the man signed a lifetime deal with Nike; hence he don't even own himself. LeBron James may be king of basketball now, but he's not as powerful as Colin is making him out to be. Case in point, I remember he was doing an interview once where he claimed he USED to eat at McDonald's during his rookie season, but stopped because he wanted to eat healthier. I guess he forgot that he has an endorsement deal from them, as he immediately had a followup interview RETRACTING that statement because now he claims he still does eat at McDonald's. lol. The man don't even own himself, yet he wants to be the next Muhammad Ali. Pfft.
LeBron James is the best Player/GM/Coach/Recruiter etc 🙌🏾 without him the Cavs were a lottery team, he changed the culture of the whole organization within two years
Learned alot of it from the heat followed Pat formula literally got kyrie and love to try and be wade and bosh I happy that he won but those heat teams were way better
Conference Finals with LeBron -> Lottery Without LeBron -> NBA Finals LeBron-> NBA Champions with LeBron Immediate and unmatched impact. Cavs team value and the Cleveland area economy are directly effected by LeBron's presence...that is why people bow down. He isn't just winning on the court, but making you more valuable for just being around him like Brian Windhirst, Mike Brown who keeps getting jobs, James Jones...so on
+A King In My Own Mind yes he is indirectly creating jobs, revenue are 350% up since he is back in Cleveland, small businesses in downtown and around the Q are doing good
I agree with you Van Otto ....he said he told them meaning the organization... just trust me ....I know how to get us there...and Bron did that...Damn what a Brilliant Man....I love that dude.... I'm his fourth girl...Behind his wife, daughter, and mother and then there's me.....Lol....Don't believe me.... Ask Bron.
LeBron deserves to have that much power in the organisation, he's a once in a generation player, those kinds of players are always bigger than the organisation, because they are difference between a average organisation and the Showtime Lakers or the 95-96 bulls.
LeBron know he's any teams missing piece to get to the finals guaranteed. You can put him on ANY team winning or losing team and their an automatic playoff team and finals contender. He has that skill level along with being a business man which is scary to owners because Bron knows his worth and you can't deny that.
his 100% right. if i was a owner ill let lebron make all the moves as long as we make it deep in the playoffs I'm good cuz thats more $$$$ for me. cavs were bums before lebron got there. look at them now
that's why people say I hate lebron ,people always hates the pioneer the 1 person who goes against the grain the true leader of this generations..when he retires her will be loved by all and really missed.
History will never tell the real story of how Wade, Bosh and Lebron came together in Miami....many are crediting Pat Riley as the mastermind when the players did the job of the GM.
What pisses people off about Lebron is his ability to play like its his first season and literally he has only lost like 5 percent of what he was when he started day one. They hate that he's 6'8 275 and can run faster or just as fast as anyone in the whole league. They hate that one night he can't shoot but then he scores 41 points back to back and tops it off with a triple double to complete the season. They hate the fact he has kept his body in terrific shape through 13 seasons and is Durable as american muscle cars. They hate the fact Lebron is still around and won't die. #GoatBehindMJ
Exactly. Winning one for Cleveland against the 73-9 Warriors, the most overrated team in history, the best shooter in history, in the hardest arena to win in besides the Spurs one for the last couple years, AFTER BEING DOWN 3-1, is no short of magnificent. LeBron has cemented his legacy. The funny part? I bet that KD's wuss decision will motivate him to beat the Warriors again. You can tell he really does not like the Warriors at all, and now that Durant did the wuss move, he wants to show Durant who's the better player once again.
Brando Williams I think LBJ is a great baller, but I believe if he were around in the 90s he wouldn't have been seen as half the player he is seen as now. The competition is too weak
Son of Ethiopia bruh...I watch the games. I'm a fan of the sport not 1 player or team. The competition is weak. LBJ is a lesser form of Pippin in a weaker league
Jay Keith, are you trolling? Pippin is worse in scoring, passing, and rebounding. He might be better at defending the small forward position. But LBJ can also defend guards, power forwards, and centers.
Other players get more money then Bron. HOW!!!??? He is he NBA and has been for the last DECADE..not two years like CURRY and others that are getting more money then the best player in the world. Bron never had a coach like PHIL and he earned the right to do what he does. PLAYER/COACH
They're not making more money than Lebron. Their basketball contracts might be worth more but lebron just signed like a billion dollar deal with Nike to make his shoes for life, he's the highest NBA player on the Forbes list as well.
+Coach Dru And big name players like him with hella endorsements always take pay cuts for rings, only one player who won multiple rings that didn't take a pay cut was Kobe Bryant, he wanted to win but he'd play 1 on 5 that boi wanted his dough, all of it lol
The NBA strives because of the star power of its athletes. When you depend on a single player for so much, of course they're going to want more power. The NBA let this happen, now they have to live with it. Colin is right though, Lebron is different and I don't see many players getting the power he does. One thing though, Tiger was bigger than golf. Tiger carried that sport.
