The only thing i disagree with you on the kids joking about the events of endgame. Kids nowadays and most likely in the year 2023 would meme the shit out of the world almost ending.
@Super JLK It's not like that stuff hasn't happened. It would just be wrong to put that into a light film like this. Maybe in Doctor Strange or Black Panther sequel it would be more appropriate.
@Super JLK How many people have died in WW2? Vietnam? Iraq? Afghanistan? Each and every one of those plus natural disasters, anything you can think of, there's going to be a meme about it, if you look it up. ANYTHING. It's human nature, we make light of things that are too dark so that we can deal with it. Nothing strange there. 9/11 was one of the most shocking events in the past decades and it's probably the most memed out event in human history.
I don't remember any kids doing badly made montages dedicated to school shootings victims. I saw some montages, but they did not use that corny love song by Whitney Houston. They usually use some sad piano music with montage of photos.
I remember in the Amazing Fantasy run by Lee and Ditko, Peter never really cared too much about the other heroes. Sure, he respected them, but, he was more focused on taking care of Aunt May and trying to get money to get by. He only tried to join the Fantastic Four because he thought it was a paying gig. He wasn’t fanboying over them.
Ya man this spider man is so noobdaa and it really sucks. It's really upsetting that spider man was my favourite super hero but this new spider man is not.
He hates anything he is the shitty shawn Mendes of this RUclips channel the johnny stone from chaturbate I mean scamerbait that hates amything that people work so hard on he likes things out of nostalgia and cant like tom Hollands Spider-Man he is a generic guy makes over analyzing videos on this shit get a life man more to life than Spider-Man
"I'm not here to tell you how to feel" "All I can do is tell you how I feel" Is what I feel most people explaining why they didn't like something lack. Most of the time they just act like that's the right way to think and if you think otherwise you're wrong
If you really think about it, we haven't actually seen a real true Spider-Man villain in the MCU that has a problem souly with Peter, only Spider-Man fighting villains that have beef with Tony Stark and Peter somehow gets involved
The problem with the MCU, I think, is that they focus on where the universe can go, instead of where the individual movie can go. Since they're focusing on multiple movies at the same time, they're not able to focus on just one and put all the love and care into it. If there are 23 movies in a series, and they were all made by the same people, they would start to blend in and feel tiresome.
No lie, I'm a big MCU fan. But I notice the cracks wishing that the directors had more control of what they wanted to do with these films to stay focused on who the films are about along with staying on track for what the films are leading up to. So I agree. What I will say though the characters that they did a good job on for caring for them in the whole franchise are: Iron Man, Cap. America, Thor, Spider-man, Hawkeye, Guardians of the Galaxy (All of them), even Loki, Killmonger, and Thanos. Everyone else is debatable or not. (Just my opinion)
eh. some movies. for example, gotg, they put a lot of effort into it, and winter soldier too, and Avengers 1 and 3. some movies like dark world, and captain marvel dont show it.
Man, just from reading RUclips comments, forum posts and Twitter discussions, it seems as though the Spider-Man fandom is never going to get along. Never have I ever seen a fandom so split in two. We all have our own individual ideas of what Spider-Man is or should be. We’re so divided and always bickering at each other all the time, very rarely respecting each other’s opinions and it’s so depressing. 😞 Still, I suppose it all comes from a place of passion for the character, which is some small comfort, I guess. 🤷🏻♂️
It’s the exact same case with Star Wars, we’re all too toxic to allow ourselves to find enjoyment in anything. It breaks my heart to see the same thing happen to the Spider-Man fandom
This is human life as a whole, and happens with everything. In a world of many individuals with different brain structures, there will always be disputes. Nobody can agree on things one for one.
I was surprised that one of the kids said he got dusted while his brother survived. I got the impression the snap ran through families. So when at least one parent was affected so were all the children. Which would have made it likely that the aunt disappears with Peter.
green creó hay they didn’t mention him in homecoming at that was 8 months after becoming Spider-Man, yet here after tony died which is also an 8 month gap is mentioned left and right so why don’t they care about Ben, hell the ps4 game did this better then the movie
Hiccup Parker I don’t mind them making tony Pete’s father figure, but they really could’ve addressed both of them dying and peter feeling like he could’ve done something
My main criticism of this Peter Parker is that he isn't the 15 year old with the responsibilities and maturity of a 25 year old like he is in the comics. He has to deal with getting money for bills, caring for Aunt May's health and trying to live his teenage life while also being a superhero. He wants to be the happy go lucky kid they portray in the MCU but he can't and that is what makes his character compelling.
Speaking of which, why is his aunt so damn old in the comics when he was fifteen? I mean seriously, WTF? The MCU version of May at least was a reasonable age relative to his own.
@@midgetydeath Because she's not his aunt by blood, but the wife of *Ben Parker,* Peter's uncle. Ben is way older than Richard Parker, and unless he married a 17 year-old at 40, aunt May being very old is just right 👍🏼🕷️...
Ch Ka exactly Vulture like Killmonger from Black Panther has a justified reason for his actions they shouldn’t be condoned or allowed but they along with Loki are undoubtedly the most popular and well developed villains of the mcu
Ch Ka while I kind of see what you mean, his character isn’t motivated by Tony: it’s kickstarted by Tony. His motive and character keeps going with the goal to make himself seem like a hero, using the breakthrough tech he built, because he never got the recognition he deserved. He never got praised, just swatted to the side, and that’s what makes his character work. In a way, he’s trying to live up to the expectations of what the term “hero” is after Endgame, just like Peter is trying to live up to the title of “Avenger” and “Next Iron Man”.
@@Harv-E If it's to take a well deserved break and to finally make a connection with someone you developed feelings for for quite a while after nearly dying in space and on a battlefield with damn near shell shock and over 8 months of grieving to a father figure who has recognized you and supported you for nearly 3 years straight? Then fuck yeah I would.
i felt terrible after watching this, i never knew why I didn't enjoy it so much until I watched this video, almost everything he said I subconsciously noticed. it's still a movie sure, but its the spiderman era we knew wasn't here
Yeah honestly my biggest complaint with this new Spider-Man is that he's treated like a sidekick even in his own movies. They just wont let him be as great as he can be.
Rem Lezar They do literally he does his own thing the entire movie, kicks Mysterio’s ass and proceeds to have his own storyline. Mysterio is his villain now, Vulture is being built up, fucking Morlun, like everything is being built up for this Spider-Man character.
@@baldhead7759 bruh when spiderman spends more time with happy(who is iron mans friend)than his own aunt you know something is wrong.mysterio is not even spideys enemy.he just happened to get on his way.
DickKickem 64 What? Aunt May was on another continent you idiot, of course he can’t spend time with her and they interacted plenty of times, in Tobey’s movies Peter Parker didn’t spend that much time with Aunt May. She only shows up in the movies handful of times, also Happy was one of the people that were available to help him get to Mysterio.
In regards to the mysterio trip, and your complaints about it being all visual effects... canonically... it WAS visual effects. So I feel like it works within the context.
Victor Salazar I think to a extent, the ridiculous visuals of Spider-Man being caught in a snow globe that’s actually mysterio’s head, zombie iron man, Spider-Man getting attacked by dozens of replicas, etc. can only look so “real.” Also I don’t see how the majority of this sequence could’ve been done practically. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always thought that homecoming suit cg model needed work, but I think the concept behind the visuals wouldn’t allow it to look all that “real.”
I do enjoy the MCU Spiderman but not gonna lie, he needs a stand alone movie like the Rami and Webb films. Having other heroes in the film makes it hard for it to really be a Spiderman movie
Anyone else remember that moment at the end where Flash’s parent doesn’t show up for his arrival and he seems upset? And what could’ve potentially been a good moment to flesh out his character was just immediately cut to a different scene?
I think it could be leading into something new but yet again it would’ve been nice for a small payoff now, such as Peter noticing flash is alone or something
They handled that so odd. Leaving that out there hanging. I also noticed when Peter first used the EDITH glasses he could see what was on everyone's phones and MJ was texting her mom saying she hasn't heard anything from her or her father. Teen goes on an international trip and parents are just absent. What is going on with these kids?
Alex, I’m sorry that this version of the character, one of your favorite characters of all time, doesn’t live up to your hopes. I really look forward to you finishing up your Raimi series. Your passion for Spider-Man is well evident in every video you make about him. But above all, I’m seriously blown away by how eloquent you are even when discussing things that break your heart. Keep up the amazing work.
Ben Parker is such an important part to WHY Peter is Spider-man. He's where Peter gets "with great power comes great responsibility" from, since he had the power to stop Ben's death (indirectly) but didn't. And yes, Ben showing up might be kind of repetitive. But not only did they not even mention Ben, Peter himself is never shown to be affected by his death or even think about Uncle Ben. Why doesn't this teenage boy, who's supposed to have became Spiderman BECAUSE of his uncle, think about his uncle at all? Anyways, sorry for the rant
