stromboli for my husband, use provolone and mozzarella. For meat I use cappacola ham, pepperoni and maybe some plain ham, all from the deli counter.
I add some peppers and onions and sometimes mushrooms. Pinching the ends and securing the filling is the most challenging part.
We don’t put sauce inside, instead we have marinara for dipping.
Trader Joe's sells pre made pizza dough, reg, peso and wheat. I use it to make calzones and stromboli. Inexpensive too.