The only person to blame is Gilbert. He allowed LeBron to have that power when he bought the team & he put himself in this bind. He had no choice but to allow LeBron to waltz back in & assume control. Gilbert is only there to write the checks. He's the odd man out. The fans in Cleveland will always side with LeBron over Gilbert. LeBron is from the area, made the Cavs nationally relevant, and brought that all elusive title in historical fashion. Cavs have been champs for a week and LeBron already has a street named after him. This is after speaking in front of 1.3 million fans who treat him as a God. It's been a week and there are people talking about erecting a statue for him by the start of next season. There's nothing Gilbert can do. He eviscerated LeBron after he left & made false promises while LeBron was in the peak of his career & winning rings. LeBron took his team to two straight Finals appearances & a title only a season after being a lottery team. The fans reaction to Gilbert compared to LeBron, how LeBron talked about Griffin coming to him with his opinion on signings, the players' reaction to Gilbert, & LeBron's speech overall leds me to believe that he runs things in Cleveland and NE Ohio or he at least has a lot of influence. He doesn't even sugarcoat how he feels about dude. Don't be shocked if LeBron owns a stake in that team within the next 15-20 years.
hes right though owners are probably scared. but lebron won titals in miami very few players are talented enough to make people contenders right away. thats like one guy every 10 years or so that can do that.
LeBron and MJ are the only two players in NBA history who are bigger than their franchises. If you rise to that level you know more than the franchises and quite rightly have the power to do what you want. You'll ring rings, so the owners should be very grateful
First off MJ was and still is bigger than the sport, don't try to sell him short. Lebron is 50% of the sport now. Jordan picked his teammates and called shots more than lebron does and in essence won more titles. He was allowed to stay in games when he wanted. He got away with abusing and beating up some team mates in order to make them compete harder. Jordan controlled the league not just his franchise no player has done that. Tiger woods was definitely bigger than golf itself I mean that just goes without saying. Anothers include Ali and floyd mayweather they were bigger than the sport of boxing and still are . But lebron now after winning his last title is starting to accend to that untouchable status mayweather , woods, and jordan have tasted, and he wants the world to know it.
I still don't see how Andrew Wiggins was a wrong move. Guaranteed if it was Wiggins in Cleveland not Love they wouldn't be champions right now. What has Wiggins proven? That he can average 20 points on a lottery team? He barely impacts the stat sheet aside from points, isn't a particularly efficient scorer at that. We all know Lebron and Kyrie will control the ball most of the time, Wiggins and his 30% 3pt shooting percentage hasn't proven that he can be effective off the ball as a shooter or slasher. Yeh Kevin Love isn't averaging the same numbers he did in Minnesota, but he's still good for 17/10 and a healthy amount of assists and 3s. As much as he struggled in the finals, he came through big in game 7 without even scoring double figures, he was phenomenal in the first 2 rounds. The trade was a great one, it gave the Cavs a 3rd star that has a window that aligns well with Lebron's, and a solid building block for Minnesota to rebuild from. Let's be real now, Wiggins with all the potential he has, isn't even the best player on his team right now, because that title goes to Karl Anthony Towns.
It was a horrible trade. I said from day one it was, but they won a championship anyway so I can't really argue with it, although your idea of Wiggins talent level is laughably idiotic
You blind? I have said that Wiggins is a talented individual. But in no way is he ready to help Lebron win titles right now. They aren't gonna wait around for him to develop cuz lebron would be 35 by then.
Nick Jim look how fast Kyrie and Thompson developed...Wade won a ring his 3rd year. and he wasnt gonna lead the Cavs at all, Love doesn't lead either. LBJ could've used Wiggins more especially later, and just got any big man who can shoot from deep like Ryan Anderson 2014
And now Miami is headed t the gutter... The NBA is a player's league. Fans tune in and attend games to be entertained by talented athletes. If they force the elite players to pool their resources and start their own professional league... guess what... the fanbase will follow. And the owners will be obsolete.
I like this show So much more than those First Take type shows where ALL they do is yell. Man, that has gotten so old. Colin is right about Tiger being 40 to 50% of golf.. Without Tiger the prize money for winning tour events is bound to go down because of the drop in viewers . So, those guys who finish in 50th place don't get the big bucks any more. They simply get enough to make a living. TIGER, you are and will continue to be, missed. Get well and come back soon before the PGA becomes a ghost town.