The sad part is besides the suitcase the only sliver of a mention is in Civil War when Tony first recruits him, he says "When you can do the things I can, and you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you".
He didn't get "with great power comes great responsibility" from Ben IT WAS A NARRATIVE BOX in the comics (Stans and Ditkos original work) so no Ben is not really NEEDED to make Peter spiderman it comes from within moreover uncle Ben wasn't even MENTIONED for a long time only on 3 occasions as a Easter egg
for the longest time now ive had this theory that uncle ben doesn’t actually exist in this universe because not even aunt may mentions him ONCE and especially now after no way home and aunt may in that movie, it really makes me feel like yeah there was no ben parker in this universe only aunt may. you can try to bring up the briefcase having bens initials but they never do anything with that, its not even confirmed in universe if that briefcase is actually uncle bens or not i mean the mcu does this all the time with stuff like cars license plates referencing a specific comic book or something. so yeah no as far as i know, uncle ben existing and dying in this universe is completely fan made so it doesnt bother me that the movies dont acknowledge him. the part that REALLY sealed it in for me is SPOOIIILLEEERRRSSSSSSSS at the end of no way home where peter goes to visist aunt may gravestone, theres no ben parker next to her; even in the spiderman ps4 game aunt may is buried next to ben parker so yeah theres DEFINITELY no uncle ben in this story or if there was, its not the uncle ben we know and love maybe even just some random dude named ben that aunt may dated for a while and broke up with.
@Tam873 Yea they really do the only problem is that Tony definitely didn't die to get away from the kid, but everything else you said I agree with. It feels like they are trying to turn him into Nightwing which is fine, but they CONTRADICT IT SO MANY TIMES! Homecoming: "Be your own hero" Me: Okaay....feel like he shouldn't have to learn that already but ok. FFH: "Exact same thing" Me: 🤨
Tam873 yes, the OG Spiderman. The MCU Spiderman is a different story. It doesn’t matter how amazing Spiderman is, let him be different. When people use this argument, they have to mention the OG Spiderman. According to that, using the phrase “OG Spiderman” means there are different forms of Spiderman, so there CAN be a different form of Spiderman, so the MCU Spiderman doesn’t HAVE to be the same(why does no one get that? You’re all 5 year olds), in which that argument falls flat on its face.
Tam873 I never said it was good. While I’m not shitting on anything, I honestly prefer the Sam Raimi movies and I always will. And, no, they don’t *have* to do anything.
Actually, I did the same thing that peter did. When I was dealing with a close family members death I tried to cheer myself up by hanging out with friends. So I disagree with that point.
JJ Nomad look, we *all* lost someone close. My Aunt died on a Wedding Party where she started to vomit out Blood. But do you know what the difference is between us? We have time to work those feelings out, we have our own time to worry about those things and overcome them in our own way. But the difference is, Peter is freaking Spider-Man. After he saw him die, he had to go the next day out there, while also having to know that people expect him to be the new Iron Man, or even „the leader of the new generation of Heroes“. Peter doesn‘t have a day off and everything should‘ve crushed him. All those things happening to him would make him behave weird towards his friends, because they think he is losing his mind while he can‘t tell them that he is Spider-Man.
Agreed. I feel like a lot of his points are like this too where just because HE thinks things should have gone a certain way, he trash talks everything.
It’s funny how Holand’s Spider-Man works better as a guest in other movies (Civil War, Infinity War) than in his own ones. I really enjoyed him & cared for him in Infinity War & cried when he got dusted
Mister1bigidea they shouldn’t have to. Having the idea that if someone is grieving they can’t do anything remotely positive to take their mind off of things is idiotic
Schlock Jocks put it like this my friend, we don’t need to see a flash back or anything, but his influence on peter should be seen in Peter’s action that’s it’s because of Ben peter does what he does but peter in the mcu is not responsible nor mature as if Ben never died, look at the ps4 game they mentioned him without it being Overused if you will and even the you can see that peter does what he does because of his origin even if Ben wasn’t mentioned in the game, actions speak louder then words and mcu’s actions shows he learned nothing as if Ben never died in the first place which is why people are asking what about Ben, if his influence was present in Peter’s actions no one would be asking what about Ben because it’s like he never mattered to Peter as his actions shows
@@ATalesTruth- Peter gave us Ben's influence in Civil War. "When you can do what I can, and bad things happen, they happen because of you." It's not a perfect recollection of what he said, but it's very clearly the "Great Power, Great Responsibility" thing. They just didn't want to outright say it again because it would be awkward. In the prior movies Peter exists all by himself, no other superheroes and no bigger setting he's a part of. The comics avoided having him interact with others meaningfully for a long time as well aside from occasional meet ups with the FF. The MCU goes more with the Ultimate Version of Spidey who was always working with SHIELD and Fury (except they used Stark instead) and shows his this would get to Peter and make him regress a bit. Then he realizes this and stops, but not before he's found a new father figure in Tony. In the comics, his new father figure was Captain Stacy who unfortunately was killed off too early and was a wasted character. Remember, in the early comics Peter was always thinking "What would Uncle Ben do? What would Uncle Ben do?!" in a problem. Here it's similar but they used Tony instead because...Tony's alive. Yes, it makes him less independent but it's a new direction that I'm not that upset about because we already got "Peter exists alone with no other heroes" in Raimi and ASM.
What if uncle Ben wasn't so nice and was actually abusive that's why peter doesn't care or peter has already gotten over it since it was more then 2 years ago
@@xinonuzumaki83 I thought peter was suppose to be 15 in this movie? So he's uncle died when he was 13, before he became spiderman? I gotta say, thats awesome news for og spiderman fans 😄
xinon uzumaki that would be extremely disappointing to basically all fans of Spider-Man, but at least he would be referenced in the movies, I get that marvel didn’t want to do what dc did with Batman and show the death of their parents 500 times, but the death of uncle Ben is a defining moment for peter Parker, at first peter was using his power just to make some cash, not saving people, but when some crook he last get away kills his uncle, the only father figure in his life, that when he decided to become a hero, his guilt of his uncle’s death is a driving point for him being Spider-Man, it’s why he goes out to help people and stop crime no matter how big or small, because he knows his actions have consequences and that not taking action can have even bigger consequences, for this Spider-Man movie to not even mention his uncle death is just sad when it’s such a big part of why Peter does what he does
@@rateyes1914 but then again if we heard that this spider man is the same as 99 percent of other spider man he wouldn't be unique cuz we are hearing the same story over and over, Peter doesn't have to be spider man because the death of his uncle he can be spider man because he naturally wanted to help people
You make excellent points. I'm not gonna sit here and say otherwise, you made terrific points. But the mysterio fights were spot. Fucking. On. If not better than the comics.
They’re cool but they look too fake and it’s supposed to look realistic, some practical effects would have been nice but these movies are like pop tarts and have to be ready in no time
@@achyuththouta6957 'Spider-Man 2 train sequence beats any fight sequence ever in superhero movies' dude, Sam Raimi's trilogy is my favourite trilogy ever, but that's just reaching. Even if we're solely talking about the Spider-Man trilogy, I'd say the best fight sequence was the ending fight scene of the first one with Green Goblin, though u may disagree and that's understandable... But *outside* those movies??? There are a lot more fight scenes in other superhero movies that far surpass the train fight lol.
@@Groypette But the effects are digital. Why would the movie use practical effects to make literal hollograms? Yes, comic book Mysterio has some practical illusions, but the movie version is all digital. It'd only be fitting to make the illusions digital.
"The entire scene is just CGI, no practical effects..." Uh... Alex the entire hallucination was CGI, everything was a hologram in the movie. Why would they do it practically if it isn't even practical in the movie universe?
@@marksingari What were you watching? Spiderman or Green Lantern? Spidey's suits are 100% real. No (at least prominent) CGI is involved. Maybe on his Iron Spider suit, but I'm not sure. Just look at the behind the scenes photos of Tom Holland in his suits and you'll see they're real. It was Iron Man's suit that was CGI (at least in the newer MCU films).
@@rebekahsegun8319 Dude! You must see the Browntable's CGI video, Mauricio covers the theme very well. The suits are designed and physically crafted but in most scenes, it is CGI.
I'm pretty sure that neither of them would wanna fight tbh, they have very conflicting opinions yes but to want them to fight is really just being the toxic fans from both the MCU and Sam Raim films.
It almost feels like the studio doesn’t trust the audience to like Spider-Man on his own. They have to include Tony stark or other superheroes to support him
@@weefy117 Still doesn't change the fact that making a character different from the comics isn't a bad thing though. It's just a lousy excuse to hate on something.
Yeah, it is kinda weird how much Peter had to be forced to do the right thing in this movie. He has to have Not Fury drag his ass and his friends into the crossfire to fight the Elemental, then went after Beck when he realized that Beck was going to find out that Peter had the evidence and would come after him and his loved ones.

