The thing I like most about Zigg is how his fight shows off just how. Sloppy he is. He thinks he's tough but really, his "strongest" attack is comically easy to dodge, more bark than bite.
Not to mention, there’s absolutely no variation in the color of their attacks at all, so when you do get the power to fight back you can take them down relatively quickly. So alongside having really sloppy attack patterns, they make absolutely no attempt to cover themselves at all.
Your editing that started at 3:43 of the video, where you downsized the screen depicting of the game to give room for your scribbles and charts was very helpful in making me understand your views (I especially love the way you scribbled Zigg at 4:36), and your simple avatar even have its eyes darting at the directions to the scribbles to further emphasize the points, like at 4:26. It's something that is perhaps understated, but your editing in your videos is part what makes your videos pleasing to both listen and look at, and in a time where opinion-videos often are presented in big noise both in sound and visuals with rapid spouting lines and fast-cut editing, yours are a welcome change to a more relaxed and breathable presentation. Even your gameplay footage feel just a few seconds longer in how you allow it to linger for us, the viewer, to soak it all in, like at around 5:00, where you let the gameplay go undisturbed for about 26 whole seconds before you begin speaking again. Summarized, keep doing what you are doing. You're doing great!
when I first pulled up your comment I was just like “oh noooo what did I miss???” haha, but I really appreciate the kind words. A lot of thought goes into my editing, so even if one person takes the time to analyze and appreciate it really means a lot. I was also really afraid that my ideas for this video wouldn’t make much sense while I was writing the script, so I’m glad the little animations helped. You the best!
This game D E S T R O Y E D me. Undertale is one of my favourite, made me cry a lot. But this game man, made me cry horrors, like a baby. I'm going through a tough time, and this game is so bittersweet i just can't describe. I was unable to play the last battle for some time becouse i would start bawling my eyes out and i couldn't see the screen. The themes, characters, and narrative absolutely destroyed me. 10/10 one of the games i recomend the most.
I know I'm pretty late, but I think this is a great video! I do really like "show don't tell", and it's always hard to pull off. It's worth mentioning that literally-every-character uses non-gendered terms, at least the ones that exist in the realm of Everhood. This is because the concept of gender has entirely dissolved.
The main (good) problem i have with this game is you have to look at the notes to win but you want to look at the visuals and text cause they are just as compelling haha.
Kind of forgot who you were, so seeing this appear in my subs had me confused, but excited to learn about a new game. It seems super interesting and I should check it out eventually.
Another banger! Love the border on this and I think it's also really interesting how games can remix their inspirations and still feel fresh especially when "Earthbound clone" might as well be a genre in itself.
Spoilers: I've always said that Everhood is a game about the intimacy of mortal contest. In order to kill, you *must* empathize: you have to _understand_ how they move, and what's important to them. You have to know who they are if you want to throw the notes back.
I'm used to acid trip games having more niche artstyles but this game having a less outlandish artstyle ironically makes the acid trip moments even more bizarre and off-putting
I remember watching you play it on Stream and decided to play the game myself. Had one of the most fun times I've ever had and I've found my most favourite rhythm ish game I've ever played, the story is well constructed and honestly it was a blast, thanks for showing me another banger, Takune
Nice video man. Great editing and you picked up on something i didn't even contiously notice myself. Been following this game for a while and its been fun seing it come together. Chris and Jordi are great people and its been fun helping with the community for the game. Even contributed with some feedback on what was in the demos, like the suggestion of using smear frames in battle. Great game, and glad to see some great videos on it too. :D
"and others that are a little more tough to catch" ha, i actually immediately got that reference when i first played, and i haven't played yume nikki in YEARS
I tried it with keyboard. Now I lost my bet with my friend usually I'm really good with keyboard at any game and thought it would be easy for everhood. Now I ate my words. Damn arrow keys they are the bane of my existence. •~•
great video! i love everhood and seeing little video essays on it are so nice, because i believe it deserves all the attention it receives. one thing though - every character in this game uses they/them pronouns, except for a few. just wanted to let you know for the future because there were a couple times when you used the wrong pronouns :) other than that, i really enjoyed this video!
Did anyone notice me call Zigg “Ziggs” four separate times in the video? No? Okay cool ❤️
Illaoi?
Well I returned to this video after playing and let's gooooooo, it does not disappoint
"You Want Gnomes" is literally how I got every one of my friends interested in the game as well.

I promise I'll return to watch this video when I finish the game 😳
I promise you’ll like it!!! 😎
Hi funny cartoon network guy
Your comment got liked 69 times.
It's sad to see channels with such cleanly made videos like this not receive much attention. I wish you luck in the future.
I’m super happy that ANYBODY watches my videos, so don’t let it get you down 👍 I’m not going anywhere!
@@takune just watched your everhood video, annnnnd man, ur honestly so underrated:)
Everhood is SO GOOD, this game and the Crosscode DLC have been the highlight of my year so far

I played this game for the music, stayed for the amazing story, and then came back again for the music. 11/10 soundtrack!
I can't believe they put Scott Cawthon in the game

The funny thing I realised about the intro, is Everhood is technically apart of my backlog. I should probably get around to playing it.
also, I really like the video aesthetic and editing style your going for. Keep up the great work!

Great video Takune! I love Everhood, its an immensely slept on game
It really is, but I’m hoping it starts gaining more popularity soon! The devs definitely deserve it
This game has been on my wishlist for weeks, now I think I want to buy it now

You always make the cleanest and fun, fascinating videos, I have had my eyes on this game for awhile :3
HELL YEAH an Everhood vid! The times I got to tune in to the streams were great, I hope it gets more attention

Great video! Editing is on point and so is the game breakdown. For anyone interested in Everhood - get it, it's a banger!

"and others that are a little more tough to catch" ha, i actually immediately got that reference when i first played, and i haven't played yume nikki in YEARS
God I think this is starting to become one of my favorite games and I played it around a year ago.
incredible job!
Amazing video again
I have to support this Video, this channel and for the most part This great Game.^^
I tried it with keyboard. Now I lost my bet with my friend usually I'm really good with keyboard at any game and thought it would be easy for everhood. Now I ate my words. Damn arrow keys they are the bane of my existence. •~•
Another great example of a fantastic game packed with references is Fear and Hunger, though it is much more messy and gloomy than Everhood
I found your channel only recently via omori but I just wanted to say your videos are pretty cool :D
Holy crap the omori video now this? your making me buy this, great video's man they're so good
*because it's new*
