Hey guys, back with another Fallout 4 video and today I figured I'd go over the Top 10 Things to do in Fallout 4 when you get bored or after you have beaten the game. As always let me know what you think of this video!

A thing that I did while bored yesterday: I piled about 8 dead Raiders onto wrecked car and then set it off, sending the pile of bodies skyward. Sometimes, it's the little things that really make you smile. :)

When I'm bored in fallout I just run around and see what kind of trouble I get into
Emperor Palpatine do you think that in Fallout 5 they should make more improvements in the combat system? And make the story even longer more like 25 hours of gameplay and make the maps EVEN bigger that the Fallout 4 and make the power armor fusions core last up to 1 hour or 2 hours (and maybe add a bit more animations in the conversation)

I actually didn't know you could kill Preston and just assumed that the Minutemen was always available because you can lock yourself out of every other faction meaning you can't beat the game

I always retire my characters when I've had enough. I build them a suitable home, stock it with their favourite booze and drugs and hit the 'save and quit' button one last time. Depending on the style of character, they may be surrounded by turrets and robots, or have a sniper tower, or have a museum of fallen enemies, or be surrounded by whinging traders...
Then I make a new character who does everything differently. I have also added a few extra rules eg no stealth or pistols in power armour, fast travel only between towns and settlements, settlers must have a reasonable amount of ammo...
i dunno man, have you tried using the deliverer in power armor? looks pretty hilarious.

@@ThomasSquared the nude mod is impossible to go on creation club not without the game rating going to adults only. Conan exiles has a nude dlc only available in one country I believe & they couldn't release it for all countries because of how easily accessible the dlc could be for younger ages.

20. Commonwealth massacre
After beating the game TWICE. Once siding with the minutemen and the other with the institute. And After I beat the game the second time, I was bored. So I just decided To slaughter every man I saw. Cleared all the settlements that needed my help. Cleared out the major cities and vaults. And about halfway through the the extermination of the commonwealth. I was getting bored again. So I brought all of my companions who I knew were going to try and stop me from slaughtering the infestation that is the commonwealth. Granted. At the last word's of my former comrades did get me to tear up a bit.

And Then When I killed Preston. Heh heh heh... I smirked behind the screen and ate his ass. Cant remember the other companions final words, Or that they weren't words worth remembering but. Still. So that was it. Pretty mush everyone else was dead. Then I had to clear out far harbor and nuka world. Which was a bigger pain in my ass then killing off the commonwealth. (After I finished the story lines of course.) And thus everyone was dead... I then loaded an old save and lived peacefully for the rest of my days on spectacle island with the survivors of my companions in a kick-ass. I now watch the sun set on the water with my dog by my side. Every now and then I get plastic surgery and make myself look a bit older. Like I'm actually ageing. And as I watch the sun with dog meat by my side, I think. Should I go around again?

I thought you were just going to talk about doing a bunch of stupid (yet amusing) shit like dropping a quicksave and launching a mini-nuke at the ground after jumping and see how far you fly. Or save at the top of a high ledge and jump off of it, then quicksave midair. Or see what happens when you fuck with Swan at level 8 with an unmodified 10mm pistol.
I am currently playing in max-payne-mode, which means 1 luck, 1 endurance, no scoping/sniping, no power armor/mostly clothing, but on normal to high difficulty, survival mods are added, though. Bitter, sarcastic and pretty much drunk/high all the time.
I use mostly simple weapons and a few mods, like the jet-pack mod and pretend that i am a self-proclaimed superhero, who runs and jumps around, shooting raiders until he is close enough to beat them down with his gun, while being full of jet in the process. Lots of running, hiding, dodging and diving, but I love it, since you feel like a total bad-ass at the same time. xD
Especially the 1 luck thing is tough, since it makes landmines randomly explode in your inventory, especially cap-mines, which means instant-death, but I kinda like it.

#11- hunt the glowing sea with full unyielding armor sets combined with 75% or ur health compromised by rad damage. Bring your wounding shotguns(personal favorite), explosive miniguns,or any other op weapon in your arsenal; and head out into the true wasteland..
After grinding to those insane lvls he spoke about in the video, the glowing sea is no longer a challenge. I know where the loot chests are, as well as the deathclaw and radscorpion spawns (majority of my prey). Then on top of the xp gains and overall confidence, you can make thousands of caps from selling 50 cooked deathclaw.
~If you dont have those unyielding regular armor sets, just get some power armor and go ham in 3rd person with pain train 3.

There is a ton of stuff to do when you beat the game. Save your game when you see a behemoth. Then try to take him down bare fisted. Also, collect protectrons. When I find a protectron, I escort it back to sanctuary. It's harder than it seems because they want to fight everything. Trying to get it back to sanctuary is a challenge to get it there in one piece. I have about 30 of them back safely. I even escorted cappy from nukaworld back to sanctuary in one piece. This game is way more fun when you are not super strong or have great weapons. It's no fun when you are not afraid of anything in the game.
How do you escort them?? Hacking?
Yes, hack it and let the fun begin. I've created a small nuka world in sanctuary and escorted two nuka cola launching protectrons and NIRA back to it to reside at my nuka world.