he didn't even care about her in the previous movie, only MJ lowkey was interested in Peter. And that's just ONE of the problems of this movie.Marvel has to take things like this more seriously and stop making jokes 5 times per second.
Out of all of the reviews I've seen online, this is the one I agree with the most. It's hard to straight up say what is not popular, especially when it comes to Spider-Man, but because you made this video It'll be easier for me and others who feel the same to share their voice. Thank you for giving all the little guys a voice.
Spidemian easy there man. There are people that love this movie, myself included. But there are others that hate this film, and that’s ok. No need to paint everyone with one brush
Spidemian I agree. I mean it sucks that people will be called “inexperienced” or “uneducated” or (dare I say it) “mcu shills” for liking this movie. Everyone views films differently, and are all entitled to their opinions. Opinions, however, shouldn’t be belittled because they are different. It’s kind of sad.
That's exactly what I thought after rewatching Spiderverse and going back to the two movies, it was so uninteresting, after seeing such a perfect pacing and development in Spiderverse
Right. They basically act like he never existed and had no impact on Peter whatsoever. When we said we didn’t want another origin story, we didn’t mean hardly acknowledge an important character’s existence.
Spoopy Gool exactly, and this version of Spider-Man is like Batman from the dceu, for batman kills yet still remember’s his parents, that’s like haveing peter mention uncle Ben in this universe but being exactly the same for in film he is in excluding the crossovers he is irresponsible and mentioning Ben would be like has this kid learned nothing
Afro Turtle no have you played the ps4 game you can tell it’s because of uncle Ben and the responsibility lesson influencing all of Peter’s actions in that game and they mentions Ben and it isn’t bad, in the mcu none of Peter’s actions seem influenced by I have a great power so I need to be responsible(In the crossovers thats there but in the solos it’s none existent) so in homecoming and far from home he seems like a spoiled brat who is only a hero because he either wants the glory of being an avenger impressing tony rather then just doing what’s right because it’s right, he flat out quits being Spider-Man after his suit is taken away so he is saying unless I have my suit I’m not going to be a heroic so why not make a suit yourself because is someone needs help you can still be Spider-Man just not with the spoiled suit doing everything for you(no where in that movie does it scream I have responsibili s and I’m not going to let tony stop me because I don’t need his approval, if peter what’s permission on doing the right thing then he either doesn’t understand or care what uncle Ben thought him, does he need permission from Jamison the public or anyone no he shouldn’t but mcu peter say I’m not going to be a hero if tony thinks I shouldn’t be so Ben does matter?!?), in far from home he wants to quit being a hero after losing tony but shouldn’t that motivated him to be a better hero so he can save the ones he cares about /loves (which again is an influence Ben would have in him and now tony) but no he quits for no good reason at all why does he quit because he doesn’t want the responsibility dude Ben and tony died on your watch, so you don’t what the responsibility of trying to be better because you should feel guilty think you could have done something to save them, no quits and abandons a world crisis in whcih everyone might die including his loved ones and he doesn’t care and doesn’t want to be a part of it at all, had he not been forced to go by fury he would not have helped at all and this movie wouldn’t exist, he also shouldn’t have given the glasses to beck because their is no logical reason to do so only a fool/idiot/stupid/dim witted person would give the glasses to someone who is from another universe and who he as known for a few days, ok so you Meet someone in the other side of the world and you known them for a few days, so you make them secretary of defense of the U.S that’s the amount of stupid peter is in far from home and homecoming, the mcu movies objectively are even worst then TASM because at least he wasn’t stupid enough to give away a weapon the could take the world hostage to someone he as only known for a few days. Mcu Spider-Man you can like but it’s objectively the worst version of Spider-Man and if you support it that is saying you don’t understand the character and you rather support this dumbed down version of the character instead of supporting something like spectacular, spider verse, Ps4, all in which are among the best versions of the character and spectacular if you compare to the mcu is the same age yet is more and exactly like Spider-Man and should show you the problems with the mcu version kimcartoon.to/Cartoon/The-Spectacular-Spider-Man-Attack-of-the-Lizard/Movie?s=beta&pfail=1 the mcu Spider-Man solo movies are so bad if you take them out of the mcu the mcu Spider-Man would be better, you can take out homecoming and far from home and Peter’s character wouldn’t even change in the crossovers in civil war he was already more developed then how he was in far from home meaning you can take those movies out because peter learned nothing at all in those movies and if peter doesn’t grow then what’s the point in the movies, if you take them out of the mcu then the mcu would not change either, nothing happens that influences the world like how winter solider did or something as bad as Thor dark world, mcu Spider-Man solos can be taken out of the mcu like how Ironman 2-3 can be taken out like the Incredible Hulk, like black panther, and absolutely nothing would change that is how bad they are
I seriously feel that these new MCU Spider-Man movies just furthered Iron Man’s progression. Like their whole purpose was to get more screen time with Iron Man since they knew he was getting killed off in End Game. It really gets on my nerves that MCU Spider-Man movies completely revolve around Iron Man and not peter Parker himself. These are great movies, but not “Spider-Man” movies. It’s great visuals, action, and pace, but when it comes to creating depth and growth for Peter, It’s rushed and there are no consequences because it’s all “happy-lucky everything gets fixed cause Peter has Tony’s awesome equipment” sort of deal. Like in far from home Peter LITERALLY saves the day cause he gets in Happy’s jet plane and makes himself a brand new Hi-tech suit from Tony’s equipment. He never has to challenge things on his own, it’s all handed to him. Tom Holland does a great job at acting a Spider-Man, but the writers just want this to be another add-on to the MCU universe. I just ask that everyone remembers Sam Ramies Tobey Maguire Spider-Man and how his morales and challenges depicted how we could be better a person.
I'm not a comic reader, but it's the show The Spectacular Spider-man that has always been my standard of how Peter Parker/Spider-man should be handled. Hoping that there's still a chance they'd pick it up again. Never say never.
@John Smith I heard that on January 9th at 4pm, fans are planning to go on a twitter campaign called #savespectacularspiderman in hoping of bringing back the show.

