I would say get strong, learn how to make money by doing something useful to our society, socialize, get girls, make friends, learn charisma, help people, learn how to fight and learn how to shoot, destroy your opponents and make your last name important. @Denmosocial how you doing man? I love your videos.
Network security, or data science. Both are extremely in demand, both are location independent (important if you want freedom from your oppressive cold country and heavyset women). If these are too hard for your brain, you gotta be location dependent and do an excavator operator or crane operator course. Big money for short courses. Work pipeline or oil sands for $ until you want to settle down. I know permanently drunk newfies pulling down 250k a year by doing camp work in these jobs. You get to be in Mexico or Cuba on all your weeks off.
28 here, was a programmer, and loved school. But after 9 years of school I really hated the work field. I just started a new career with disabled people, 1 day school and 3 days working. I fucking love it. Never too late to change.
@@fern-cx3bf I don't hate programming, I like programming and the social part of school. However I didn't like working remote or in an office, I find it depressing. Now I am getting paid for banter and cracking jokes with disabled people. Sure I have to clean a little bit of shit and piss once in a while. But it is not much and you get used to it.
23, about to be 24. Freelancer Filmmaker. Man is tough. I started working when I was 18 years old, so I studied and worked at the same time. I have almost 6 years of experience under my belt and I still struggle to get jobs, but when I get them... oh man, I'm starting to have good positions and I earn quite well per day. Still, they aren't as often as I need them to be. I wish you luck random reader, please wish me some too.
Hey, 19, majoring in film. struggling knowing what I can/will do in a couple years. Will i make enough money, what kind of film i should do. idk what my point is but thinking of dropping out of college and pursuing the career on my own, put my college money into creating my own studio maybe.
Thanks for tour comment man, Im actually just recently turned 24 and have an interest in filmmaking aswell. Where did you start? What gave you that push to start working, what equipment did you buy?
I'm 25 listening to this as I operate heavy equipment in the middle of nowhere. It pays 55 per hour but I have to travel and work long hours. It's cool hanging with the boys but I don't want to be like the old guys out here. They're all divorced, pissed off, and addicted to cigarettes or coke.
Right it's easier said than done but we need to focus on our passion on the side with hopes in doing what we seriously love or invest into a big hustle you have
Dudee for real! I'm 25 and I worked in the paint & body industry for 7 years making 85k/year. I felt the same way. Most of the older guys there are absolutely miserable. I don't want that for myself, so I left, went back to school and I only make about 15k.year, but I'm way happier, and I work with engineers who look happy and healthy.
38 here, military, then at 29 chased money in real estate, did well, but hated it, I decided I wanted to start a business, so I started a business, then at 33 realized I was born to be an engineer, went to school part time until I could go full time, now I’m an engineer and the business is a side thing that is still going and I love what I do. All this while I was the sole provider for my wife and 2 kids. It’s possible, not easy but possible.
Sound good man, what was the point you decided on engineering? I am engineer right now but office is killing is my health, thinking about becoming a mechanic, but mechanic pay is kinda pathetic...
awesome man. im currently studying physics, but i know by now the science is not for my. i wanna become an engineer as well, hoping to get into an aerospace masters through a few internships after my bachelors degree
@mooseriderwpg9586 if you can, consider doing a mechanical/mechatronics masters instead with some aerospace courses and an aerospace project. I hear those fields are more versatile and sought after generally and in the aerospace industry, if your goal is going into industry for an aerospace company
21 now. Doing applied math. No one's gonna notice this comment but if I were to go back in time i would tell myself not to worry about what people think and participate in more activities. Don't be shy talking to girls. Don't use your phone too much and try to sleep as much as possible not worrying too much about what's gonna be next day. Workout a lot.
@bibiauto7311 gotta lock in if you do that in your Ealy 20s learn a trade or something you're interested in learn and be better every day. go above and beyond and look for opportunities for higher pay. by 30 your going to set good salary and seniority / experience by 40 your going to start establishing some kind of assets or wealth opportunities 50s financial freedom 60s wealth that's the idea right now at least.