When I'm bored.. I make a new character and design their fighting style to mimic another non fallout protagonist or a character from a show I like then accumulate the weapons that fit them best
Example: I made a blonde female named Samus, and had her use the laser musket to emulate her charge beam, and oddly enough, I *did* manage to obtain a "Freezing" Laser Musket which certainly helped with emulating the moment Samus Obtains the Ice Beam, and of course, I also got a rocket launcher so she could use Missiles
I have 287 hours in Fallout 4. I officially believe I have fully completed the game to its extent, and have no more enjoyment to be gotten out of it.
Which is why I'm replaying New Vegas for the thousandth time.

Dr Soupinstine i have over 190 hours in fonv, but while I have fallout 3, I have a glitch in it which means I can't enter fallout 3. so if I didn't have the glitch I would have over 300 hours in both.
Make a comic book shop! Get all comics and most magazines. Get all special weapons and armor and costumes.
Still playing in 2022, and still finding new ways to enjoy this game! Probably a mix between new playthroughs and settlement building. I really enjoy the gunplay in this game as well, I just wish it had more of new Vegas dialog choices.

It's a mod for the PC version of New Vegas which ports Fallout 3 into the game, so you begin in Vault 101 and then can play through both games. There are all kinds of rebalance mods for it as well, so you don't run out of things to do. It's the only way I play Fallout 3 anymore.

Automatron dlc: build robot, build another one, (little later) realize that you have filled your settlement with only robots, love it, go to the next settlement
I acctualy filled sanctuary with robots and companions, and 3 or 4 settlers (reached the 25 cap)

@@shimmentakezo1196 When i last played the robot could be build in a already full settelment effectively increasing its size. and 25 robots in general is a lot, especially for some of the smaller settelments.

One thing I started doing when I was running out of quests was to walk everywhere, and explore interesting areas on the map, like small ponds and stuff. I found Walden Pond that way, and discovered the crashed alien too. Downtown Boston has a lot of interesting spots too.
I like to roleplay as the final enclave troop. I ignore all storylines and play with my own objectives as an enclave.

There's mod that fix it. I don't even use power armor but I have the mods downloaded for when I get into a set to bring it to a settlement. I hated the colour and the hud. Now the hud is transparent and the gauges are white.

I'm about to try a new game with my character's special stats all at 1 point, and being unable to do or use something unless your stat level is high enough to start adding perk points to it (i.e can use a rifle until perception is level 2, or unable to build a settlement until Charisma is level 6).
This is the only good idea in the comments.

FIRST THE FIRST
Lazer rifles, power armor, and death claws.....the problem is, they give you this at the beginning of the game. Death claws are supposed to be scary, and you're supposed to want to avoid them at all cost.....power armor and lazer weapons are supposed to be rare, and hard to get. so it gives you the feeling that you've moved up. that you've accomplished something. the fact all of this is in the second mission, is what kind kills it a little

Luke Maragni Well if it's your first time playing you're going to most likely do whatever is pushed in your face first, and unfortunately that means you're more than likely to help out Preston. and if somebody playing, has played any other fallout game, then you would know that when a mission comes up saying "fire support" with a big dude in power armor it means brotherhood....which means cool shit lol.

For #2 one restriction I found to be interesting is a "no crafting rule"
Basically play the game as a character who doesn't know how to craft anything and that forces you to survive with what you can buy or find.
This type of build forces you to think differently because you might not have any of the good weapons and armor you usually have and also allows you to try out different perks since you obviously don't need to invest in any of the crafting perks like Gun Nut ect.
If you want to make things even more interesting, combine this playstyle with a rule of "no buying" too. With this rule perks like pickpocket may become more usefull.
i did that on a maximum pickpocketing /stealth build which was hilarious, taking power armor of BOS, etc

I just like to jump off the tallest building in power armor... Makes me feel like iron man
I personally hate VATS and chems and rarely use power armor (though I usually collect it) so it is very difficult to play the higher levels, but that does not bother me. I would like Survival mode if it was separate from difficulty as it would add a level of realism to the game. I do use mods, but mostly to make the game look better and does not break lore. I only use console commands when I get a glitched mission, which happens. I have done 7 playthroughs though. These are some things I did to keep it fresh.
1. Collect things like, comics, power armor, legendary items, unique outfits, followers, recipes... then create a massive collections room/museum to show off all the things you collected during the game.
2. Play through with a different faction in the main quest or a different ending for Far Harbor (as there are a lot of options there). Mix that with different specialties and you get a completely different feel to the playthrough
3. You could also try different followers... maybe try to unlock all the perks from them as some will create special missions of their own. You could try to do all the special sub plots out there and maybe get a settlement to 100 happiness. You could also travel around to make sure all the locations are unlocked on the maps as you might have missed something cool... even in the wasteland.