RemixedVoice spoilers! Jk Simmons comes back as j Jonah Jameson and uses leaked videos from the fight with mysterio to reveal spider man's secret identity on the internet and live tv. MJ is asocial. And Homecoming wasn’t about MJxPeter anyway. Her being condescending and watching him from the background was her way of caring, and why would Peter notice MJ when he was all over Liz during Homecoming? I think the end of Homecoming did a good thing in setting up their friendship with that final scene. You pretty much knew that she was going to be the love interest without flat out telling you she was.
Spirit PBR that explains why she’s attracted to him, but it doesn’t explain how he’s in love with her all of a sudden. From PETER’S point of view, why is he in love with MJ and wants to impress her all of a sudden when the every interaction he had with her is her telling him he sucks?
Marsh388 I don’t think Peter is in love with MJ or vice versa, you gotta remember that they’re high schoolers. It’s literally just the power of crushes and attraction right now. Plus they literally have a lot of things in common that facilitate their interaction. There’s at least a year of this friendship/attraction that happened off-screen, so it’s not completely polarizing that two kids that share a lot in common grow to develop feelings for each other, specially if someone is as awkwardly clingy as MJ. Homecoming did its job setting her up as the future love interest.
Spirit PBR while I can agree that Peter’s attraction to MJ is as fickle as his attraction to Liz. I find the fact that their attraction developed off screen pretty lazy. MJ was pretty much a bully to Peter in the last movie (as it wasn’t playful banter one does with good friends). While one could say that she always insulted Peter whenever she was in a 5 mile radius because she liked him, I really find it hard to believe that Peter would want to be in the same room with her since all she did was ridicule him.

