- Termite prevention is necessary in many parts of the country. Trelona Termite Baiting System will give you total protection again SUBTERRANEAN termites, the kind that live in the ground and will do the most damage to your home.
There are two types of homes here in Florida...those that have termites and those that will get termites.
If you are looking to "Do It Yourself", Trelona is what the pro's use and it is what you should use.
Most people are familiar with Sentricon but Trelona does better in university tests and unlike Sentricon, you can do it yourself!
Trelona also kills termites that are already infesting homes. Locate any areas with termite activity and surround the area with Trelona bait stations. In about 90 days all the termites should be killed
STEP BY STEP:
1. Order bait stations, Trelona bait stations and large auger drill bit.
2. Drill holes in soil about every 15' apart and about 18" away from the home (does not need to be exact).
3. Replace Advance bait container and replace with Trelona.
4. Place bait station in hole and fill in dirt.
5. Reinspect in about one year and replace Trelona container if necessary.

Don't believe me? Google "Creepy Creatures Termite and Pest" and see our Google reviews :)
As someone who watches a lot of these types of videos for DIY. I think it’s great you got right to the point and shared your professional knowledge with the masses. Wish everyone did this. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching :)
I just watched your video on Trelona, as we saw swarming termites on our patio today! Thanks for putting your information and expertise on RUclips! This will help us tremendously, and I appreciate your passing along your knowledge!
It's so honorable of you to share these "insider" tips with homeowners!!!
Why thank you ;)
This was posted a year ago and i just found it. We were looking for termite prevention but pest control would charge us almost $2000 😱 a year. I am very happy to have found you. Truly appreciate you for helping people like us! 👌💚
Thanks. These look identical to the ones Terminix installed for me a year ago. I am now paying a monthly fee to “rent” these stations and soon will stop service as I see no reason to rent.
Great video! I have done pest control for over 13 years and have watched tons of videos. You were straight to the point and told the truth about the chemicals. I fully agree with all your chemical recommendations
Thanks for watching, Jake and I appreciate your feedback.
The cartridges are no longer available on amazon and the bait stations are also not available
Great video! I have a paver patio. Can I treat where the patio touches the foundation or should I pull up the pavers to treat?
All you need is a drill and a cordless drill motor. Drill bits are used in well drilling and on the end of masonary drills.
Thank you for taking the time to share this valuable information with us!
Is this safe to install in my vegetable garden?
Thank you for this video 🙏 saved me lot of money!
Thank you for the video. Will this work for my mobile home?
You state above that this can be used for subterranean termites. What about other types?
what if you got termites in the ceiling what do you do then? Thanks
You seem to be the only one who says to disregard the monitor and immediately install the poison bait. Can you explain why? Thank you.
Wish you were up here! I bought this house for rescues. I run a small Pit Bull Rescue out of my house. Gonna have to try to treatthis myself. I boughtthe house on a land contract. Was told it had termites but was treated. Well, its infested. I live on $800 per month SSI,mostly all self funded. Just paid my house off last Nov.and discovered the termites last month along with a lot of termite and water damage. Im afraid to check the rest of my house.
Ive had bad luck with termites. In 1989 my uncle passed away and left me several vintage Gibson guitars. He lived in Tampa. I went down to get them only to discove all were completely ruined by termites.
As for a Pit Bull and possum story, last year I woke up to find one of my rescues had found a baby possum and brought it in and put it in bed with me! So next day I got him to a wildlife rehabber.

Thank you for the video. Can I use Trelona as above ground stations for dry wood termite?
Would you recommend getting rid of all the mulch?
Thanks for your expertise
Thank you. You just saved me $1300. What do you recommend for fire ants?
Can you use the bait inserts indoors for a dry wood termite infestation?
What about for Dry wood termites?
Amazon doesn't sell any completed kits. And they won't ship to my area.
Love honesty. Tk a lot

