This is a good video, when I was In School for small engines my instructor had us hone our cylinders and get them as clean as we possibly could , then he would take a white rag with a little bit of transmission fluid and wipe the cylinder out again, the white rag would come out black. His explanation was that transmission fluid would pull the dirt out of the crosshatch, he would put some transmission fluid in the parts washer as well .

Those cams like 9.7:1 and they run great, I ran them in a 2002 Train stage 4 95" 100/100 build but with your compression you're leaving some on the table. I would recommend a set of Wood TW6, they come on harder, sooner and run out to Redline. S&S 510's come on like a turbo, slight lag under 2800, then pull hard all the way up. TW6 come on like a big block, 2600 smack you in the face and pull all the way up even harder. They are a little tickier but it's a healthy tic and I love the sound of it. Just my opinion, some won't agree, just speaking from my experience and it's easy spending other peopl'es money lol.
Agreed on the cams being a little “small”. Unfortunately at the time when I did the cams, I was specifically looking for gear drive and S&S only offered a .510 lift….so it was for a lack of options. However, am really happy with how they do perform and yes, she is a torque monster.

Man you guys rock! Thank you for all of the content definetly an inspiration to all of Us to work on our own harleyz. Got a question, So I am working on my project a 2003 Dyna wide glide. I installed big bore kit, 525 cams, camchest and a daytona twin tec ignition system. I am having trouble getting a spark from my spark plugs. So my question is do I need to have a particular piston TDC so it will pick up the crankshaft position center? I am getting power right up to the connector that goes into the coil.
Sounds like you got the ignition hooked up wrong or something. They’re pretty simple. They either have spark or they don’t if they don’t somethings wrong.
Someone lied to you, only way you could break it is if you put it back in and you put it back into deep because it is a tapered NPT plug. You have to feel it
If you don’t mind me asking why not use the .051 compressed thickness Cometic gasket I noticed you said you used the .030 compressed thickness gasket. Btw my 88 motor is stock with a Feuling camchest with the 525 cams
@@kruesioriginals I personally don’t know nothing about the head gaskets I am changing well replacing mine because I cracked my head when I was trying to remove the stud for the exhaust so I should get myself the Cometic .030 mls gasket? @@kruesioriginals well after realizing and thinking about it I think I should just go with the stock one from Harley because that’s what my other cylinder has I don’t want to mix different ones since that might change the variations of compression right?

Well for starters that hundred inch kit is trash and I don’t even think they make it anymore because they had so many problems. Plus this is a stunt bike and you do not want a bunch of power and talk like that in a stunt bike makes it very hard to handle
get it overbored by hammer performance in idaho, $650 and use their head service for another 650. For another 50 bucks they'll set the ring gap and install the piston in the jug for you
You can make plenty of power with a 95. I’ve built 120 hp 95 inch motors. But when it comes to a 95 I prefer 10 to 1 and a mild Cam, it’s more for stunt riding 100 and 100 or less is best
@@kruesioriginals Thanks for the reply. I actually gave that some thought after I posted. I don't do stunts on my bikes. I can see where controllable torque from idle through the mids would lend itself well to doing what you guys do. A snappy power band does not a smooth nooner make.