Not only does he not give a shit, he does not have to face any of the consequences of his own actions. Everyone miraculously support him, no questions asked. There is no Mary Jane, Harry, Gwen, Flash, Norman, nobody to make his struggles feel real. If you just read “a teen that wants to hang out with his crush”, sure, it sounds realistic… but the execution was everything else but.
Ughh.. Yes they could - have you seen Guillermo Del Toro? Yes the effects were good and I liked the scene - but they could’ve been practical without doubt
@@firstlast9846 Yes, I guess there's a way that could have made them practical. But that scene is too crazy and over the top that CGI was the way to go
Shay Michael I think it’s necessary for the effects to be CG. The point of Mysterio in the movie is to highlight how reality can be faked and altered with technology- like Deepfakes for example. I guess it was a bit excessive but ultimately I think it works.
There was no way in hell this movie was gonna be all dark and depressing after the shit we saw in endgame , this movie couldn’t carry that same energy.
@@mrgibbets34 Yeah by telling a joke about an event that is worst than 911 to an entire school in the first seconds of the film. Give me a motherfucking break, dont even try to defend the writers of this garbage spiderman movie. This is popcorn flick, w a few bad jokes and some actions. It didnt need that, it couldve been a hopeful movie w some strong motives but it wasnt that, its average at best like homecoming
Imagine thinking that having anxiety isn't a relatable problem, and thinking that mourning and wanting to move on are two things that cannot coexist. genuinely, film critique shouldn't come from the standpoint of, "this isn't a real human experience" without thinking of the consequences of the art. You can slow down the film, talk about the financial repercussions of Peter's trip. You can give him two months to mourn, and sulk. You can make him suffer from every possible problem on Earth at once, and- Whoops, I just described the kind of filmmaking that made A) the political process in the Star Wars Prequels, B) The slow, bitter, boring ending of TASM2, and C) the reverse Mary-Sue trope possible. I can respect what you think, but I just can't understand it. You're looking at this from the perspective of adaptation, rather than following through on the last 10 years of films that Marvel have already made-- It's a separate continuity now. Direct adaptation is dead for the mainline Marvel films until they choose to introduce new characters, and even then. I love Spider-Man more than anyone. The 2002 film was the first movie I ever saw. But this film was true to the character, and a well made and written film to boot. I can almost understand complaints about his arc, but, again. You've totally misunderstood his arc? His arc isn't about filling in Tony's shoes, or becoming his own man, his arc is about confidence. Peter is scared, because he is in a new world, with very little support, and expectations he knows he can't fulfill. His arc is about overcoming those (relatable) problems. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong, and that the movie is bad, but, I just think you walked out of a theatre and wrote this, thinking, "I wish it was like another movie I saw."
I agree that he may have can in to this movie the wrong way but, the one thing I do have a problem with is the Ben thing. It’s just hard to watch a peter that didn’t have an inspiring Ben🤷🏾♂️
@@Youngenius83 If Peter's sole motivation for doing good is based off of one man's teachings rather than a formation of his own moral values, he's less of a human and more of a weapon. Uncle Ben being formative on him doesn't need to be explored, because the point of this character was to pick up with Peter already semi-formed. Retracing the steps would be redundant and boring.
the giant rat that makes all of the rules Marvel is literally retracing the steps, but with Tony Stark. You know what would be cool? If Peter had name dropped Ben in Homecoming and was characterized as more pessimistic and depressing. There. That’s. It. No ones asking Marvel to retread anything that has a strong part of the narrative. All Marvel did was reinvent his origin and extend it into five movies, give Peter a personality more akin to Dick Grayson, and replace Uncle Ben with Tony Stark. THAT makes all this feel redundant.
@@jpeg204 but still a solid criticism nonetheless. Brad took so much time in the film for the 'Teen Comedy Romance' bits where he plays as a "rival" (since the rivalry just died half way through) of Peter.
@Josip Delacruz because it is annoying af. All the scenes involving Brad is just that, rival to Peter romance to MJ. What's really grinds my gear is how they handle the romance here, it really felt like some teen drama made by Disney for Disney Channel Originals. He could have just written out if the romance is more focused on Peter and MJ. And not just him, MJ, Ned, even Flash have either too much screentime or too much dedicated for jokes or bits that goes nowhere. Ned has become a fat joke's punchlines, and it's irritating af. He literally sat right next to Betty, then cuts the next scene where they're landing and they just magically dating. No setup, no 'geek talk' between the two, NOTHING. And they kept playing this "hahahaha, fat unattractive people gets to date with a diva"-jokes on him too many times. MJ was 1st introduced in Homecoming to be somewhat interested in Peter, but suddenly it's Peter who likes her now, just out of the blue like that.
The first time I watched it, it was the best Spiderman movie for me, but then after a couple of times seeing it, I really don't like it. If I do watch it, it's for Jake and his phenomenal performance. The jokes got SUPER dry after the first time watching it for me.
Asad Parvez lmao what its been 8 months since tony died in the movie. When you have time to think about a mentor dying your gonna be really fucking sad. He wanted something good to happen
@@WrathofFenrir99 His grieving Tony has nothing to do with his burden to become the next Iron Man. As far as the world of the MCU knows it, Peter and Tony are only fellow Avengers members. They know nothing of their intimate relationship, the guidance and the father figure that Tony gave Peter. He actively chooses not to do so because he felt inadequate, that he doesn't have the ability to fill the gigantic shoes of the man who saved the world. You comparing it to being too lazy to study for a test makes me feel like you didn't watch the movie at all
Maybe the wording was lacking but holy shit do we need 50 top comments in a row qouting one sentence and going hitop man bad. It's a pretty valid point that peter being mostly fine emotionally and just focused on having a fun vacay in europe while chasing the girl DOES UNDERMINE the idea he's grieving and just seen his father figure turn into a pile of sand. When raimis spiderman was grieving he was angry and sad, and him being full of rage and guilt effected his relationships. In short, IT WAS RELATABLE. His relationship with MJ and Aunt May where strained, he lost his temper. MCU Spider-man aka Iron Man Jr. just has short bursts of insane poutiness than goes onto crack cheesy jokes.
@@j.a.6310 After 8 months, it's clear he's not going to be sad 24/7, but only when he has time to think about Tony. Also, there is no reason he wouldn't want to go on the trip and spend time with MJ. If somebody important in your life died and people kept reminding you of that person, wouldn't you want to take a break and just relax? Wouldn't you want something good to happen so you won't be as sad. Wouldn't you want to find someone to always be there to cheer you up when you're thinking about that important person that had died? They all seem like things I would want to do if I were in his place.
"It's a pretty valid point that peter being mostly fine emotionally and just focused on having a fun vacay in europe while chasing the girl DOES UNDERMINE the idea he's grieving and just seen his father figure turn into a pile of sand." No, it's not a valid point. Iron Man wasn't dusted. And he died EIGTH MONTHS AGO. Not 'just'. It obviously still weighs on him, especially when doing the superhero thing, but that's not all he has going on. He's allowed to try and pursue happiness, which in this case is going on vacation away from his problems and woo a girl he likes.