If the baits are under water then dry out, that are situated in a low part of the yard is the bait still good?
My house has a block basement, wood framed, has a brick exterior that goes in the ground on average 1'. There is a void underground approx 1" between the brick exterior to the wood sheathing a perfect void for termite entry.
I live in the Northeast and have termite activity. We have dense soil here. Terminix came out and applied termidor by squirting it in the ground with a rod every 18" and only on average 3" down.
Is this an effective defense from termites with termidor or do I need to treat it with a complete trench?
Thank you for your video. Apparently we have termites under our pool liner. Do you have any experience in this? We have a cement deck around the inground pool. We are now replacing the pool liner, again. Any help we would appreciate!
drill bit link dead. what is the size of drill bit I need to get? Thanks
Dude. Bless you....
Mine are only inside of my inside house windows so that won't help
Thank you very informative. I looked you up. My neighbor had a company come in and gave him an estimate for $500 bucks and then $50 every quarter. We are here in PA with a home in Sarasota. So we have your number if we ever need a trusting soul like yourself. Thanks again.
Great info thanks for sharing!!!
Just to be clear: do I need to take
Out the wood Bait and leave the advance inspection cartridge and add the trelona bait ?
Dig a six inch deep perimeter around your home and back fill it with "Taurus SC".... You'll never see Termites Again.
What can I do in the winter up here in Ohio... they are very active in my house and I need a way to get rid of them until I can put that stuff in the ground
Does this trelona have bad smell?
Do you put one or two bait cartridges in it?
What if you have a concrete walkway adjacent to part of the home? Do you have to break up the concrete or can you go beyond (2ft). the 6 inches
How do it install them where I have concrete
I've been looking for some of the replacement cartridges up on Amazon and been finding that some if them say not for sale: AK, AL, CA, GA, HI, MA, PA, TN, WA, UT, NY,. is this true that you can't get in it some states?
I just purchased a home and found termites. Even on my window sill and in the basement. I stopped with Vinager and water and watched them die but I know there has to be more. What do I do? I'm in PA
Hi Eunice. Vinager will kill what it touches but it will not kill the nest and they will reproduce faster than you can kill them. Look for their droppings (frass) then search directly above there. Drill holes with a small drill bit, about 1/8". Drill holes in the area and inject it with Premise. It is super easy to use. Just shake the can, put the tip in the holes that you drilled and spray in the holes. When you drill, you want to feel for "pops" where the drill hits the galleries (hollow tunnels in wood). When you find that, you are golden. Use this, you can get it on Amazon. amzn.to/3nnamZO
ANTS?
When using termidor, if there is a garden bed on the edge of the house, do I do it around the edge of the garden or the house?
have you read the label ? It litterly tells you everything .
Thanks so much
I like your honesty but I have to say you put the station away too close to the house. It has to be 4 feet away otherwise you are actually attracting termite to your foundation. Thanks.
What’s with the green ones you are taking off?
The green ones are Sentricon.
You are the pestGUY!
That's valuable information.
Hope not losing job because they will not having termites for your business!
😅😅
you are one of those people on the internet trying to sell me stuff ...
Has anyone tried this and it worked?
The product is not available, they switched it out with a monitor station! Typical of Amazon!
Good afternoon sir ! I hate to be "that one" person, but I want to ask anyways.
With the potential issues with Dorian, do you get involved with animal rescue, or do you fly solo ? I guess either way, if you do, will there be a way to donate ?
Sorry for asking this on your termite video sir !
sheldon murphy Hi Sheldon. That’s a great question. It looks like we have dodged Dorian but we were ready. Luckily, we haven’t taken a direct hit here in Tampa Bay in a long time so we haven’t seen some of the necessary boat rescues and such that you see in other areas.
My Company provides free pest control for the Humane Society so when Irma hit a couple years ago we took on some adult cats and a litter of kitties. My wife was also not happy with me because I got a call (as the storm was approaching) about a cat on a front porch at a vacant house. So I made the 25 min drive to check it out. It’s always weird driving on empty streets that are otherwise crowded.
I’ve wanted to go to hard hit areas to assist with rescues but I’ve had a knee that only allowed me to stand for about 30 minutes. In January, I had a knee replacement and I’m doing much better.
Joe, my most awesome tech suggested we head over the the east coast after Dorian and help out. It would be great if we could and we will if possible. But I still have a business to run and there are only two of us. There are bills to be paid, dogs to be cared for and children to be picked up at school. My wife works long hours as a cancer researcher an hour away so it is tough for her to pick up much more slack.
Regardless, there is nothing more I’d like to do than help animals that have been hit by a hurricane.
Im not very active anymore anymore but if you google “Dusty Showers breast cancer” you will see I spent nearly every waking hour helping those with breast cancer.
Animal rescue will take over one’s life. I have so many friends that are overwhelmed because the more you do the more is asked of you. I used to be like that and it was killing me. I’ve learned balance and now I have a family.
It’s very likely Dorian will destroy lives, people and animals. They will need help and I hope we will all offer what we can.
Thanks for watching my videos.
sheldon murphy I should add, I work with many rescue organizations but I tend to fly solo. Most rescues I do happen fast and do not need team work. When an animal is trapped somewhere it’s easier to get in the truck and go rather than wait until people can meet up. Also, what’s common is that too many people get involved and most are inexperienced. Small groups are always best unless you are needing to canvass an area to find where a lost dog may be showing up on a regular basis.
My grandparents had them
Please!!!!
Subterranean termites are very sensitive to disturbance so when you change the station from wood to bait they never return. Great stations are an absolute joke
We have stopped using bait stations. I have never liked them but thought we would try them again. However, for the DIY'er that can't afford a Termidor treatment or does not want to pay for one, this a great Plan B. Thanks for watching.
You could have pinned a collar microphone. I had to strain my ears.
GLOVES ........
Can i ask you something?
Yes
Why is this guy destroying his own job security?
Thank you!