Well done, lots of great ideas. I would also add resuming a playthrough from an earlier save, i.e. before crucial story steering decisions, to experience the different endings.

in fallout4 i use mods with everything so to make its slightly harder i can only have 12 weapons and 1 grenade type because you can have 12 favorite weapons and 1 equiped grenade.and to make it feel more apocalyptic i can only use apocalyptic weapons like the pipe guns,the unlikely melee items like rolling pins and canes or the handmade weapons like the ripper,gamma gun and railway rifle
I did a single gun playthrough not too long ago. It was rough early on because of ammo. I choose the 10mm. Took forever to kill super mutants after my level got high enough to spawn in masters and such.
Things to do after playing fallout 4 1-10
Create your own fallout Script for a new plot. involve cooler factions. and wacky characters, make it more dead and hopeless looking. Have a more role-playing type of character. perhaps be able to choose a race between mutant cyborg, ghoul or human. Make it so that you don't always start off as a vault dweller so you can perfectly craft a character without too much background to force you in to being somebody you don't want to be, and make perks actually mean something, and bring skill points back, why did they take those away. that is essential damn it.

Emapex37 I'm thinking beyond new Vegas....as much as New Vegas was a good game, I'm thinking of something better. I have my own ideas, and you might not agree with everything I have in mind for a story, but I like it, and I think it would be pretty epic and well put. Of course I'm not done figuring out everything I want in the story but I've got a lot in mind.
Emapex37 For the race thing, I was thinking that if you wanted to be a ghoul or any other race, (I think super mutant is a little much so I wouldn't add that in) then every race has benefits. Being a human will give you a clean slate to work with, as a normal gameplay, you start out neutral with everyone. If you were to play as a ghoul however, you would have a set of benefits and drawbacks.
A ghoul can't take radiation, and they actually heal from it, this is a benefit.
A drawback would be that you would be unpopular with certain groups to start out playing.

If you're on console and want to cheat but have achievements on, you can use exploits, there are a lot of exploits that break the game and you can find a lot of exploit videos on youtube.
I've started roleplaying as characters from other franchises. Currently playing as Negan. You sort of come up with a backstory that is lore friendly and then apply the character's personality to your roleplay. My Negan character gives a lot of sarcastic answers, makes fun of people, and over time has gotten more raider-like. Yet he still has a soft spot for kids. This playthrough ends up with him as overboss conquering the commonwealth. Of course his primary weapon is Lucille, with another bat known as "The Iron" as his backup. It has a heated coil.
Might do a Walter White playthrough next. Be a drug dealing scientist that uses science as a weapon. Probably use power armor. Low strength and endurance. Mid charisma. High intelligence and luck. Decent agility and good perception. Definitely use chems.

You don't need the jet pack just turn collision off in console (TCL) and fly up there and if anyone else gets fed up with unlocking terminals then face the terminal enter console click on the terminal and type (unlock) enter, job done!

Playing Fallout 4 as a melee/explosives character on survival was a COMPLETELY different experience from my first two play-throughs.
One thing to do in Fallout 4 if you want to make the game more realistic, is not to fast travel anywhere other than the Institute. This game offers many stunning scenes and backgrounds especially if you're using mods, and because we get into the habit of fast traveling everywhere we miss out on taking all that beauty in

Re: difficulty
I am very much convinced that Very Hard should be the default for anyone who has some experience with Fallout games. It really is the only difficulty that provides some semblance of challenge for me, and it also made me a better player by forcing me to experiment and try things I wouldn't normally try.

A good example of lore on terminals is the terminal in the I think either first or second house in sanctuary hills. If you unlock it, it tells you info on someone who use to sell chems a long time ago as psycho was first starting as a chem.

Something maybe others have said, Jet is still lore wise a post-war creation, however the reason it's found in untouched pre-war locations is purely a game mechanic. The random loot tables with Jet on them are just a single random loot table for teach type of container. So, yea that 'chem cooler' in the untouched Vault is gonna have a chance to have Jet, cause it's not a "pre-war chem cooler"it's just a chem cooler.
I had hacked 90% of the robots in galactic zone to turn them off because I didn't want to kill them lol so when I got enough start cores, they all turned friendly when I turned them back on!
It was pretty difficult to do, though, especially against the protectron types with the blue sprays.

Apparently, Bethesda thinks that a Laser rifle is the same thing as a L pistol but with a bigger stock, while it was stated in the previous lore that they were two different weapons.
Beth is like Disney: they take a franchise they know nothing about and fuck their history and lore (don't make start with what the hell was the Enclave doing in Capital Wasteland).