From -Spider-Man 2 (2004) Train Scene Ending, comment section "The reason spiderman is the most popular character in marvel is because he is the most relatable. He has financial issues, social issues, stress, loneliness etc. And his identity is the hardest to deduce coz no one would suspect an average guy like him to be spiderman unlike batman. I disagree with your stance on this movie but I still respect the hell out of the fact that you articulated your points so clearly that I was able to see the other side of the discussion. These were valid criticisms. Also cant wait for the next episode on Raimi's Spider-Man!
I agree and I think he's nitpicking because the same arguments about FFH could literally be made about the both the Raimi and ASM films in more detail because this new Spidey trilogy learned from the mistake of the old. While I do agree with some of his points they are over exaggerated and simply "not as deep" as he is making them out to be. Legit all the nitpicking he is doing in this film can be done to discredit Tobey and Andrew's Spiderman.
Also tbh I as a massive Spidey fan like that they are making this incarnation more accurate and unique because for many years we've seen the same old Spider-Man incarnation so I'm glad they are spicing it up a bit
Levi Levien They are valid points. The MCU doesn’t care about Spider-Man and doesn’t understand what makes him a great character. Which is why he’s such a shallow character. But who cares? He’s young and funny.
Thats literally why spiderman was in the MCU. Just for an extra character in the Civil War and to make money. It didn't feel like the cared about spiderman.
They really should have waited to use Spiderman's character, or at the VERY least introduced him BEFORE meeting Tony Stark. That way he would be able to stand as his own hero instead of being crippled into the sidekick, clean-up-your-mentors-mess, role
I enjoyed FFH but eh I don't really agree with some points but at the same time I do. Indeed, we all got different tastes and we all got our own opinions but... eh, it's kind of hard for me to accept negative criticism since I also love this movie, obviously everyone's entitled to their own opinion but... people should accept opinions from one another, instead of harassing them for liking something they do not like- it's okay to disagree, yes, but harassing someone that loves something that you disagree with pretty much... is disgusting. I do respect HiTop Films' points and commentary about the film, but some of the points I disagreed with it. That basically means that you're "not allowed to share your opinion". That's just stupid. We can say our agreements and disagreements, as long as we don't harass one another just because of their opinion, whether they love it or not.
I liked Mysterio, the special effects, how they portrayed the illusions and the actual Spider-Man parts (which may be the best on screen execution of Spidey to date) but everything else was mediocre. I am a huge Spidey fan, but this movie was forgettable. Its a mess of a movie and inferior to Home Coming and not the progress that Spider-Man 2 was. As he said, it was a sloppy movie.
Spiderman would never leave NYC. It's his city. And especially after one of the world's protectors had just died, peter would never leave. If he does leave, he has to lose something. When I first saw this video, I thought it was an overreaction despite the fact I hadn't seen FFH at the time. I was okay with HiTop's opinion, but I wasn't interested in watching the full video. When I finally saw the movie, I was very disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it's barely a Spider-Man movie. He's not overreacting. I like the movies, but there are some things i dont like that i hope are fixed 1. Iron Boy Jr. 2. Villians that hate Tony, not Peter, i want the opposite of that. 3. I think it should be a LITTLE more dark i dont mean like edgy and girtty, just want it to be less happy-go-lucky. 4. Iron Man
Yep 100 percent. I’m only excited for Spider-Man into the spider verse and the PlayStation games and I hate the whole “Spider-Man” in the mcu both of his movies are just about iron man and I hate it
Um there's way more. Where's Uncle Ben(They don't have to show him dying again, but we should at least know he's THERE)? Aunt May isn't inspiring or the sweet old lady she is. Characters aren't accurate. MJ isn't the redhead she's supposed to be. She's more of a deadhead. Flash Thompson is supposed to be a blonde, tall, strong jock. Harry is supposed to be his best friend, not Ned(which is a reference to Miles Morales' best friend.)
@@azek6110 you are referring to all the characters by their physical appearance or the events that happened to them only. MJ's defining characteristic is not her hair colour. MJ in this version has been adapted in a manner similar to Joesph Gordon's Robin in TDKR. Aunt may doesn't have to be old to be sweet and inspiring. A 15 year old's aunt being 120 years old makes no sense. A bully doesn't have to be blonde and tall. The Spidey comics were written decades ago and mostly featured an adult or college student Peter. The movies are accurate for how Peter will be as a teenager in this decade.
Spider-Man is delegated to a teenage sidekick role to iron man and after his death just a tony Stan. It’s ironic seeing as how much distain Stan lee had for the teenage sidekick archetype.
It’s really sad and disrespectful he’s Iron Man Jr in the MCU when he is actually the most iconic and emblematic Marvel character while Iron Man is a B list hero.
@laz kar How does Stan write his Spiderman around Tom Holland when Holland was born in 1996... Bro, he's talking about the characteristics of HIS Spiderman. Not Tom himself. But that's a stretch because the MCU Spiderman is probably as far away from the traditional Spiderman we all know and love. Zero consequences, zero money issues, gadget assists etc.. "oh Mr stark".. yeah, MCU Spiderman was by himself for 6 months.. then he was Tony's bitch
@laz kar "Amazing... every word of what you just said is wrong" Let's see... First appearance of SM: Amazing Fantasy #15, August 1962. First appearence of the X-Men: Xmen #1, September 1963. So Spidey was swinging for more than a year before the X-men showed up. I don't quite get where you got the hating children angle from, I just pointed out that it's a matter of fact that all teenage superheroes before Spiderman were Sidekicks to a grown up Superhero (Like Robin to Batman or Speedy to Green Arrow). This has exactly nothing to do with my view of things (I neither hate children, nor do I think badly of sidekicks, BTW), but thanks for the creative insult, I guess...? As for Spidey working alone, I assume you you allude to the MCU and the 6 months he spent off-screen prior to Civil war? Yeah, like I said, that was off screen. All the time he is on screen he is acting like he is Tony Starks literal sidekick, up to the point that Tony chews him out after his mistakes and tries to stop him from being Spider-man in Homecoming, a scene that would have worked almost word for word in a Batman and Robin movie. Also, you are right, Stan tweetet about Tom that "...He is the exact height and age I envisioned when I first wrote Spider-Man...", and in addition you will find it very hard to find any Spidey fan that isn't absolutely convinced by Tom Holland's performance as Peter or Spider man. I, too, adore him for that. But that got absolutely nothing to do with the writing, the characterization and the plots of Homecoming and Far From Home, which deviated enormously from everything Stan ever wrote to the point of making the Charakter almost unrecognizable. Concerning irony, my grasp of it is quite firm, thank you...I even got two great examples for you: The first being me, opening this post with a quote from a Movie I viciously hate, and the second being you, trying to lecture me about Spidey and the X-Men, when you obviously have no clue and can't even be bothered to do a 10 second google search before making a fool out of yourself in front of the whole internet.
Facts
Yep, and those cracks are starting to show more and more. Give the rights back to Sony!

