A Glock 19X MOS with a threaded barrel goes for $689 at my local Academy Sports. The MR920 Elite is $989 at the same store. I can't justify the difference in cost.
The built in parts that you would have to upgrade for the G19
I hate the Glock grip angle. Ergonomics are important to me
I have both and I like my MR920 Elite better. Just feels better and is just as reliable as my G19.

I took a couple of dry fires on a Shadow Systems and was expecting a better trigher, but man was that thing gritty.

I just found out that apparently Polymer80 shut down operations. Which is sad. Giving people an affordable option in a Glock clone was nice. Luckily people like PSA, and various others, like this one, are availble too.
Well these actually cost more than glocks.
I have two identical carry guns set up the same way. One is a backup and usually has a laser dry-fire cartridge in the chamber ready to go for some dryfire practice. I swap them out occasionally when I want to do some work or try out some mods. Should one be seized I'm back in action as soon as I get home to my safe. I really should get a second identical holster for it because that would probably go with the gun. I do have a drawer full of holsters I don't like so much that I could fall back on for a few days.

I dry fired it at a shop and was dumbfounded by how horrible the trigger was. It sounded like a cartoon, the spring made a boy-ing noise. The clerk said it wasn't bad lol

Constant practice including dry firing. He competed in USPSA too. Learning to shoot on the move is a big thing everybody needs to learn.

I love glocks, but they've also never been known for their triggers.
I want the advanced innovative version that doesn't need cartridges chambered to fire.
Recoil would be smoother.

I dont believe i have ever even touched a glock before in my lifetime. I started with S&W then moved to FN and Springfield then got on a Canik kick for like last 10 years. Been loving my TP9SFX dont know if u have ever had the pleasure but its a great gun out the box. But also the S&W 2.0 ported and comped 10mm is a real nasty gun. Makes me get a shiver after clearing a mag in the 10 ring.
After watching H45 on his shooting range has made me realize I need to practice 😊
The trigger does break in very nicely after shooting a few hundred rounds. I've got around 850rnds through my mr920 elite. The biggest + over the glock besides ergonomics to me anyways is the optic mounting system that you can direct mount your optic to and still get a decent co witness with your irons. No plates to have to fool around with. If anything this would be better compared to the glock mos series. For me I love mine enough that I also bought the smaller cr920 which has been excellent for better concealment without printing. I like glocks but me and their ergonomics don't get along.
This needs to be higher. My mr920 combat trigger has broken in nicely. Takes Glock mags, Glock holsters, and gen 3 Glock parts. Feels great especially with the small grip strap. It gets rid of the hump for a “1911” angle (kind of bogus but feels great even with long ass hands). The ergonomics are great. The only malfunction I had was related to a pmag. Red dot mounting is probably the best out there.

Trigger is a common complaint with SS pistols. I'd probably get one if they straightened it out. Everything else looks great.
For years I toyed with the idea of putting a Ghost 3.5 lb connector in my Glock. I finally tried it & hated it. I had been shooting stock triggers so long. I put the factory set-up right back. No thanks.
An OEM Glock - connector is the way to go. I never understood why people waste money on aftermarket Glock parts with the exception of sights.
I know there are a lot of Glock haters out there. That being said, I love my Glocks because I shoot them all the time. I don’t shoot as well as Hickok, but heck, how many of us really do? My Glock 27 has over 16,000 rounds through it and never been cleaned. I’m just seeing how far it will go. Am I a Glock fan? No. I’m a man that shoots them and appreciates their solidness. Great guns. Are there better? Yeah. But I don’t own or shoot those.

Im not a hater just never touched one. To me id rather have a Canik but I've never had a glock to compare the 2. I just didnt want the same gun everyone else has in their box so i get oddballs. Like the whiteout TP9 or miami day and night the last 2 are more like works of art the guns i would actually use prob keep them unfired for the rest of my life anyway im sure someone wont care enough eventually but i do.
Hell my 1st pistol ever was a hipoint 45 and i shot no less then 20k rounds out of it over the years and only ever had it jam once cause i didnt want to send it away so i broke it down cleaned ran flawlessly for my concealed test the next day and until i started buying other pistols now its just a safe gun. But it still works like the day i nought it.

@@smokey3994 in what way? Have u shot both? Cause ive been told the glock trigger in comparison to the TP9 was like oatmeal against a full buffet. I mean its not like my triggertech diamonds in any way but for all the pistols i own beside the hammered revolvers with the action back i dont have a gun that compares to them. Springfield fn and S&W ruger and my very 1st pistol a hipoint 45 all of my pistols lack in the trigger department in comparison to that gun. I mean if u are gonna say glack triggers put them to shame ill have to check them out but short of those words being said to me ill prob not bother. But if u tell me how amazing their triggers are sure ill go see for myself but ive not even seen one in a display case that made me want to place it in my palm like when i looked and felt a canik in my hands. Im for real if u dont own a TP9SFX u should get u one and come back and let me know when it becomes your go to. Unless u replace all your glock triggers with aftermarket ones and basically build a completly different pistol then the stock glock u purchased i wouldnt use that as an arguement for glock. Id say thats a reason not to buy but i definitely have let everyone whos shot with me use itand a couple of them were glock owners and they went and purchased a TP9SFX after our range time together. Just saying go check it out if u never have and feel that trigger a couple times but i knew i was buying it once it touched my hands. My 1st one was the whiteout and ive bought 3 more signature series caniks since then that havent even been out the case but to look at.