LeBron has every right to be his own GM by calling all of the shots and recruiting players to fill roster spots. Every team LeBron has played for has won a title. Heck, the Cavs may have been back-to-back champs if Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love weren't injured in last years playoffs. Golden State had to put up a fight against a team with 2 injured starters that barely touched the floor at all. LeBron could go to the Milwaukee Bucks and they are automatic title contenders. Just by having LeBron on the team, everyone around him plays hard and they get better overall. If I was an NBA owner or GM, i'd like LeBron work his magic without being scared at all lol.
yes LeBron is a walking business and has a lot of pull but how much power can he actually have if he works for the Cavs or any team??? He's still and employee!!! its not like if the Cavs fired him he'd take the whole team with him...now that would be real power...but such a thing is impossible. on any team, in on any job, an employee has limitations. just like in mj's day, mj was limited by being an employee. his real power didn't come till after but as an employee he had a lot of pull. This discussion is entertaining though
I get your argument but consider this, the season after he left, Cleveland won only 19 games. Even after Kyrie was drafted they won 22,24........ His impact is like nothing the league has seen...so...
Yes he "works" for the cavs in the strictest technical sense, but he's not a mere employee of the organization. He leaves, then organization loses half of its value. At the most he could pressure Gilbert to sell the team. At the highest he could start his own league, operated by black men, independent of the white dollar.
David James Lebron has gone 6 straight time to the finals and one in 2007, how come his finals without golden state don't pull out great tv ratings. The 2007 finals have the worst tv ratings on record
rayleigh8 lol that was coz of spurs and i agree curry had a lot to do with new 8-12 year old bandwagons watching last 2 finals......these two are most marketable stars right now........ but if golden state played celtics or hawks or some shit this finals would have garbage ratings lmaooooooooooooooo.
it's the story line of both teams meeting in the final curry vs LeBron new vs old big vs small athleticism vs skill etc... it's not just one man but the story behind it in the end It what entertain the people the most
+B.A. Chan i'm so confused.. remember resurrection of frieza? frieza final form vs base form goku. its insane how strong goku is right? but wait, last episode goku ssj vs trunks ssj2? then goku show trunks ssj3 right? then in the post credit scene. base form black goku is kicking ssj goku's ass? damned! i am so confused!
+B.A. Chan same here man, i think akira forgot about the power scale again, future trunks having trouble with dabora right? but if we compare dabora to goku or vegeta's base form right now, one punch is enough to destroy dabora, 5 punches vs kid buu. remember base form frieza destroy ssj gohan with 1 punch only. so if we do the math right now i think power scale is fucked! lol. anymay i can't wait on ep50!
Oh yeah i forgot Lamebron made the decision on wiggins who is now shining in Minn.Point is he don't want anyone there who will take the limelight from him!!
it's real sad how a great player like lebron needs to team up with two Allstars to win championships bosh and wade down in Miami and now Irving and love he would of never come back if the cavs don't get the number one pick 3 out of the 4yrs he was gone
THAT'S WHY THEY BROKE LEBRON JAMES DOWN..... THEY TRADED HIS STARS AND GAVE HIM BENCH AND ROLE PLAYERS.... THE RESULTS... SWEEP.... WHY???? LEBRON LACK OF RESPECT FOR THE TOTALITY A GAME THAT WAS HERE BEFORE HIM AND WILL BE HERE AFTER HIM. PEOPLE IN HIGH PLACES OPERATE ON DIFFERENT LEVELS.....
Come on man Lebron signs 1-2 year deals to make sure that Dan Gilbert keeps the cavs relevant or he is jumping ship. How anyone respects the disloyalty is beyond me. Ya'll blind if you think lebron wouldve signed an extension if the Cavs wouldnt of won the chip. All Lebron cares about is himself.
Him demanding the team keep acquiring the best talent is no different than what Magic and Michael did. If you want to win, of course you should demand your front office do its job.
LeBron doesn't scare NBA owners because superstar status has always been replaceable. The NBA survived without Magic. It survived without Michael. It will survive without Kobe. It will survive without LeBron. Why? Because if one star goes down they will prop up another one. Tiger went down the golf hole, Spieth and Jason Day and Rory came charging behind him. Owners are owners and they differ greatly in power than with players.
You also missed the point about WHY NBA owners would be scared. He set precedent. A player this good gets this much power. This is what Lebron's legacy is for new players. If you are good enough, the NBA owners have to back you on whatever you want because you bring them to 6 straight finals. If MJ came into the league today, he'd have this much power. If Kobe came into the league today, he'd have this much power. Hell, Karl Anthony-Towns / Andrew Wiggins may get this kind of power in Minnesota.
Think again brosky. Surviving is not thriving. The cavs need lebron more than he needs them. If lebron goes to ANY other team in the eastern conference, hell wipe his ass with the cavs. If you think otherwise, youre delusional.
Lebron James is not a slave to the NBA. He can do whatever the fuck he wants to do.
he's KING JAMES for a reason
+Kevin Lopez yeah he is
the man signed a lifetime deal with Nike; hence he don't even own himself. LeBron James may be king of basketball now, but he's not as powerful as Colin is making him out to be. Case in point, I remember he was doing an interview once where he claimed he USED to eat at McDonald's during his rookie season, but stopped because he wanted to eat healthier. Agree with BS2

