Here's an overview of this video. Basically, termite bait stations and liquid chemical treatments both work! They are more similar than they are different. Bait stations store the termite poison in stations around the perimeter of a structure while liquid treatments treat the soil directly.
Bait stations are a quicker solution for installation, they don't use as much chemical, and they are newer technology. Liquid treatments are a long term solution, use more chemical, and are traditional treatments.
I highly recommend getting your home treated for termites! Termites cause billions of dollars worth of damage each year. You need to know what termites are and how to identify them if you own a home that is built out of wood.

The Sentricon stations are always active. The "bait" is very durable cellulose material with the active chemical being noviflumeron which stops the termite from molting.
They don't attract termites at first but termites are random foragers. They are constantly searching for food up to 100 yards from the colony. Once they find the station they will use pheromones to mark it as a food source. It's very effective. The University of Florida has multiple studies showing it's efficacy.
Good info overall in the video. You have a good head for the business. Great advice at the end.
And Dr Roger Gold found Termidor to be much more effective then Sentricon (aka overpriced revenue maker)
Also I lived in a townhome and my neighbor had an active termite tube that I popped open OVER A MONTH after Sentricon was installed liquid > bait stations
My experience is they are unreliable compared to Taurus or Termidor
This is an excellent, detailed, thorough and understandable presentation. You have a bright future in your profession!
First time here, just bought a house and glad this was the first video I found! Top info, thanks for the great video!
So much to learn from this. He explained well the pros and cons. Thank you for sharing this informative and educative video.
Hope you guys liked this video! Both treatments are great options when preformed by professionals. Just be sure to probably install and treat and you will be termite free soon
Dan can i have your email please
A 2yr old new construction on a slab with bait termite protection. No one has come out to inspect, are inspections annual with a slab foundation?
The baits just don't really work
You were fair! Best info for consumers I've seen on RUclips because you tried to be objective more than most who primarily say dont use bait. Oh by the way senitrcon has been used commercially since 1995 and has been upgraded a few times since then where it goes in with active termiticide from day one.Thank you.
@@ivorinebrown7627 contact the builder about the pretreatment and get the warranty as well as info from the pest control company. Good luck.
The best video about termites for the diy homeowner.
Thank you!
I would get a company to install sentricon in case you do get termite damage in your home, they usually warrant repairs and retreat the property. Typically an annual renewal fee of 250$ or 300$
@@bloopereel33 yeah my warranty just went up to $550 a year that’s why I’m here. Why pay for a warranty when I can check bait stations and treat myself as needed.
Thank you very much for all your time and information. Much appreciated.
Great explanation young guy.
Very nice explanation….👍🏽
Awesome video! Thank you!
Interesting factoid: The active ingredient in Termidor is Fipronil (9.1%). The same Fipronil is used in topical flea and tick liquid used on pets (9.8%).
Yep, this is always a good fact to point out to customers that are paranoid you’ll poison there pets
Just whip out the Ol’ frontline flea topical label
Very informative. Thank you so much.
You are so welcome!
Great explanation thank you!
Great video, really appreciate this
Thanks for the info , Dan. Will check your DIY website for Carpenter Ants
Good video. Thank you for creating it. I have just recently found I have a termite issue - at least it looks like one - and if you were near me, I'd hire you guys to do the job.
Very helpful. Thank you ☺️
Thanks for watching!
Hey Dan, great channel. What about granules like what Bayer makes that has Imidacloprid and then just spread around base of house 6" and then lightly water?
what is best for a home that has water standing under it after it rains really hard. it is an old crawl space type home. thanks for all of your informative videos.😊
GREAT INFO!!
great video
my school in my elementary years had that gray an black on in the school yard along the edges of school
I love this guy!
Good video man thanks!
You’re welcome :)
Nice presentation. How about making a hybrid system. Use bait station without the real bait inside the plastic shell with slots. Now it's not a one time treatment. You can refill through this gadget annually. This should be more effective in areas with high humidity, moisture and leaching issues.
Here's my take on the choices. I live in Thailand in a circa 1,000 sq. ft house. The climate is tropical and similar to the southern USA but with more rain. I opted for bait stations because of the standing groundwater which occurs so often. Last year I installed 20 bait stations around the house and found termites in 16 within the first two weeks. I baited the stations and effectively eradicated them within 3 months including the removal of a 2 meter long mound on the property. This winter was very wet again and after the groundwater dropped I rebaited the stations. This time 7 out of the 20 stations showed infestations. I choose the bait stations because of the flexibility of dealing with persistent infestations. I could never afford the cost of the liquids required. With global climate changes housing construction policies have to change to begin building houses on raised pillars again to mitigate infestations.