I enjoy Hickcocks reviews, but he spends a good deal of time criticizing the Shadow Systems trigger, but he fails to mention whether or not the Shadow Systems triggers can be upgraded? After all, half the people that buy Glocks end up replacing the stock triggers. In fact, even Glock has come out with their own upgraded trigger to replace their substandard stock triggers.
I want at least one of every gun ever made, I only carry Glock 😉
I bought my forst Glock 2 years ago,waited until they got broke in for 40 years. I like shooting it and it's reliable and accurate. I dont think Id buy a Glock clone since I have a ton of other pistols I want.
If you love the Glocks im sure you're more prone to by a clone or maybe you dont want to spend the dollars on an original Glock so you go clone. It's a great hobby with so many different and so many the same. Enjoy!
I have bought, carry a few used, new/NIB type Glocks. I tote my used Glock 22 gen 4 or my new Glock gen 5 26 9x19mm. I have .357sig & 9mm converted barrels for the 22 gen 4. I had a screwed up carbon grey Cerakote Elite slide on the 22 gen 4. Both guns have Tango Down parts, LWA extractors, Glock Store guide rods, steel slide locks, Milspin back plates.
Three words. Attorneys on retainer. The only self defense attorney insurance I recommend and it's because they're not insurance. They will vigorously defend you regardless of plea deals, charges, what kind of weapon was used and no matter what jurisdiction you are in. Well worth it.

Shadow Systems is making some excellent guns! Another out fit making great glock clones is Live Free Armory an outfit out of Florida. I bought the Falcon 9XC recently as well as the Apollo 11. Great shooters right out of the box. The Falcon feels so much more solid in my hand than my Glocks, almost feels like a metal frame. All their firearms are reasonably priced too. Worth taking a look.

"Is This A Better Glock? "....that's actually pretty funny. Aat the risk(pleasure) of offending all the Glock fan-boys, almost every clone of the Glock has better features, i.e., is better. From changing the goofy Glock grip angle to accessories and mods that Glock should be putting on their pistols from the factory. Anytime you need to add to or modify a factory pistol to get what you wanted in the first place, it's lacking, therefore everything else offered that addresses those needs is better. They're like Ruger 10-22's, a very mediocre firearm from the factory that compels one to change immediately to attain the desired shootability. I love my 10-22, it's a far cry from the factory heavy-trigger, ammunition sensitive original, doubling in costs to get there. That's Glock in a nutshell. Sure, I'd take a Glock...as a gift (good trade material). Their reliability is they're greatest selling point, these days, that's a common attribute among a vast selection, so meh, pick something that has what you want/need at a significantly lower price.

There way over priced. You can get a CZ and M&P for one shadow systems firearms. Hell you can get 3 for the elite
The S&W 2.0 10 mm is crazy nasty with the ported comp. That thing shoots like butter. Puts my springfield xdm elite to shame.
The Glocks grip angle is absolutely horrible! And it comes with plastic sights! That's ok to a point they work great but I'd rather have a gun straight outta the box that works without having to spend massive amounts on just to use!

Never even had the desire to ask for them to pull one out to place it in my hands when looking for a new pistol purchase. I drop Agency Arms triggers in all my Glocks and it's perfection to me. This gun here looks cool but a bad trigger? A trigger worse then a stock Glock trigger? Thats a little strange to say the least.

Seems like it shouldn’t be too difficult to smooth out that trigger or someone will start making an aftermarket drop in.
@stevelacombe5291 it smooths out nicely after a few hundred rounds and or some dry fire. That being said for those who never give it a chance they do take aftermarket triggers made for the gen 4 glocks. Shadow systems makes some of their own as well since they made aftermarket glock parts before they made full guns.

If you want a Glock, just buy a Glock. The prices on Glock have been pretty good lately. I work at a gun store, and we have the 43x for 400 bucks, and the 19 for 450 bucks. We have had a lot of issues with customers and their Shadow Systems guns. Just buy a Glock if you want a Glock. Smith and Wesson, Sig, and Springfield are all in the same ballpark as far as price goes. If you want Glock, buy Glock, and stop messing with these clones.

Factory upgraded glock clones are nice. I don't know why there are so many stock glock fan boys.

All Glock style pistols have horrible triggers as they are designed for self defense not sport shooting. CZ, Canik, and SAR have figured out how to put great shooting triggers on their pistols.