Anything to get momentum building. Start working 40+ hours a week or studying 40+ hours a week and build momentum and find where you yourself want to be. Good luck brother!
42. I can't imagine what it's like to be a young man in this culture. We would hang out with our friends and do things. The most successful of us were those who just kept doing what they were doing. They would start businesses or get promoted slowly (often by job hopping) as the years went by. If you are young, find a job you don't absolutely despise, and when you get bored, just apply for a better position at another company doing the exact same thing. Don't spend money you don't have unless it will pay you back. Always put money in savings in small amounts, and invest in whatever you can afford to get into. All of this is timeless advice that "boomer wisdom" must have forgotten. And so, I am just passing down wisdom to my younger self. Good luck out there young James.
Im in my early 30' Im latino software engineer from south america and always when i watched some videos, people talk about invest. I know the translation for invest "inversión", but in practice how can i invest? Is buying something from internet, go to a business related to money, or to a bank, how is the process to invest? Thanks.
@@razorblade413 investment is like putting money in a bank that pays interest. The idea is to buy something like gold or silver or stocks that you believe will increase in value over time. It's also buying something that will make you money. Say for example you buy a case of water bottles for $4.50, there are 10 bottles in that case and you sell those bottles for $1 each. You have invested $4.50 for a profit of $5.50. this means you got a return on your investment. When you put money in savings, you often don't get any extra money, and will often lose the buying power of the money you put in due to the inflation of the money supply. Buying things is also a way to get around paying taxes on the profit made by a business. Raising taxes doesn't make money for the government, but instead is a cue to businesses to invest in tools to expand the business. You have to be very careful about how you do that because it becomes very easy to break the law and have your business shut down. This is why businesses have legal and accounting departments.
@@IndesirableShadow thanks man. But what does stocks mean? The translation says "mercancías" and that refers to material things like a chair a table a bed, but what people really mean by saying stock? Is like buying a house or a land? Because those are too expensive for regular people to just buy.
@@razorblade413 I think you are looking up the English definition of "Stocks" like items you would store goods or what you mentioned previously goods. But I assume English isn't your first language so a word can have multiple meanings. But tldr: You gotta search Stock economic definition rather than just stock definition. It's basically a portion of a company that you would own and you can own multiple copies of that stock since it's usually just a small fraction. They can add up to the expense of a house or a piece of land but usually not the case as stocks aren't generally that expensive for a singular amount. For instance Amazon has a stock value of x amount that would be it's price and if you were to purchase it you would own a small percent of the company. There's a lot more detail but just the brief skim of it.
42. I used to be a game developer and worked for some of the biggest studios out there. The game industry is no longer about art and storytelling; it's about manipulation and stealing money. Mobile games and social media applications are now created with a focus on tricking you into spending more money and time. I know this because it was my job to build these systems. My passion and love for this industry make it too painful to continue working in it, so I am currently transitioning into becoming an architectural designer.
This is industry wide. It's clear that indie games are where the money is moving to. It sounds like you have the passion, so maybe get some old coworkers together and make some shit. Just thinking out loud. Helldivers 2 was made by like 30 dudes. Lethal company was 1 guy.
systemic issues of our current economic structure makes this happen everywhere, but games/tech especially. which disenfranchised me from pursuing game dev for software engineering, and maybe I'll make a transition towards proper urban planning to fix our car-centric cities.

Man, I couldn't believe I watched all this 1 hour video. I'm 21 turning 22 in like 3 months. Life wasn't good, I wasted 3 years for my diploma, working for my sister's grocery shop with low pay. Rotting my life at home because i thought i was failing in life already. Losing every spark of light from the regrets and mistakes I've made throughout high school and choosing the bad choice even after that is killing me. The reality check from this video slapped my face so hard and opened something inside me. I just want to say thank you for this, yeah I think you're right shit takes time and a good reasonable look at a plan could make life straight.
