    What if you don’t have a support person?

    • @thecolemaninstituteforaddi6234

      Hi Valerie-For our outpatient program to work, there needs to be a support person to help patients come to and from the office, and to help administer some medications. It doesn’t have to be the same person for the whole time: some people have a spouse for some days and a friend on others. If no friends or family are available, other patients have hired a home health aide to perform this role. Hope this helps!

      Do you realise some people sadly don’t have family or friends? What happens with them? Thank you.

    question, if i want to detox from xanax and suboxone can i do it at the same time>? or i have to detox one at a time?

    • @thecolemaninstituteforaddi6234
      @thecolemaninstituteforaddi6234  Год назад +6

      Hi Armando Fonseca - When we help patients detox off of both benzodiazepines and opioids, we space them out in time and do them one-at-a-time to avoid any compounding affects from symptoms that might arise. Best wishes!

    Is it true that there is now a rapid detox for suboxone? If so, how many days and does insurance cover it?

    • @thecolemaninstituteforaddi6234
      @thecolemaninstituteforaddi6234  Год назад

      Our detox off buprenorphine or methadone is an 8 day outpatient procedure and it is covered by many commercial insurance plans in our Richmond, VA office ( Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, Sentara). We hope to be offering it with Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage in Indianapolis by the end of 2023.

    Im from canada and im very interested im on methadone. How much do this cost out of pocket. The cost is cheaper then how much ive spent in the pills and buying methadone off the street. I have no cravings i started this when i had a car crash and i was pretty beat up. So they put me on oxy

    They use narcan? N what implant are they talking about? And comfort meds? I have everything ready I’m just scared of the precipitated withdrawals. I did the tiniest bit n I went into withdrawals. This is why it’s been so hard

    • @johnfeeney1590

      You aren’t lying. Precipitated withdrawal is the absolute worst. I was in it for 42 hours and the only thing you can do is do more of the drug to make it stop. The worst time in my life. The best way I learned how to do it is wait 4 days before taking the sub. And sometimes 4 days isn’t long enough. But be in withdrawal like full blown withdrawal for 24hours then take the sub. I’ve done it a few times and like an idiot relapsed. I hope it helps and I’ll pray for you.

      @@SAMEntalhealthit has no effect, suboxone film at least last time I knew has nalaxone in it, that’s why you can’t take methadone and suboxone at the same time, suboxone with kick methadone out of the receptors and kick your body into withdrawal. They are essentially using suboxone without the Bupe in it to rapid detox.

    Outpatient methods don’t work for most addicts like I went to in person rehabs and detox many times if I was at home I would relapse every chance I would get and methadone and Suboxone withdrawals last min 2 weeks before going back to baseline unless your on a very small dose and on maintenance for. Have fun with precipitated withdrawals l if you take naltrexone to early