Hey buddy,
Great video! Can you tell more about how to apply termidore liquid treatment? Can you create a video on it?
Haha looks like you found it! Yes I have 2 diy termite treatments
Cool thanks
Hey Dan great video.. i noticed two holes of drywood termite i teared down the drywall has nothing.. thought i got foam based temidor and drill the hole and injected .. after that i dont find the temites anywhere i being cautious i bought this spectracide sticks and placed them around home.. got taurus sc and sprayed around.. i am not finding any drywood termite after i am still not having peace of mind would they still be around in my home.. i am thinking to do tent fumigation does it really be necessary
Great video and very useful insights! Quick question, what if I'm noticing formatting of colonies within my home? I've notices mud spores near my boiler in my garage. I'm guessing they are well within my home if they are popping up in a central location.
Yeah that’s not a good sign. I would get a pest company to do a free inspection
@@DanTheBugMan do they give free inspection? They want $150 for inspection
Termite technician here! A reputable pest control company should give a free inspection prior to any treatment or service contract. Its usually done by the company's sales teams. How else would they know the best way to treat if they dont do an inspection to identify the conducive conditions?
I have a question: Where did you get the poster that you have on the wall ? I need one like that, please let me know, thank you.
Great video! Question: is the liquid chemical safe for kids and pets? Is it safe for grow vegetables later on the same soil? Thank you!
Excellent
I have almost 37 years experience in the business. There’s nothing that comes close to Termidor SC. Not Termidor HE and definitely not Taurus SC and unfortunately the big national companies have evolved termite baits into a money making racket. If you have baits and the company is checking them more than a every 2 months basis you are being ripped off. I tried Taurus SC a couple years ago and had a 100% retreat rate. With Termidor HE its always worked but can take upwards of a year to get full control but with Termidor SC and almost 23 years of use it has a 0% retreat rate, yes zero.
So liquid termidor SC is the best??
Have you ever used Navigator SC? It has 9.1% fipronil.
I can’t order it to my state; so now what
Taurus had same active ingredients though???
@@ZomBeatBrainZTaurus works amazing don’t listen to him, stuck in his ways after 37 years. Termidor HE also works amazing.
I have several tunnels around my yard. My houses is brand-new and sprayed for termite protection for I believe 3 years what would be best way to treat my yard
Very informative and appreciate your efforts👍🏼.There are termites in the Wardrobe(edges)which are made of plywood and covered with sunmica(fevicol fixed). How do liquid insecticide reach termites which are under sunmica.Even if sprayed over sunmica will it not come off due to any chemical reaction between insecticide and fevicol🤷♀️..? Hope ull answer ✌️
I have a question. I’m replacing the pipes on my house to pvc getting rid of the iron and steel piping so the floors are dug up. What kind of termite treatment can I add inside the opening we dug up? What can I get on Amazon?.
DIY, do both bait and trenching with liquid.
Hi Thank you for these videos- in this video, you did not specify, as far as I know, the "poison" used in the bait stations- Is it fipronil? It makes sense to me that it would be, but it would be nice to know. This is what is used in Termador- Thanks-
Dan how much would you charge for that type of job? Not for the bait station treatment, the other one.
How far away from the foundation should the bait traps be placed? How effective are the Spectracide bait traps that Home Depot sells? THANKS....
Hi mate I learn a lot from you . Can I use liquid chemical on slope ? TIA
I grown food in my yard in South Florida so I guess baits will work for me. I don’t want to poison me soil with the liquid. Is my food forest safe from the liquid runoff? because it rain a lot sometimes.
I installed Spectracide bait stations in my front yard last year, the orange bar popped up this week, and a bunch of brown worms have started coming out every night and sometimes go under my front door, into the house. I used the Taurus SC there yesterday, so hopefully that kills the worms too lol
Haha I wouldn’t trust those spectricide things. But good job using Taurus! That will definitely help
Spectracide is just a waist of money. It doesn’t work
Where can I buy taurus sc ?
@@fabp4289 i got it from ebay!