I feel you. I’m 22 and I wasted so much time rotting because I felt like I had already failed, wishing I could go back in time to middle school/highschool to do things better
@Dullification sure, but first I'm gonna say. I'm not from the West or any 1st world country, so I'm not sure if you can get much from me if you're living in those countries. And apologise for my English But anyway, things that I regret in high school... 1. Not giving my energy to studying at all - the reason is that if my grades were good enough, I'd get to be placed in stem class. Stem class can lead me to more opportunities to pursue in uni. It's better to have a degree and major in stem than nothing at all 2. Not friends with a smart and ambitious student. For me, this type of person can help you open your eyes about your future and you can learn many things from them too. It sounds kind of personal tbh, but I don't mean you should stop being friends with anyone, just don't get attached too close to them. 3. Being frugal, and start saving even just a little bit. Doing this disciplined me to be restricted with my spending(I used to spend almost 200 bucks on mobile games) I think that all I can say and most other regrets are just too personal and family stuff. Tldr: just do well in high school, if you can, choose stem stream. You can still have some fun too, go out play games etc. Just don't forget to limit it. Find a good person to be friends with. Start being frugal and save some money if you can.. and don't forget to exercise and be positive to yourself and others. Tbh, if you have let's say normal family and you're aware of your life and future right now doesn't matter if you're in a bad or good state.. I think you're set to chase great things in life. It took me to get punched in the face first before realising what I was doing wrong. I also know some friends in high school and some of them today don't even know the responsibilities of turning into adults.
you might think you were rotting but working at a grocery store and grinding that diploma isnt so bad, you probably wanted more push but those time were not wasted. and working a customer service job builds character i guess
@huusepian thanks man. I wish I could keep this positive perspective at all times. But i can't develop real working skills here. It's just that.. I can choose a better option before and I've picked the wrong one and faced the consequences. I kinda hate to blame others who made me this way, but yeah I think it's still my fault I have become miserable.
When me and my friends started drinking it felt like 1 year into it and we were just social alcoholics, never hanged out with them without alcohol or drugs since then. At this day, I'd give up my loser life for sober friends but it is what it is

What is the course you are doing? I wanted to make games and went into a software development course at 18 just before covid but it was all coding which didn’t excite me idk if was the course or just not for me
@@kuwusa22 I've tried that method and everytime I try I literally have to look up a tutorial for everything like for example, I start with a tutorial on player movement but I have to look up another for camera movement and then another for scene transitions and it takes like a million years to get anything done, I even went through gdquest's coding basics application and it taught me a lot about coding but I don't know the components of my game engine so I don't know how to make things interact with one another or what exactly should I call to make something work (and even at that, when there is something I want to know, its written in the fanciest writing ever so its impossible to understand so im like forget it) and then I spend LITTERALLY hours working out just how to make a coin(image) bounce up and down, or not even at my laptop, sitting there with a FREAKIN PEN AND PAPER working out how does velocity or just physics in general work and to this day I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND how it works, so it seems like magic when every other programmer just puts movement into their game like "oh guys its so simple just do this" and then they proceed to drop Einstein levels of information and they can add any feature they want at any time they want and thats so freakin cool but I'm a perfectionist so I have to sit there and try to dissect how it works but it seems like I'm in a foreign country and literally nothing MAKES SENSE. I don't think anyone it gonna even read this but thats quite literally the problem I have with coding

I'm 27. At 19 I worked in retail thinking I could simply "work hard" to get somewhere in life. I was going to college at the same time where I got my associates degree in Public Safety. At 23 Realized no one gave a shit about associate degrees. Kept slaving away at retail company working holidays, overtime, while working every position in the store until they fired me using my absence due to heat stroke as an excuse. I went to unemployment office, they challenged it. Obviously I won. At 25 I saw they had a unemployment degree program where I could go to school while recieving unemployment. I saw Cybersecurity is in high demand and I like computers and security, so I dug in. Ran that unemployment until the time ran out and I went part-time at a bus garage to keep me afloat since they were paying really really well. Now here I sit at 27, I am one semester away from completing my Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity while working at a job I genuinley enjoy.
