Do the 3 window split for the windshield. If anyone can do it it's you. Or make a windshield from lexan. I'm not a fan of the wide pillars 🤷♂️

I’m so glad I stumbled on your change a few years ago…. I had no idea anyone could build cars using this method. I mentioned to a guy swapping an f-100 body onto a crown Vic when I was young n he told me it was impossible….. imagine my surprise when I saw the f1000 budget build!

Holden Statesman, Caprice, Holden Monaro/Commodore, Opel Insignia/Commodore/Omega, Buick Regal(sold in China), Chevy CapricePPV, Chevy SS, Pontiac G8
Casey, the G8 is the newer version of the 4 door that the GTO was based on. The G8 is a total redesign with a much stiffer chassis.
best use of a Holden Commodore i've seen for a long time :)
Do the third piece of glass in the middle. The wide A pillars would look much worse and on RUclips it's all about looks!
I'm a big fan of the '49-'54 Chevy cars, a big fan of body swaps and a big fan of V8 power. Oh yeah, also a big fan of big burnouts!

Cool build. I'm not worried about the roof. I see it flops, but I know you'll get it looking right, you did before on the Mustang.
The strut bars you use to brace the car, you could thread the middle of them so you can adjust them on the cars to narrow or widen the body as you work on them doing trimming and adjusting

Have you thought about chopping the top off when you widen these old cars?
It seems like it would be easier to stretch the bottom of the pillars to fit the body than to widen the roof.

I think you should find a torpedo back end. Solve all your problems. Yep. Three peice front window. Overlaped half inch with centre strip glued in middle. Looks great. You need some home made moon discs screw to alloy wheels. Painted mat black??. Good job..👍👍💪💪

The G8 is actually an Australian built Holden Commodore! This one is what we would call a VE model with a few tweaks!

I think it would be cool to keep the patina,and making a ghost patina/rusty lace job on the roof. Using only rust Brown,a bit lighter Brown,and a lighter brown/ dark orange,dark green and black.

My husband has ADD and has just as many projects started at our house including my dad’s 63 C10 short bed and he’s doing a total bathroom remodel on our house by himself.