Hey Dan! I live in a new community in the newly built home in South Carolina. Our builder gives you a year free with Sentricon terminate system. The year is past and I’m trying to research on doing it myself. My problem is where do you get the refills? I haven’t found a solid location on where to purchase that. Please let me know any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The builder has an agreement with your local pest control company to install the bait stations. When the year is up, you will hear from the pest control company who will inspect and service the monitors. At that time, you will have the option for continued (paid)service. The average price is around $300.00-$350.00 per year. You can shop around for the best price, but ask about the warranty.
If you use the liquid does the barrier have to be continuous around the entire house?
Great job Sir... any advice on getting rid of snakes and spiders... thanks...
Thank you! Well that depends on a lot of factors…. Snakes usually done hang around for long. There’s a product called snake away. And for spiders be sure to clear out any sticks or leaves around the house and maybe use a spray to get rid of them
Dan I’m making my own bait station… what chemical should I soak the bait with… love your content
This is a terrible idea lol
@@joseph151just dont
Good to know!!
Thanks!
@Dan The Bug Man, thanks for this helpful video. I'm tempted to save money, order the bait systems and install them myself. Is there any reason why you would recommend that I leave this project to the professionalls?
Thanks for watching! Hey if you have the time and energy, then go for it. Termite treatments are not rocket science! If you are doing it yourself, I would definitely recommend doing a liquid treatment and not bait stations
If you do it YOURSELF make sure you read the label so you do it correctly and dont create some issues you weren't expecting. Good luck.
Hi, Dan , how are you doing, I have a question, I like to use the liquid of bio advanced mixed with water pouring around outside of house wall for every 2 months, but I have a fruit tree near the wall about 6 feet distance, I am worry that the roots of fruit tree absorbed the liquid of treatment. Is it not good ? or do I change to use
the termite stakes near area of fruit tree ? Thank you for your attention
Hello! I’m not 100% sure but I’ve never known pesticides to effect plants. Even when we spray chemicals into the ground around plants they never die so I would think it would be ok
Dan the bug man how long have you been in the pest control service. I’ve been doing it for about 4 years in Florida
I live in arizona state with no humid and dry and hot in summer. Which product should I go? Baiting system or liquid ?
Is it worth it to purchase a contract with insurance? We pay 800 a year for bait stations and yard treatment. 3/4 acre lot with 20 stations//wood strips We average 1 station per year having to be treated on quarterly inspection.
I've been getting liquid treatment every single year since 2020. Had another 2021_22_23_& having it tomorrow 24. I have stumps they are eating on. I had termites in my home in 2020 and had to get it treated to save the house. Since then I've gone with every single year. Addressed the issue of water damage in the home. The home is nice & dry & I haven't had any issues with them but when I see Swarms every year I freak out. They only inspect my home every 3 years. Strange. Mobile Alabama very humid here
I love your video !! I got a new construction house. Can I use bait stations 7 aground 1600 sq feet and liquid around the perimeter of the house ?
Thank you! Yeah you can use both if you want but I would just do bait OR liquid. Not both
Hey quick question but where did you get that poster that’s on your wall, it looks like ants and termites.
Question I watched ur other vidoe how to diy liquid treatment . Ok whag if you do only two sides of the house where I’m sure there is termite and had termites ? Is that enough ? Or like if 10 termites go through and take it back to the colony is that enough it will kill the whole thing
Two sides of the home should provide some good coverage. But try to do all sides if you can. But yeah if just a few termites get it then it will eliminate the colony
@@DanTheBugMan thank you
Painting bedrooms and found 3 rooms with drywall damage and one room with active bugs eating drywall paper. Plus there was one day swarmers were seen in that active room. House on a slab and Orkin drilled inside house through the foundation every 10-12 inches only on the obviously effected walls plus drilled into drywall down low and injected foam only on effected walls. They didn't trench outside but just squirted the Termidor every foot or more around the outside perimeter. Is it safe to assume the critters have been terminated? Should we still do annual inspection and further treatments only if activity is spotted? Appreciate any comments.
Orkin inspector here, im curious to why they didnt trench, but yes depending on the slab your on those other treatments they did were necessary and also has residual affect
I notice you mentioned bait stations are a quicker solution but I disagree, stations can take a much longer time to eliminate an active colony. And I’ve inspected hundreds of homes with bait stations and active termites in the home that were attracted by the bait but then moved onto the home (the biggest bait station.) if soil conditions are very damp we usually go with imidacloprid as it stays put much better than fipronil in high saturated soils.
I was also advised that if you have existing termites then the bait stations don't work. The termites have already found their wood source, so they could care less about the wood in the bait station.