@Tam873 I agree with you 💯
Tam873 yes, the OG Spiderman.
Yup... while never had personal experience, I read it as Peter burrying himself in fun so he doesn't have to face all those things.

Actually, Ben was overused by the time the MCU took over so they gave him a break
"When you can do what I can, and bad things happen, they happen because of you."
It's not a perfect recollection of what he said, but it's very clearly the "Great Power, Great Responsibility" thing.
Normally I don’t really care about them cutting shit from the source material, but what you said about uncle Ben is soooo trus

xinon uzumaki that would be extremely disappointing to basically all fans of Spider-Man, but at least he would be referenced in the movies, I get that marvel didn’t want to do what dc did with Batman and show the death of their parents 500 times, but the death of uncle Ben is a defining moment for peter Parker, at first peter was using his power just to make some cash, not saving people, but when some crook he last get away kills his uncle, the only father figure in his life, that when he decided to become a hero, his guilt of his uncle’s death is a driving point for him being Spider-Man, it’s why he goes out to help people and stop crime no matter how big or small, because he knows his actions have consequences and that not taking action can have even bigger consequences, for this Spider-Man movie to not even mention his uncle death is just sad when it’s such a big part of why Peter does what he does
@@rateyes1914 but then again if we heard that this spider man is the same as 99 percent of other spider man he wouldn't be unique cuz we are hearing the same story over and over, Peter doesn't have to be spider man because the death of his uncle he can be spider man because he naturally wanted to help people

I liked this movie but boy oh boy, I 100000% agree with you on the Uncle Ben part .
*oh boy yeah*
For real the head stone should of said Uncle Ben with a whisper that said Peter then a gunshot reminding us that Peter failed to save him
Willy Perez omg i agree with u they need to mention it but nope they never mention it again Peter need Ben guidance not tony guidance
@@willyperez2475 That would've been cool but at the same time, wouldn't make sense since Mysterio wouldn't have known about that, right?
Right. They basically act like he never existed and had no impact on Peter whatsoever. When we said we didn’t want another origin story, we didn’t mean hardly acknowledge an important character’s existence.
I love eating Uncle Ben. He is a very scrumptious man.
Spoopy Gool no it bypasses the boring origin we’ve all seen
Mcu Spider-Man you can like but it’s objectively the worst version of Spider-Man and if you support it that is saying you don’t understand the character and you rather support this dumbed down version of the character instead of supporting something like spectacular, spider verse, Ps4, all in which are among the best versions of the character and spectacular if you compare to the mcu is the same age yet is more and exactly like Spider-Man and should show you the problems with the mcu version kimcartoon.to/Cartoon/The-Spectacular-Spider-Man-Attack-of-the-Lizard/Movie?s=beta&pfail=1 the mcu Spider-Man solo movies are so bad if you take them out of the mcu the mcu Spider-Man would be better, you can take out homecoming and far from home and Peter’s character wouldn’t even change in the crossovers in civil war he was already more developed then how he was in far from home meaning you can take those movies out because peter learned nothing at all in those movies and if peter doesn’t grow then what’s the point in the movies, if you take them out of the mcu then the mcu would not change either, nothing happens that influences the world like how winter solider did or something as bad as Thor dark world, mcu Spider-Man solos can be taken out of the mcu like how Ironman 2-3 can be taken out like the Incredible Hulk, like black panther, and absolutely nothing would change that is how bad they are
you're godamn right.
Luis Alberto Sousa Cupello and marvel says no he means nothing

Sad but true
And then you realized that those are from 5 movies combined... I thought he would have said it more tbh...
You know... I could have bought Peter being head over heels in love with MJ better if he had at least ONE pleasant interaction with her in Homecoming.
@@Marsh388 untrue, there is a single scene in homecoming where MJ insults peter, literally one, and its an insult that theyve already made at themselves

Yes, only bring that small part up and forget every other aspect of this Peter that make him unrelatable.
Peter’s relation to audience was supposed to be about having multiple lives to live and striking a balance, the responsibility. MCU Peter never faced any consequences of choosing one of the other.
There's no way that Mysterio's ilusions could have been practical.
The IronMan illusion could've been a robot, and so could all those illusions of Mysterio.

Feel free to tell me I'm wrong, and that the movie is bad, but, I just think you walked out of a theatre and wrote this, thinking, "I wish it was like another movie I saw."
this is such a perfect reply
I agree with you so much, dude
I agree that he may have can in to this movie the wrong way but, the one thing I do have a problem with is the Ben thing. It’s just hard to watch a peter that didn’t have an inspiring Ben🤷🏾♂️
@@Youngenius83 If Peter's sole motivation for doing good is based off of one man's teachings rather than a formation of his own moral values, he's less of a human and more of a weapon. Uncle Ben being formative on him doesn't need to be explored, because the point of this character was to pick up with Peter already semi-formed. Retracing the steps would be redundant and boring.
the giant rat that makes all of the rules
Marvel is literally retracing the steps, but with Tony Stark.
Just putting in, Brad was the most unnecessary character they’ve ever put in an MCU Spider-Man movie
Why do you care
its not like they were treating him as a necessary character within the film anyways so thats a stupid criticism

Also the reason why Peter has money problems as a teenager is because aunt May can’t pay the bills without Ben so peter literally takes all these jobs just to help her and not even with the stuff he wants, if they can’t pay for the roof over their head how can they hope to pay for school over time, aunt may is alone without Ben to help her do you not understand that, most parents taht get into a divorce or have their husband or wife die get into money problems more so given they helped with the bills that’s the whole point,
You saying peter is alone when he sits when in reality no one except flash doesn’t like him all his other class mates treat him like anyone else so don’t say he is alone, by the way that’s not MJ(it’s a bland new character takes that name, if she said her name was Gwen standfell you see that their being disrespectful to Gwen Stacy a character who is nothing like that, same with Mary Jane), I guarantee you don’t look at the comics or any other tv show, movie or game of Spider-Man because this misconceptions are if someone who got into Spider-Man because of the mcu and don’t know anything more beyond that(you may know of him but not really know him otherwise you wouldn’t be defending a disrespectful neft version, like supporting dceu Batman when he is not even close to the character of Batman, it looks like Batman but his actions and character speak otherwise)
Ultimately you shouldn’t care about what You feel if the writing doesn’t make sense(why should you feel emotion when the foundation of those emotions are based on unrealistic circumstances or not empathizesable characters, because the situation should have never occurred based on logic and common sense), for you can have badly written character like rey and kylo or luke from the sequels that can make you feel emotion but it doesn’t make sense because it’s unrealistic beyond suspension of disbelief, look at luke for the sequels the original trilogy is his origin and based on his origin he would not be the man he is in the sequels because it goes against everything that that he learned, same thing is with mcu peter he acts completely a polor opposite to what his origin taught him, if Peter’s mindset choices and actions where influence by his origin he be completely different by Extension homecoming and far from home would be completely different if not better, perhaps comparable to spectacular Spider-Man or ps4 Spider-Man if he was young