Somebody meme Colin's facial expression at the very end😂😂😂😂
lmfao they should
lmao he is like I told you so
I saw that and immediately came down to comment on it... that'd be classic
I salute bron because he's opening players eyes when handling their off the court business with teams and marketing.
LeBron deserves to have that much power in the organisation, he's a once in a generation player, those kinds of players are always bigger than the organisation, because they are difference between a average organisation and the Showtime Lakers or the 95-96 bulls.
"Zero rings and not the TV power" lmao and that face is priceless
that look at the end mic drop haha
This show is replacing first take

+TheVideoChain fox sports im pretty sure

his 100% right. if i was a owner ill let lebron make all the moves as long as we make it deep in the playoffs I'm good cuz thats more $$$$ for me. cavs were bums before lebron got there. look at them now
exactly... zero rings and no TV power.....The King
No Tiger was definitely bigger than the sport. Look at the ratings.
On point again guys!
tiger was bigger than golf...
Still is, and he hasn't played in a year
that's why people say I hate lebron ,people always hates the pioneer the 1 person who goes against the grain the true leader of this generations..when he retires her will be loved by all and really missed.
History will never tell the real story of how Wade, Bosh and Lebron came together in Miami....many are crediting Pat Riley as the mastermind when the players did the job of the GM.
Yah as if the 3 of them weren't communicating while the deals were being made, they all agreed beforehand to take a paycut beforehand.
I love watching you guys
Better than first take

He will. I've never seen Durant outplay Lebron head to head. The only way he loses if Cleveland loses a key player to injury.
Brando Williams I think LBJ is a great baller, but I believe if he were around in the 90s he wouldn't have been seen as half the player he is seen as now. The competition is too weak

Daaaaaaamn, he must've had that in his mind for aa minute. Lol, thought of that subject a lot!
sadly..this show is better than FIRST TAKE right now
Why is that sad? First Take is garbage.
I bet LeBron wish he could of chose his teammates in 2007😂
?What did the hat say to the man?...."Does this Head make me look fat?"..... BLAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Colin is a great guy and knows his stuff unlike skip bayless 😏
i like this channel. but you should make the videos longer

+VictorShephard I know but that's his own fault, he never signs those 5 year deals cause he's always jumping around lol