Hi Dan i started doing my own pest control the last few years. My home is ant and roach free. I will start termite control soon. What are your thoughts if I did both systems? Because some of the areas around my house can't be trenched. If I did do both systems how far apart would you put the baite stations? Thanks keep up the good work
Why can’t it be trenched if I may ask?
What is the purpose of digging a small ditch for the liquid product? Can I pour it on the surface and let it soak in? I live in SW Florida and our soil is sandy with some clay. Watched another vid showing them treating the back fill with product before covering the ditch.
The purpose of the ditch is just so the solution doesn't run off. Just make sure its soaking in to the ground right next to the house. Yes that's what most people do is treating the backfill but its pointless in my opinion
Orkin installed bait traps. Should I suggest a one-time liquid treatment? For ultimate coverage?
Good video thanks.
Question. What happens if you use both liquid and bait?
The liquid is safe to do it myself ? Thanks
Are there different kinds of termites and if so do you treat them all the same.
Would u say cedar siding attracts termites?
What if the subterranean termites made in to attic? Is termidor spray/foam to the affected wood along with bait station on the ground good enough treatment?
As long as you do the bait stations correctly that will be enough to eliminate the colony, yes. They are subterranean termites so make sure you treat the soil really well. And termidor foam on the active termites will work well too
How about a concrete slab sunroom. Is drilling required in the slabor can a perimeter application of the sunroom acceptable?
Perimeter soil treatment will work
If a house is on pylons, do you dig a trench around every pylon and pour the liquid in it? Do I spray the pylons also? Im assuming yes.
Look into boric acid & bora-care if you are doing a new build.
So I live in an area where the ground is very wet most of the time. We just found a huge infestation in our bathroom and we have a slab foundation. We also have a septic tank right behind my house. I want to treat the yard to prevent anymore termites coming in. Is there a recommendation for which would be better for our situation?
Not much labeled to treat the yard for termites and being a damp area don’t use Imidacloprid based products like Premise 75. If it’s very damp I’d recommend Termidor HE because the extra moisture in the soil will help disperse the treatment.
Hey. Thx for sharing this info. I/m from texas and gotr a very very bad situation with termites. How may I contact you to get an advise. TIA
Sentricon is not a "bait" in the conventional sense, it does not attract termites to it and the sticks in it last a long time and from my understanding its actually more beneficial to leave the bait stick in if it isnt too depleted so the termites continue to feed on it, also its aging actually causes it to be more conducive to termite activity.
Correct
Hi Sir. Could i ask about the treatment sir? In my bath room, i have one spot termite actived . I have installed sentricon bait station by professional. They installed only 19 sentricon bait station for exterior and one AG station for interior ( bath room termite actived spot ). My question is could i spray with Spectracide Terminate Termite Killing Foam to any other room's by myself, i making tiny hole by drilling to drywall and can i spray to prevent with Spectracide Terminate Termite Killing Foam behind the drywall for entire house or could i leave like that with their treatment. I worry about termite will move to other spot and eat other room's structure. Please advice me sir. Thanks Sir. With Best Regards.
Thanks Dan for the video. Great overview for the DIY'er and non-professional.
I have noticed what I suspect to be flying termites. An inspection shows no mud tubes nor signs of termites. Prevention was recommended though. For the Termidor SC product, should I trench a small area around the home and then apply the product? It seems like a more solid barrier as compared to the bait startions. In either case, what is the recommended treatment for where there is concrete coming up to the home but having a small gap, say an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch between the wall and the concrete?
Thanks for watching!! Just get as much solution in to the soil as possible. If the crack is too small you will need to go around it or drill into concrete
Thank you for your video; it was very informative. My question is: what other soil organisms does the liquid treatment kill, or does it only kill termites? Also, can the poison in the liquid treatment move around with stormwater and possibly end up in nearby streams or drinking water wells?
the soil treatment will be very strong when first applied, and probably kill any insect that comes in contact with it. but after a few days it will bond to the soil particles then just be effective against termites... If applied correctly there should be no runoff into the streams
Termidor specifically is extremely deadly to pollinators. Make sure to ONLY apply as directed in the label to minimize risk.
