The only thing I can't get past is the vinyl/leather-wrapped A pillars.
I think the bare metal look would be much better if you either sanded it with DA using a finer grit so it was uniform or if you used sanding drum to give it a grain like a Delorian it'd have a more finished look.
Belt sander to make it looked brushed

You could possibly take two grills and join them together into a wider one.
The bar cost 32 dollars. How much would 2 old grills in good shape cost? It wasn't in the budget to do that

Also grills are super thin metal and are more difficult to weld. Normally you would tig weld. Casey normally mig welds for speed and ease of use.

Casey you need to change the fold seams on the vinyl top to down from up like they are. Or seal the shit out of the fold to keep water intrusion

I like bmws I own a bmw but I use to be a car person when I was younger so it’s like … the feeling to think your getting into a mustang to get away from the world sitting in the cockpit with stick shift with all real American muscle only to find out it’s a automatic bmw lol 😂… yeah … my favorite get away car and remembering the passion of driving was the mr2 turbo and the rx7 enjoyed both those cars but had to part ways eventually . Still miss them but too much of a burden to keep them .

I voted for this bmwstang to be in bare metal. However, I wish you had welded the seams fully and ground them so it looked like all one panel not pieced and then sanded it all one direction like a DeLorean. It would have looked so damn amazing.

Are you going to adjust the passenger door gap where the back of the passenger fender meets the front of the passenger door when you look down from the passenger headlight toward the rear of the car you can see what I am talking about .

I wish you took a belt sander to it and made it more uniform like a delorean.
I think a bit of hammer and dolly work and lineshing out the areas where the shell has been chopped and stretched would make it significantly better.
BUT I also see the appeal of it being rough and ready. It can be a hack that you don't care too much about.
I've owned a few rough cars and they are great to drive...

From a far it looks cool but once you get close and see all the patches and welds it looks janky. You should definitely do some finishing work on the body. I’m not saying it’s gotta be perfect but at least blend it in better.
You need to send this car out with an owners manual just incase a repair is needed they will know exactly what part you used

Why not use a more modern 7” light? Something from like a JK Wrangler.
In my opinion it would look so much better if you painted it instead of the raw metal look.. just looks shotty and cheap.. if you painted it like a red or blue or green or something itd look so much better.. and just meaner.. plus i like the vinyl top... so itd have a 2 tone look with the black and whatever paint color you chose... but ya id definitely paint er...

I mean, for a $1000. It could be a ton of fun. But there are definitely things about this particular build. I am not a fan of don't like the super thick a pillars and I'm I'm the fence about the vinyl top, especially with the Seems. they look rough, but I get it. It's a ratty muscle car. It's for fun and cheap and it could be a lot of fun.Just cruising around being stupid and I'd drive it.And I'd cruise it for sure, but out of your $1000 or less builds.This Is my Least favorite

That was for 120 feet and i ended up only using like 75 too lol

$600. It was in a bad wreck and was totaled out because the front suspension was all broke and the wheel was just hanging. The owner wasn’t a car guy and never looked at it, it turns out all that was broke was the lower an arm and steering joint. I spent like 30 bucks on used parts and fixed it up and drove like new lol.