I'm 23, Russia. I've never written comments, but I decided to share it. I always wanted to make music, but there were doubts due to the fact that I understood that it was unlikely to bring me money and could not fully decide where to move anyway. I tried to explore new career paths, but realized that I couldn't force myself to do it just for the money. It's especially difficult to make music when such political cataclysms occur, I'm just scared for my life, but I realized that even in such an environment, all I have left is the hum of wires in the choruses of my songs, that's all I can do for this world. 27, made music my whole life, but find it hard to be consistent/ constantly doubting myself. Political turmoil and world events also have a huge impact on me. I never felt like someone who could just “push through” for themselves no matter what was going on around me. Still am trying to understand myself and what makes me feel fulfilled, but I do know at this point that I care more about what I can do for others than what I can do for myself. There’s a bit of relief in that. I do feel fulfilled in areas where I can serve others. I just want to amplify that service to its maximum potential.
31 here. Changed my career path at age 25 after working in landscaping for 4 years. Absolutely hated the job and lack of pay. Got burnt out and switched to cannabis industry as a processing laborer. After 4 years, It got mundane, and unfulfilling, and, It still did not pay very much. At age 29, I realized I was approaching my 30s, and that I needed a change. I am now an electrical apprentice working on wind turbines. All I can say, is that my work is alot more interesting, and intellectualy stimulating, and I actually make enough money to not scrape by now. I also get to travel all around Canada as well. All I can say is that if I pursued this career path much earlier, I would be a lot further ahead in life, and realized I was always more than capable of doing the job. Moral of the story is that you should be picking up good habits and discipline as early as possible in life. That you should not let limiting self beliefs dictate your career path, and do not take the instant gratification career path.

Some good advice that has helped me in hearing where God would wish me to be be or find my purpose, is that whilst doing something or, more likely, when making a decision, observe how you feel. Does getting up and going to a bagel restaurant make you feel light or heavy, filled or empty, with a shining light or is there shadow? Same with 3d printing. If light, filled, and shining inside, then stick with it. If not, then perhaps best to make a change. Ask and you will receive. I’m certain you already know this, but I always find it nice to hear, by God will not abandon you. Just take sometime to sit in silence and listen. Peace be with you brother!

20 years old man here. I moved continents, away from my family, to pursue a high paying engineering job in Europe. I went into a university known for being hard, thinking I could do it without any problems because I was so intelligent in high school. After a year of being here, there hasn't been a day where I've not regretted this decision. I'm away from my family, struggling to make friends, and feel as lonely as I've never felt in my life. I also feel afraid of doing something else instead of engineering because I feel that money is super important to have a good life, since the world is going crazy. I am about to change for my real passion, literature, and I do think I will make the jump despite not being able to gain that much money. I hope being in a less tough university (essentially having at least a free day a week) and studying something I live and die for is going to get me more motivated. I think finding a group of friends to do an activity with, like joining some sports club or a hiking group, can be so beneficial for my mental health. Having people to surround yourself with is super important, especially when you live alone.
Hey man, 25, studying computer engineering in europe. I think you have currently very black and white view on the things. I suggest you don't forfeit your engineering degree yet. Its almost summer break. Do a final push to finish the semester. Then clear your head, forget about engineering and join a literature club. Meet people, talk to girls, try new things. First see if you like it. If you need to, take lighter next semester, fail few courses - doesn't matter. But don't give up yet. I saw too many friends of mine to drop out of difficult universities to pursue passion/easier degree only to find it doesnt actually fulfill them as much as they thought. First try it, set aside the time, then make this decision.
I can relate. 21 now, studied engineering abroad in the hardest university of the country. 5 semesters in, but only passed 2 semesters. Studying engineering is already tough, but then the foreign environment and the pursuit of self-sufficiency made me a burnt out, lonely, miserable person. I used to love maths and physics, and I still admire those who do, but I just shudder thinking about systems of differential equations and the electromagnetic wave theory. Yeah, I just quit. Thinking to start anew in my homeland. Since highschool I always wanted to be an artist, but I thought I'd keep it as a hobby, naively expecting that I'd have time as a fricking electrical engineer. Now I'm planning to go for a marketing degree at an easy university, because the art schools suck here and I'd rather learn to promote myself and to sell my art. Sometimes you just need to ask certain questions to yourself to see how the current conditions affect your mental health. I for example was full on blaming myself for not succeeding in engineering (even though like half of the students of this wretched uni graduate in 6 years), and I isolated myself because of this shame. The gifted kid syndrome was a real pain. Even worse, I was about to continue even if it took me 5 more years, until my family finally talked me out of it.
