mariaa gi, if you using American buttercream it was supposed to be very sweet but you can use swiss buttercream which is less sweet

I made this cake a few weeks ago and wow wow wow, was it AMAZING!!!!. Thank you so much Natasha for this great recipe. When you make a simple cake, the taste must be the standout. This cake did not disappoint. I’m gluten free and I’ve always had a problem with gluten free APF having an odd texture when using just baking powder, so I was skeptical about making this cake. I can only say that this will be my go to for vanilla cake from now on. And the buttercream was perfect. It’s hot where I live, 110+ degrees in the summer, so breaking is a problem.....not this time. Thank you again for the perfect recipe once again. God bless you and your family. 🤗

Make sure they cool for at least 20 minutes. To fast up the process put them in the freezer for a few minutes

I made this for a school project and it was the BEST vanilla cake i had in my life! I also had an idea to add a few drops of food coloring in the batter once it was in the pan, then i swirled it and made a marble cake, it turned out better than i though. Would definetley reccomend!

My daughter and I made this tonight! It is soooo delicious!!! we didn't have any buttermilk so we just used milk and used half and half instead of heavy cream because that's what we had on hand. I tried this recipe yesterday 16th april 2024 and thumbs up its mosit and nice.... I did a few changes i added nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon juice, instead of putt the 4tsp of vanilla essence i put to tsp of vanilla essence and 2tsp of almond aessence also i didn't use to 9 inch pans i only use 1 pan which was a 8inch...so if theres any one looking for a moist cake this recipe is a must... Finally got a good recipe

Hello@@sufiamulla you can make a buttermilk by combining milk and vinegar or lemon juice. 1 cup milk and 1 tbsp vinegar makes 1 cup of buttermilk. Mix them both and set aside for 5 mins. Hope that helps 😊

This is my go to for yellow cake. I love it because it comes out perfectly and only uses 4 eggs and regular AP flour. A lot of others use cake flour, and 6 eggs. Thank you for this gem.👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤

I made this but before I saw this I watched the same recipe but from preppy kitchen. And it was literally the best I highly recommend.
Tips: you can use oil instead of butter to the pan.
Add 3 eggs instead of 4.
I used buttermilk but you could use regural milk if you can't get your hands on buttermilk.
And I highly recommend using more vanilla. About 2 tablespoons. It will taste way better.

I used vanilla powder instead of vanilla extract and it tasted the same but I added 5 tsp instead of 4 tsp and it still tasted the same but when I looked it up it said you should divide the amount in 2, for me and my family/family friends we thought it tasted the same. It was delicious!

I just made this cake and omg....it is SO so so so so good! It was also super easy to make. My oven bakes a little slow so I had to bake it for 35 minutes (when a toothpick came out clean).

I have never tried to make something of RUclips and loved it. I just made it. Came back to assure those reading to try. I use vanilla flavour essence as a sub and it turned out great