Thank you for the great job. I am in the housse where I see about 15 sentricon baite stations. The stations looks like 2 to three years old. Would please guide me how to proceed to the inspection process myself. Thanks
Thanks for watching! So the sentricon stations are definitely not doing anything anymore if they are that old. To inspect the house for termites, you need a good flashlight. Then if the home has a crawlspace access underneath, then you should look under there for any signs of termite tunnels. If the house is built on concrete, inspect the inside around the baseboards on the bottom floor of the home. Also, nearly all pest control companies offer free termite inspections, so that's a really good option too
@@DanTheBugMan this is not true, if the Sentricon system has the Always Active bait with Recruit HD (like shown in this video, with the white cylindrical cellulose block impregnated with noviflumuron) the bait can stay in the green station for several years and not be replaced as long as there is more than 2/3 of the recruit HD block remaining and the system is inspected annually.
I have added a wood foundation for my new addition. Should I add liquid treatment on top of the rock around my sonotubes?
Oviously, I will not be able to get to this area again to retreat ever again.
Yeah definitely! Treat that soil and just make sure there’s no runoff and the chemical is seeping into the soil properly
Hey Dan! Thanks for this information. I had a question about how effective liquid treatment is for termites. How can you guarantee liquid treatment is effective if there could be something blocking the liquids path, like a rock or something. Just wondering!
I don't fully understand your question, because if it's just gravel against the slab, you can still dig a trench and treat. If it's like a concrete slab in your way, you drill holes and apply the liquid termiticide under the slab to form the barrier. If your house is built on a solid rock and there is no soil, which I've never seen, then you probably live in an area that doesn't have subterranean termites.
A liquid soil treatment is only for subterranean termites. That may help answer your question, until Dan sees your comment. And I'm also a licensed pest technician as well, fyi.
Nice , thanks :)
Even if the liquid treatment doesn’t cover every inch of soil, the termites will still find it. They are exploring insects so they are always tunneling through the soil and they will eventually find the chemical
@@DanTheBugMan hello Dan. How about the brand premise from bayer? Is it also a non-repellent?
If the bait station is installed in the flower bed with mulch. Will mulch compete with the wood in the bait station?
No that will be okay. Just depending on what much it is the termites might not even like it
Dan i hope your doing well! I was wondering how can I attack termites inside my house. I found droppings and small hole on the ceiling. I hope u answer thanks!
I'd call a pest company to check it out. It might not be termites but carpenter ants which takes s different treatment that costs less.
On sentricon the bait if not eaten and still intact you don’t need to change the page but it does need to be monitored once A year
This! Work for a pest control company and I was wondering if anyone stated this.
Termite season is just around the corner. Usually starts in April!
It’ll be here soon
Termite season is year round have found them in bait stations even in winter temperature under 32 degrees as well as in structures. Swarm season is coming and starts depending on how far south you live. Termites can swarm even in cold months if conditions are right for them they stay active year round searching for food sources and even if its cold wood is a good insulator and provide them some protection from cold. Be vigilant.
Hey Dan, I was wondering if I could use termidor SC inside my house. I stay on the last floor and there’s no soil around me yet I have termites, suspecting they might be coming from the roof.
hello! termidor should only be used for outside soil treatment. most termite species only come from the ground
@@DanTheBugMan Thanks a lot for the feedback, I stay on the fourth floor, and I haven't seen a mud piles around the building, so I'm leaning towards it coming from the roof.
You could use Termidor or Premise foam and treat the locations of the mud tubes with the foam.
My termite renewal is coming up in March 2023 for $350.00. I called the company, and they lowered it to $215.00. They have installed 15 bait stations. Is this worth renewing, or should I do it on my own? What's your take?
Do they offer a repair and retreatment warranty on the treatment?
Could you make a video showing us how to apply the liquid poison please
I did! I have two videos on my channel
I found it like 5 mins after I commented my fault lol
Can you put bait stations in the crawlspace? I live in a very old house in southwestern Missouri.
Yes you can!!!
@@benjaminkoerperI'm surprised that wouldn't be mandatory on crawl space foundations
I have a huge termite colony in my house. The house is made of reinforced concrete. The treatment for the house is very expensive and I am looking for a DIY video. The termites have also gotten into the electrical lines. What treatments do you recommend to kill the termites inside the concrete and the electrical lines?
Ask your local pest control companies if they use Sentricon baits. If so, they should be able to treat the effected areas with Recruit AG. Its an above ground version of Recruit HD (the bait used in Sentricon in-ground stations) except its in a powdered form. My Pest Control company has had a lot of success with these above ground stations.
Hello, I live in the Philippines, We have an Active infestation from Subterranean termites, to the point if I put a piece of plywood on the ground, within 3 days the termites will be all over the ground facing surface of the plywood!