Crazy how you consider yourself a 20 year old man. I'm just about to turn 20. I still feel like a kid. Maybe it's because Covid took off about 2 years of my social life, but I feel so inexperienced.
@@kabei8 experiences and trauma make you grow up. I have also felt like I was a kid, until I have lost both of my parents and was left with a little sister.
Hi, fellow engineering student from Europe. I get what you mean, personally I wanted to study History, its still my real passion, perhaps like yours in Literature. Wish you best of luck, as for me I will stick to engineering.
28, about to enter the real world for the first time after six years in the military and four in school. Still trying to figure out that balance of money and passion, but I'm anxious to really take the time to sit down and figure and plan it all out once I graduate. Sorry to hear about your mom, it sounds like she was a badass. Hope you're able to take some time for yourself. Great video as always, immensely helpful. You're the man🤘
25 in one month here, I'm working as an Office corodinator. it's the kind of office job that I was desperate to avoid in highschool. I'm trying to make video games as a living, been working on it for 7 years now in one way or another and I'm spending most of my free time working on starting up an indie studio in the next year. I'm tiered; but now is the time to work hard and get my life into the place I want to be in.
25, with a marketing degree, working full-time in security with no progression, part-time marking gig with little hours. I JUST stopped being paycheck to paycheck. I'm looking to change careers completely and get my life to how I want it. I just started realizing that I still have time. What you said about most men making it in their 30s/40s made it all sink in. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing more
Thank you Denmo. I always struggled with life since I was sexually assaulted at age 3. This event caused me to withdraw from society and only now at 22 I am starting to recover. I know it may sound stupid but your videos gave me a sense of clarity and while I still don’t know what I should do with my life I am starting to be more hopeful for the future.
Keep your mind on improving yourself, i believe you will achieve more than what you can see yourself doing. Believe it more in yourself, keep building.
Just turned 19. Got my GED at 16, and started working. I’m working as an internet technician atm for a local company. It’s the best money I’ve gotten and good hours but I want to do something different and make 10x more money
23 here. REALLY needed this 5 years ago. I have a bachelors degree in creative writing and a masters in video game design. Im in debt. I was told to follow my dreams and take out loans to get to a place where my job never felt like a job. My parents were always super supportive even though they didnt understand the games industry. Turns out i didnt know i was investing in a crumbling industry with the odds of getting a job similar to hitting the powerball. My portfolio is good, my resume is insane for my age, i edited every cover letter and resume, and reached out over linkedin for over a year straight without a single yes, except for scams, which you sinply have to develop a thick skin for. Time caught up. I have loans to pay back, so i can no longer be without a job to figure things out. Im too tired after a 7-4 to apply my ass off and not get reply emails, i just couldnt take it emotionally. Now i might have a unique opportunity to go to college again, but i am scared to make the same mistake. Im looking into some sort of engineering to have way better job security, but i hope i dont fuck up this time.
It'd be nice if you couldn't take out a loan that might damage your life in a meaningful, long-term way before you could legally drink alcohol, but that's just my take.
That’s really painful. My dad told me to do engineering if I wanted to go to college and that’s what I did. He always asked me what I was going to do with it.
Not to rub salt in the wound at all, but why didn't you ask these questions while young? I'm 21 and these were the questions I was asking before I went to college. I'm just curious how people spend 4 years of their life on something they didn't look into the prospects of -- everyone in the games industry will tell you straight up that it's a terrible field to work in.