Wrong, Iron Man’s death was used to further Spider-Man’s character progression

Although I disagree with you I can respect your opinion on this film.
"We don't do that here"
No jokey absolutely agree, I liked it but hey everbody got diffrent taste ;)
I would accept his opinion if his points were actually good
I can respect he doesn't like it, but I can't respect the video for making objectively wrong points.
Spiderman is the hero that gets back up. He tries until he dies. He tries to do what's right to a flaw. That's our spiderman. That's the hero. That's the man.
Or maybe you are pretty damn dense if you think spiderman cant go on a holiday he isnt perma leaving
@@awildmoose6541 nah man. I'm just basing it on every iteration of Spider-Man in the comics. MCU Spider-Man isn't Spider-Man. He's just a sticky boi. Sorry man, Spider-Man just has too much personal responsibility over every single life in nyc. That's who aunt may and Ben parker raised. Man can't just go on vacation, it's out of character.
@@VeryUnemployed he leaves nyc multiple times in the comics ??? i get that u watched the vid and think you know the deep ideologies of spiderman mut dude you kinda missed the point, nyc isnt some jail he has to attend he leaves often and a vacation is extremely in character for spiderman who is questioning if he even should be spiderman anymore.
@@awildmoose6541 when Spider-Man leaves nyc, he makes sure someone is there to protect the city. When he does leave nyc and doesn't set anything up, someone dies, a villain takes over the city, he goes missing for months, or has been kidnapped. If you like MCU Spider-Man, just say that dude, because you're definitely wrong about the Spider-Man that we've been reading about from multiple artists over the last plenty of decades. @@VeryUnemployed hulk and dr strange are both protecting nyc while he is on vacation. its completely in character and makes perfect sense. i get that you want to nitpick but you are doing it about something that you are objectively wrong about.
Take a shot every time Spider-Man says Mr.Stark
There's a RUclips compilation that goes on for 1 minutes and 18 seconds, but that was before Far From Home. Now it's probably 3 minutes of, "Mr. Stark this, Mr. Stark that..."

I mean, considering this was right after endgame (the movie ironman fucking sacrificed himself to save the universe) all the movies are gonna be saying that because he saved every living being from dieing.
This movie didn't leave any impact on me, it was just one more of the MCU
I’d be okay with that - - but an Average MCU movie is Treated like a Scorsese movie - they are not as good as they Hyped up to be.
@@npcimknot958 is funny cause it happened to me too I remember more that it was a date than the movie itself 😂😂😂
Agreed. Also feel like the long run so far Spider-man I mean iron man Jr. films are not really mentioned.
I really enjoy this movie for its lightheartedness, humor, and to see a Spiderman on screen, but beyond that, my heart stays with Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield for now
does every movie have to leave an impact on people, cant they just exist for people to have a fun time watching them
I respect that you call out the flaws while still staying level-headed and coherent.. and that's what you gotta do sometimes, no matter how blunt. Your take on the series still very much counts as constructive criticism and I admire that you don't join the bandwagon by gushing over every little thing, calling it the "tHe beSt spiDeRmAn FiLm eVer" or letting fanboyism cloud one's judgment and critical thinking.
Sadly, you'll still catch alot of flak for not being part of the circlejerk and although I don't agree with your opinions on some of your previous reviews, I still respect it so take this Like, sir.
its kinda lame how you give him credit for being level headed but automatically assume people who loved the movie to just be mindless fanboys circle jerking the film.
I hate that the movie never mention any idea of Aunt May being afraid to lose Peter or Peter's connection to Ben are my biggest problems. I don't know if I'm even excited for No Way Home because of this level of opportunity being wasted.
I kind of like this May
She's like "ah shit my nephew's got super strength and senses he'll be fine"
I wanna see her lose her shit when Peter's all beaten up
I feel that could make things....different

About this franchise. ;)
A.k.a the MCU Spider-Man movies.
I’m about to replay that son bitch with some fresh new suits.
I like the movies, but there are some things i dont like that i hope are fixed
I’m only excited for Spider-Man into the spider verse and the PlayStation games and I hate the whole “Spider-Man” in the mcu both of his movies are just about iron man and I hate it
Thanks Disney
@@AtulSingh-uu9vt cool.
Spider-Man is delegated to a teenage sidekick role to iron man and after his death just a tony Stan. It’s ironic seeing as how much distain Stan lee had for the teenage sidekick archetype.
It's even more ironic since spider man was literally the first non-sidekick teenage superhero. Part of what made him so successful.
@laz kar "Amazing... every word of what you just said is wrong"
Let's see...
Concerning irony, my grasp of it is quite firm, thank you...I even got two great examples for you:
The first being me, opening this post with a quote from a Movie I viciously hate, and the second being you, trying to lecture me about Spidey and the X-Men, when you obviously have no clue and can't even be bothered to do a 10 second google search before making a fool out of yourself in front of the whole internet.
Have a good evening, Sir!

@LazloFF except that right after Happy says that, he looks on at Peter working on a new suit while rocking out to ACDC or whatever and smiling. You act like there's literally no room for confusion when they're constantly trying to have their cake and eat it too with him.
@LazloFF yes, because nothing screams more of letting go of Iron man than making a suit to Back in Black on a private jet to win back your stark tech glasses more than what they did in Far From Home.
I have a lot of respect for you. It's not fanboyish to prioritize character over spectacle. You got me in to Gotham, your first Raimi breakdown was incredible, your defense of Batman's no-kill rule was spot on.

They definitely do show Peter being broke in this movie with use of the necklace. I do agree they NEED to write Tony off already along with all his tech. If anybody is reading this you should go watch the short film "Peter's to do list" It definitely should have made the final movie and shows things like Peter's poorness more in depth, some Spidey gadgets, and even why he barely uses the Spider Sense anymore. (he has a bulletproof suit now, and begins to rely on the fact that its bulletproof, weakening or at times even losing his spidey sense.
Spider-man was grieving in the first spider-man film, and he was still seeking love with MJ. You can do both, being in grief doesn’t stop you from pursuing things that you want. Also no relatable problems? This movie exemplified a lot of Peter’s everyday insecurities and issues.
