Makes sense that a Pug owner is borderline illiterate, if you were more proficient in reading and writing you could have read about their severe health issues and chosen not to support the inhumane breeding of them.
Is it ok if I bought a pug from a FOSTER home because his life was absolutely horrible and I wanted to make the best of it while it lasted? I’d never buy one from a breed et.
Nice video! My pug actually developed cataracts and is using Lanomax (a cataract dissolving eye drop) and he has been using the product for 3 weeks and I am already seeing a lot of improvements.
Thank you for posting, this was really helpful :) Looking for a little pug to add to our family, and this was exactly the information we were looking for!
Hey guys I really hate to say this. Y’all seem so in love with these dogs, but these dogs are suffering. They cannot breathe. They cannot do basic things. They struggle. Every pug suffers its entire life not being able to breathe due to the way their skull is structured. Why is like that you may ask? Because human demand has bred them to look that way. Humans want their dogs to look like them (narcissism at its finest). Precisely because you guys find this cute, this breed is bred. And the dog suffers it’s entire life not being able to do basic things. Please do not encourage pug breeding by buying them. You’re not loving the dog, you’re only encouraging more dogs to be bred. Little lives in agony. If you found a rescue, that’s okay. If you got one from an ‘accidental’ litter, that’s okay. But do not encourage puppy farms to continue doing this. I know y’all are better than that. Don’t hurt man’s best friend :) Don’t believe me? Look at its skull. Read up. I have no reason to go out of my way to lie to you about a dog breed.
I agree. They bring more problem to your life and that is why they are being abandoned as soon as owners realize their health issues and mounting medical bills.
How do you clean inside the folds and what with? Would it be possible to do a video on cleaning them please? I'm considering getting a pug and would like to know as much as possible about how to care for her before I get her :) Also do you regularly clean the ears, because I heard they are prone to ear infections and you need to regularly clean the ears. Thank you.
There ears are quite open compared to more floppy ear dogs so you have to keep an eye on them, we clean his folds and his ears with a baby wipe, its gentle on their skin and does the job removing any muck! I have got plans to do a full cleaning video but I'm not sure how soon that will be getting uploaded in my schedule :) Hope this helps!
Ah okay great, thank you :) Pretty simple then. I got a pug! Her name is Luna. There's a few pics of her on my twitter :) (same name as RUclips) and when I get my new phone next week I'll probably start uploading a bunch on Instagram, lol.
Yeah, I failed pretty hard at waiting, lol. That first night when I slept for less than 3 hours I did have a bit of a ''oh god what have I done'' moment, lmao, but now I'm glad she's here even though I am so tired. Ohhh, she smells pretty funky, I've given her a bath but I'm guessing it's just dog smell, is it a puppy thing or is she always gonna be stinky? Lol. Never had a dog so not sure what a normal dog smell is xD
Hello please could you answer my question just bought a pupy pug like 3 months ago now he's nearly 6 months and his face is woollen like above his nose is that cause of that the thing you mentioned in your video?
@@Mat-ilda because people think that as long as the dog is happy it's fine, when even if they can be happy, pugs will NEVER be healthy, they lack a proper snout ffs
The fold on top of their nose MUST be washed everyday or else it turns red raw and sticky, out was for about a month and it was so revolutions so please make sure to clean it if you’re thinking of getting a pug!
pugs should straight up be illegal as a dog breed, it sickens me every time I see someone who decided to maintain this genetic lineage by purchasing or breeding one. it's sick. A true testament to humans relentless quest to destroy the natural world around us.
This is a huge misconception about pugs, It is very very very rare that this happens, and it's only caused by excessive force, their eyes can't just pop out by themselves. You should not worry about this at all :)
His jaws are actually well aligned! His teeth are all over the place though, with the squished face you normally get one or both them issues, quite normal for pugs
"They're perfectly healthy animals" *proceeds to describe numerous severe health problems that could be life threatening, and encourages people to support the inhumane breeding of them* Nice one mate 👍
if you pause at 4:52 pablo went cross eyed :) we have a breeder who lives near us who breeds pugs, french bulldogs, puggles, beagles and labrador beagle mixes, they are great thinking about getting a future pug from them :)
Do not get a pug from them no responsible breeder could breed that many different breeds and still know to keep the correct temperaments and form. The dogs will also likely have health problems firstly because they're brachycephalic dogs and those dogs do not live a good life just because of how they're bred and secondly because it's from a breeder that has so many different breeds she also won't know which health problems to look out for. No responsible breeder would breed mixes either unless the mixes are for working (like mixing whippets and APBT for hunting) or to help with health problems like some breeders do for brachy dogs to make the muzzle longer and open the nostrils. But designer breeds like puggles are not bred for that they are bred to look cute not be healthy.
Hi mate I’m looking to get a pug but I’m really scared of the pigmentation and the health issues you mentioned just wondering if its worth worrying over the reason I’m so worried Is because it’ll be my first dog Ever and it’ll be for my 16 th birthday I’ve seen there great family dogs
Sorry for the late reply :) I really wouldn't worry about it, any dog is going to have potential risks but if you carefully choose your pug from a breeder or shelter and take special care of them there is such a small risk it's not worth worrying :) We now have 2 pugs and never worry about health issues, we also have insurance so if (god forbid) anything was to happen we're covered to get them seen and taken care of. Pugs are fantastic family dogs, they're such great companions and just love people and socialising, It's always important to be educated on health risks though so you can spot them early before they become anything bad :D I wish you good luck and hope you do decide to get a pug! (you won't regret it!)
Yes they can! My girl pug has severe allergies and gets half a benadryl with breakfast and half with dinner, along with a daily 24 hour Reactine. Fully vet approved. In fact suggested by our vet. Occasionally she has an extra hard allergy day and can have half a benadryl 4 times a day.
Maybe you Guys shouldnt get a pug ? Those poor dogs are breed to have health issues with their flat face. Buying them Just Supports their breeding. Even If you think they re cute. Is it really okay to forcefully breed a Type of Dog that is destined to have Problems ? This is pretty comparable to what Nazis did to breed the perfect Arian Humans.
Those things are disgusting. But yeah that’s animal cruelty. Breeding them to a point where they have multiple heath issues for your pleasure is diabolical stuff.
