- I bring you a recreation and at the same time parallelism of the battle scene between Superman and General Zod seen in the movie Man of Steel (2013) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of justice (2016). This is trying to merge both perspectives of the original material and provide a different and more extensive vision to what has already been seen on the big screen. I hope you like it, I had a lot of fun doing it.

I hate when people moan about the destruction, if two God's literally fought in the middle of a crowded city, it'll definitely look like this. I loved both MoS and BvS extended cut, and this fan intro was certainly one of the best I've seen.

But Superman literally gave no shits when beating the crap out of Zod that he was destroying dozens of buildings. He could've tried to move the fight somewhere less populated, like, I don't know, the HUGE BODY OF WATER RIGHT NEXT TO THE CITY. In Age of Ultron Iron Man made it a point to move the Hulk away from areas with a lot of people but here the so-called selfless hero doesn't consider that he's probably killing thousands of people.
Yeah really though. This scene is what made me absolutely despise Superman. Such a powerful being, surely he could try to steer the fight away from the city. Instead he casually flies through crowded buildings, killing God knows how many and just callously goes about his business like nothing is wrong in the next movie. At the very least, he should have had some major negligence liability. I honestly wanted Batman to kill him. It seems like the logical thing to do. As long as Superman exists on Earth, he opens the door for escalation. As we have seen in comic book movies. When the Superhero first shows up, the villains that start to come get badder and badder and more innocent people die. Batman should have stuck that spear right in Superman's heart.
At least the Avengers show remorse for their wanton destruction. That's the entire plot of Civil War. Superman just goes on like "lol nope, nothing wrong here". On top of that, we see the Avengers making it a priority to try and contain the fighting and protect civilians. Superman again just throws Zod into packed buildings. Like come on Supes.

Av_cali I love this edit but I do personally prefer the BvS version. The extra MoS scenes here add some great detail but if you've already seen MoS, it just adds more minutes to already 3 hour runtime of BvS (Ultimate Edition), plus it's all from Bruce's perspective which was necessary to show the effect of the fight on the people of Metropolis and set up Bruce's character arc.
I wish that I had seen this clip before... I would have enjoyed BvsS so much more.
I believe time will do this movie some justice, no pun intended.

This film was pretty good, nothing special. One of the only great things about it was the physicality of Batman in the Warehouse scene and Affleck's acting. Other than that it was an incoherent film with many structural issues and bad, unjustified, story-arcs and plot points with not-so-subtle symbols, themes and messages acting as delusions of grandeur.
Difference between this and Watchmen is, Watchmen is actually pretty great. Not a masterpiece in any sense of the word, but very well made for its time, especially for its genre that hadn't really began rolling yet. That and Unbreakable.
That's insanely good edit. And hats off to Zack Snyder , I never realized how meticulously that scene was put together.

cada vez que veo algo de esto me da pena como atacaron sin piedad esta pelicula solo por una escena que en realidad no me parece que halla sido para tanto. Desde mi punto de visto las pelis de marvel tienen los mismo errores y estupideces pero no son tan criticadas como esta.
En definitiva estas escenas tienen más realismo que las de avengers donde por ahí explotan un par de carritos por cada cuadra y la gente se la ve correr tan campante.

I personally enjoy the dark gritty undertones in both Steel and Dawn and love the contrast to the light-hearted marvel films, I only stopped like DCEU when they tried to go like marvel with League, which I hate.
If I could have it my way I would have made Man of Steel.
Then with Dawn of Justice, I would have kept the hatred between supes and batman flowing even to the first justice league film. I think they should have made Superman the full-fledged villain of Justice League to subvert audience expectations. Would have been epic. Just imagine it.
The perfect trilogy,
Man of Steel, sets up Superman with dark undertones.
Dawn of Justice, sets up a reasonable dislike towards Superman.
Justice League, makes Superman the villain.
If I really could change things and make my own DCEU, I would have made Man of Steel and kept the Wayne Industries Easter Eggs.
Then I would have made Batman film as a prequel, showing his origin as a good man, but in the end, he loses Robin, turning him darker and more sinister.
Then Batman v. Superman would have built on the previous two movies, by clashing two characters we had grown to like in both Man of Steel and Batman.
I would have saved doomsday forever and instead brought Zod back for the final battle, but a bit more crazy. No flash/cyborg/Aquaman email stuff either. Wonderwomen would appear also to help defeat Zod, yet in the end, Batman watches as Zod kills Superman (with a neck breaker to mirror Man of Steel) and it flashes back to Robin dying the same way. Batman is flustered with rage, picks up a shard of kryptonite and stabs (a distracted) Zod in the head, killing him.
Next, wonder woman arrives, then a flash film, then an Aquaman film and then justice league, (so that justice league isn't forced to spend it first act introducing the characters because they already have movies to build from)
The team must come together to stop a bad guy, and thus resurrect Superman to help, but instead, Superman returns but completely evil, and the team is forced to stop him. In the end, Superman wraps his arm around Batman's neck to snap it (again mirroring Man of Steel) but remembers his own death and stops, slowly returning back to his former self just in time for the whole team to COME TOGETHER and stop the other bad guy.

Well if you wanted Batman to be fueled by rage over Superman not to mention distrust, showing the true horror of the destruction done by what were technically living gods to a city is a good attempt. at least the editing was very well done.

Most of the damage was done by the Alien Terraformer which Superman personally stopped.
Doesn't matter. You see this is the problem many people don't catch on to. look at it again and think about from the perspective on the ground. the utter hopelessness that you lives are literally at the mercy of these beings. good or bad.
This cut and editing was way better compared to theatrical version. This cut should have been played in theatrical version which allows audiences to connect with the story. As a DC fan I am waiting for MOS 2 with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, hopefully Zach Snyder will be back to direct that movie, let the studio give more freedom to synder this time since they have already fucked up Justice league movie.

That is a damn good edit. Man I had the thought of what if this was at the end of Man of Steel. No explanation who Ben Affleck is before hand just him in the scene , nobody says his name and just like how this video ends the camera pans and shows the Wayne tower logo in the rubble next to him and the kid and then cut back to zod vs sups. I think this would've been an epic surprise introduction to Bruce in Man of Steel.
Actually Kal is 100 times powerful Than Zod but Zod is fully trained for fight and he is a warrior. While Kal El doesn't have fighting skills but he's a super fast learner.

I was late about for 3 or 2 minutes in the theatre and when I entered the theatre this scene was playing.And the world engine sound made me shaking.
This 1 stellar epic scene of BVS is billion times better than any MCU movie to date.

Zod put that man in the wheelchair in the Wayne building. Lex weaponized that rage and Batman's rage and Zod's actions and body all on Superman. Plus the kryptonite (the sins of krypton) he weaponized.

It was good but I think Zack did right by not showing Supes and Zod in this opening scene. It's shows the fight from a civilian's perspective. We as the civilians don't even see the two of them, we don't even know what they look like or if it's really even 2 normal sized aliens who look lile people who are causing this destruction, yet it's very real and very catastrophic which makes the 2 of them seem much more deadlier and dangerous. I think in this scene, it's vital that we don't see them both, except maybe in glimpses.