When did they create this show?
that's true both good points
The Rock and Rhonda Rousey are bigger than their sports too
Collins is more funnier than mr. Bean. He always make me laugh when its all about lebron 😂
hes right though owners are probably scared. but lebron won titals in miami very few players are talented enough to make people contenders right away. thats like one guy every 10 years or so that can do that.
only important talent can command power. not all players are capable of this.
true sport talk
"Wrong move with Andrew Wiggins??" , They won the championship this year and could have won last year if not for the injuries.
LeBron and MJ are the only two players in NBA history who are bigger than their franchises. If you rise to that level you know more than the franchises and quite rightly have the power to do what you want. You'll ring rings, so the owners should be very grateful
Why does Collin Hates on Kobe lol
for real😂😂😂💀😂💀💀💀💀💀
he killed Westbrook then he made that priceless facial expression to top it off...lol...funny but true!!!!
Cowherd is a genuis. That other guy not so much tbh
I'm guessing this will be Skip's new show on fox?
Nah I heard he's doing a show with Troy Aikman
Damn. Troy Aikman HATES Skip Bayless. Skip was the one who started the ,"Troy Aikman is gay" rumors back in the 90s
What power are they talking about ????
this guy has a funny voice
how about raising the wages of all the people that work at these stadiums? dont they deserve some of this revenue too?
But Wiggins didn't want to play wit bron
Colin called it, King James only
i dont even know wtf this was about.
LeBron has the keys to own the cavs.

why y'all hating on lebron? he just won a championship wtf?
Haters are getting desperate. Its pathetic. Let them hate, they are idiots anyways.

Andrew Wiggins is hot garbage, how was it the wrong trade. 😑
Who advised this guy to wear that fedora. Lookin like circus owner
The should have power... Their kings
now that was funny

yes LeBron is a walking business and has a lot of pull but how much power can he actually have if he works for the Cavs or any team??? He's still and employee!!! its not like if the Cavs fired him he'd take the whole team with him...now that would be real power...but such a thing is impossible. on any team, in on any job, an employee has limitations. just like in mj's day, mj was limited by being an employee. his real power didn't come till after but as an employee he had a lot of pull. This discussion is entertaining though
I get your argument but consider this, the season after he left, Cleveland won only 19 games. Even after Kyrie was drafted they won 22,24........ His impact is like nothing the league has seen...so...
+Joseph Spears true but that's not LeBron's fault. That's a front office problem
+Vampire Soldier all true but again, that's a front office problem not LeBron's
Yes he "works" for the cavs in the strictest technical sense, but he's not a mere employee of the organization. He leaves, then organization loses half of its value. At the most he could pressure Gilbert to sell the team. At the highest he could start his own league, operated by black men, independent of the white dollar.
Greg Thomas if he leaves they become a lottery team and business in the city losses hundreds of millions of dollars
Has this show been cancelled yet?
the tv ratings were the golden state, not LeBron.
lol Cavs had 2nd Highest TV Ratings after warriors last 2 seasons........so it was Lebron too lol.
David James Lebron has gone 6 straight time to the finals and one in 2007, how come his finals without golden state don't pull out great tv ratings. The 2007 finals have the worst tv ratings on record
rayleigh8 lol that was coz of spurs and i agree curry had a lot to do with new 8-12 year old bandwagons watching last 2 finals......these two are most marketable stars right now........ but if golden state played celtics or hawks or some shit this finals would have garbage ratings lmaooooooooooooooo.
it's the story line of both teams meeting in the final curry vs LeBron new vs old big vs small athleticism vs skill etc... it's not just one man but the story behind it in the end It what entertain the people the most
Whos uncle is that and how did he get this job?
LeBron have it since day 1 when cleveland draft him.. and now that he's a champion? think again.
nah
+Dumb Dumber yep
+B.A. Chan black goku beating the hell out of goku. lol
Kyrie hits game winning 3 to seal the deal.... Hello?? Media I can hear you kissing Nike errr I mean LeBron's ass from here.
subject is stupid how is worker More powerful than his boss, now kobe is the only player that is more powerful than his boss
it's lebrons team flat out
+BryceBrown Is nothing more than a satanist puppet period
+TheStrawbeery I agree but still the goat
+TheStrawbeery I hate thinking of basketball as some type of religious thing man it sucks...but I see all the signs and what not but damn...
Guess Satan is with him when he is jumping above the rim?
Or being a good dad or supporting his people! All in the name of Satan!
I don’t understand how some people like Colin think that the 2000’s was lebrons era when Kobe was clearly the best player lol
