Does this process in this particular setup only clean injectors or does it also clean the intake valves at the same time?
Just injectors. But the tool itself has several fittings and one is for intake valve cleaner.
Can you do this with the injector out of the car? Use a 12v battery to connect to the injector to open it, like the old school injectors?
I'm trying to think about this question. I'm sure you could. but I'm not sure how well it would work being direct injection. i believe with direct injection it requires over 2000 PSI and that's why the secondary high pressure fuel pump is required. In the past, I've put the Injectors in an ultrasonic cleaner and opened them and it seemed to work. So I believe it could work
2016 Mazda 6, P0171 code. Might this process help with this? I do feel the car sputtering just a little when not moving and in gear.
It could but if it’s sputtering already then it might be too late. You could try. I have an Acura that is also direct injection and i physically took the injectors out and had to clean them but they worked well after
@@laketownautorepair336 Thanks! My thoughts exactly... figure i could clean them and then see if it comes back. Or just replace all 4 and hopefully avoid doing it twice. Thanks for the note back.
Can you link the injector cleaner tool?