So finding them is not an issue...
He get a metric ton of rain here, being a small island, so I am thinking my best bet is to make a few Mounds & place the bait traps in them incase there are multiple colonies. That way the rain wont wash them out.
What is / are the main active ingredients that I should look for in baits?
I found a ground termite hole. Put a bait stake into the hole. The green knob popped up. Replace it with another stake to make sure the nest is exterminated.
It didn't pop up but it's there for the termites. I like the stake method because the holds are there. Just replace the empty stake with new one.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
How far do you place the bait stations from the structure and how many.
Im a termite technician myself. Our company's standard is placing the station about 2 to 3 feet from the roofline and away from gutter spouts. Stations should also be placed about 8 to 10 feet apart for the best results. This helps ensure that the termites will find the stations. Most companies will measure the linear footage of your home and give an estimate based on the measurements. If your home for example is 250 linear feet, its safe to assume that you will need about 25 stations around the house give or take to compensate for additional in ground stuctures/slabs around your home (pools, patios, etc.)
I use the advance bait station and I recently checked it. I actually check it every month, because there is a history of termites. Well I have termites, I replaced the monitored capsule, with a bait trap. Should I remove the wood and drop another bait into it, or leave the wood ?
I checked it again just because I was curious..
Well their eating the bait.. THANK GOD…
My concern is it may not work fast enough.
What if they start causing damage before it kills them. After watching your video I’m going to buy Toridor and line the outer perimeter.. So I’ll be using both
As far as the bait stations go, you can leave the wood with it or put in double baits, either is fine...
And that's great that the bait is working! If they are eating on it even just a little bit the bait will work. Its very effective but will take a few weeks to kill the colony. Thats just how all termite chemicals work. Good luck with the termidor! double protection!
Do the bite station destroy plants/roots?
I seem to have them in the cracks between my patio and my foundation. I saw a mud tube there. I can't exactly dig a trench or put a bait station in that location
Thats not good! If it has a lot of concrete just treat the soil that is closest to the infested area
Flood the cracks with thermidor and it'll still help treat them
You have to drill the concrete with a rotary hammer and get it into the ground through the hole you drill
What if I have sprinklers that irrigate the lawn?
The Trelona bait system in 2023 is the best bait system on the market today because it has an almost pure cellulose bait and is highly attractive to termites because of the high cellulose content--also the material that kills out the colony is an IGR with no toxicity to mammals. It is best for prevention but in most circumstances needs to be used in conjunction with a Termidor liquid treatment if termites are well inside the structure.
It looks like the active ingredient in Termidor is Fipronil. The same active ingredient in the Dcon roach motel bait stations and the same as Frontline for dogs etc. It that correct? My house has Sentricons placed by the previous owner but I dug half of them up because they were in stupid locations and I didn't want to pay to have them inspected every year. Sentricon is very protective of the industry and I have not been able to find the refills online for the homeowner. I was able to find the key/wrench thing to open them up but not to refill them. The DIY bait stations I have found are just the cellulose and not the poison.
The termidor is way more concentrated percentage than the roach or flea products
@@michaelmerck7576 I should hope so. 😀
Can you apply both bait stations and liquid treatment? Thank you for the informative film.
Thanks for watching! You could do both, it would be a waste of time though. They both do the same thing, but if you have time and want to, go for it
@@DanTheBugMan Thank you. I plan to do that. How I can be sure that they are not behind the wall anymore? Probably it is not possible. I think maybe to cut several squares in the drywall for monitoring, kind of hidden doors for occasional monitoring. We have like 8 swarming holes in the area of ~ 3' x 3' close to the ceiling in the wall which separates the bathroom and master bedroom. Only there and nowhere else. The holes came like 3 days ago. So I think to drill out those holes to 1/4" and spray there Termidor or to cut off the square and see what is inside really well. Thank you again.
@@olenaerhardt7725 Bathrooms have plumbing vent pipes that penetrate the roof. These can leak and cause water and rot on the framing members.
I'd like Dan to chime in on whether or not moisture and rot in a dark environment encourages termites like it does roaches and carpenter ants?
Wait but these won’t work for the flying termites will it?
@@MasQueVencedorEnCristo Flying termites are just termites moving to start a new colony. they have to get to the ground where they build the colony... they then use tubes they build to get to new food, the wood. if you treat the ground they will have to get to the ground and will take Termidor SC back to erradicate the queen and colony.
