    Lots of people have Tesla Model Y's and love them which makes you look at what else the brand has to offer which leads you to the Model S and X. Surprisingly I found that the model S uses nicer materials on the interior but still have the same quality issues commonly found in the Model 3 and Y. The performance is certainly better and options like cooled seats make the car even more pleasant to drive but for 100k + the build quality and paint quality needs to be better.

    I have a Model Y Long Range with 19” wheels which I enjoy driving. The downside is the rough ride on less than perfect roads. I ordered a Model S Long Range to replace it, but I’ve gotten used to the ride height on the Model Y. I don’t know which one I’ll prefer. Thank you for the timely video!

      The Model Y rides better on the 19’s. I prefer the Y over the S.

    I have a 2021 refreshed Model S LR (which I love) and I’m replacing it with a 2022 Model Y LR, trading off some luxury (22 speakers vs 14) for fun, ride height, and easier ingress and egress, which is important when you’re an octogenarian!

    I bought my Y Performance 2 years ago and was excited. Flash forward to now and while I still think the car is great, there are just SO MANY of them EVERYWHERE I go .. it's lost cache vs the S or X which are much less common. Given the S is now considerably cheaper .. it's compelling to just bite the bullet and step into the S and at least not see 100 of your car every time you go for a drive.

    • @kacatley9258
      @kacatley9258 4 месяца назад

      Agreed..that's the dilemma I'm facing. Love the ride height and presence of the Y and the seats and modern look but then an (older) S is so sleek and is is much more of a head turner especially in the bold colors. Hmm.. decisions.

      @@mikerzisu9508 Although they do need to step their overall quality up for the price they charge that’s not what i’m worried about too much since I’m buying the car for the tech, performance, And driving experience. Plus i’d be getting a Nema 14-50 Not a tesla wall charger. But I have been thinking about Just getting A Chevy bolt Ev instead. Although I’m waiting for faster DC charging. I don’t like VW ID4 or Hyundai Kona/ Kia Niro ev because of their lack of full one pedal driving. The Ioniq 5 and Ev6 are too high of a price that i’d rather have an LFP rwd model 3. I’m just gonna wait and see what happens with other EV’s and I’ll choose in about a year what i’m gonna put my money on.

Everyone I’ve met so far has said the S is the better choice but it’s probably just aesthetics (more aggressive exterior and somewhat better interior). I've been a fan for years and I do well with change, but you have became a total tesla fan boy. I enjoy your content but i miss the petrol vehicles. Dont take offense too it but i think both cars are trash quality. For the amount of money you pay for the vehicle I feel that you are getting an unfinished vehicle for what you are paying. Every other car company have this down, I feel for the prices you are talking about you could get a mercedes or Bmw or Audi and they have electric cars and you are gaureenteed a finished vehicle. Not to mention the service center experinces you will have with them much better than the Tesla. I think you did a great job and I enjoyed watching it but the more I watch the more I stay away from the brand. I don't think it is all worth the hype and drama getting into one of those cars.

    The battery pack of an EV is so heavy that it's equal to the weight of six adults that's before the real passengers sit in. The US government will "surprisingly" announce later the repair cost of roads and bridges have tripled because of the impact the millions of EVs have had on the infrastructure not to mention ecological disaster that is involved in making and dumping the EV batteries.
    FUN FACT:
    If we take curb weight to be 25% extra for Telsa Model S compared to Toyota Camry thats 550 kilograms or 1200 lb which is the weight of SIX Americans on diet 🤣🤣🤣

    These cars are extremely poorly put together, Tesla mass hires 150 plus people at a time because their turnover rate is so high, I personally worked at the Tesla factory, I’m not a bad person but have criminal history and not a single backround check was done pre employment and when I worked their I had 2 days of training and immediately put us on the assembly line from their, they will “teach you” as the cars go so you will have people that have never operated a car let alone build a car working on assembly, the treatment and quality of work at the factory is extremely poor and is a bout quantity with this company not quality, their has been many Tesla workers injured or experience unjust treatment, with a hostile work environment is the reason for a lot of these flaws, untill Tesla ramps up tesla production quality and give proper training and pay they’re cars will forever continue to decline and have issues, less then quality is passed thru all the time to meet quota for the day on the hopes you guys would accept the defects on delivery day, STOP ACCEPTING LEST THEN WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND THEY WILL STOP PAYING LESS TO HAVE THEM CONSTRUCTED after personally working at the factory I would never buy a Tesla