@@gianni50725 Most 18 year olds are still lead by their parents, usually by overprotective ones. So going to college is just something that happens because of influence. However, a game design degree is definitely not the way to go
Bro you need to pay into meeting someone in the gaming community that can help place you at a job, just like Denmo said. Call a game company ask if you can buy the time of someone important to ask questions. If they won’t let you call a different place and pretend that you are a client/investor wanting to see if they would make your game, don’t stop following your dream before you have exhausted all options even if that means lying, the world is not honest and never be nice if it gets in the way of what you want.
18 years old right now, just about done with high school. my story isnt as insane as some of the other comments i see here but i do want to thank you for helping me clear my head and presenting me with options about a future im extremely uncertain about.
27 with an english degree graduated in 2020 working dead end retail job. Now, I am working towards a subbing job while i learn programming, hoping to shift fields. I discovered making hats and jewelry as a hobby and have gotten better at it to the point people are asking about when to sell them. So i have plans to make that a side business in the future. I don't know what's next. I have adhd so it kinda sucks to focus, but i don't like my current reality and want to change it.
this is the best advice i have in the reality. In social media or youtube, i hear people talk a lot about their success but they just never share how they do that or their background family. Yes, the reality always hit really bad out there, thanks for sharing the life path, men. I always love to talk to older people as i want to hear how their life turns out when they follow their path
I think a lot of the time it's simply explained by sheer luck. A lot of content creators seem to say "I was just making dumb videos in my bedroom at my parent's house and then here i am" So often times they don't know how they made it or can't give direct answers because of it not being entirely in their control. And there are content creators that honestly don't recommend getting into it because of how difficult it is requiring so many skills and taking so much time and luck before you have a chance to make it a source of income.
I’m 25 as of this writing, for me I’ve worked a lot of odd jobs that are low in pay, don’t require much skill or college education. I’ve been a car wash attendant, cashier, auto parts retailer, security guard for an amusement park, pizza delivery, cdl class A truck driver trash sorter for Waste Management. When I graduated high school in 2017 I didn’t have a direct path to college, the military, or any specific career path. There’s more to the story however, I would go back and join the military no later then 20, do some time, learn a skill, network etc. Now I’m working for Amazon as a delivery driver and I’ve got a plan, hang in there brethren!🙏🏾🙌🏾. I also remember growing up having interest in different things like weather, music etc. anyone else “career day” (Daddy’s tie is looking good)
17 in my senior year stressing about choosing a college and future career. Even though I'm not a guy, I really found this video relatable and inspiring; it makes me feel less anxious about the decisions I'll make for my future.
25 here. Personal trainer. Got a degree in the field straight out of highschool and been working since. Man the struggle is real working freelance. No days off, no benefits, no garuntee of any money… Just landed a Fulltime gig personal training with a decent salary. Going to try to use my time there to scale my passion project which is training programs for Brazilian jiujitsu athletes. Wish me luck
Honestly our government has no idea how people are suffering these days. I much feel sorry for the disabled and homeless people who don't get the help they deserve, Investing in alternate income streams should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.
Am looking for something to venture into on a short term basis, I really need to create an alternate source of income, what do you think I should be buying?
22 here and been working as a mortgage loan officer since I was 19 & I was supposed to go to college and become a nurse, due to COVID, I had more time to think what I wanted to do and what kind of life I want to live, and I have been very lucky to get the opportunity to do what I do. I enjoy what I do and I genuinely help people out! Loving what you do is important because it will help you pass the hard times I believe luck and the willingness to change a lot to factor into a man’s success.
25 year old here. Always wanted to start a youtube channel but I fucked off in my early 20s and got into a bad relationship (that was on me). Now, I'm making up for lost time. Take advantage of your youth. It will set you up for your future.
Trust me when I say 25 is still young in the greater context. But time does move quickly. Take your years prior as a learning experience. Keep moving in the direction you feel your inner self moving towards. You’ll be just fine, keep going.
I'm 19, started freelancing at 17. Made my first money, but the daily stress of finding clients was too much. I quit and tried different things, trading, thumbnail design, filmmaking, drawing. But nothing felt right. Then I found RUclips, and now I'm all in on content creation. This is my path, no turning back. Wish me luck, I'm putting in the work.
@councilofcanines3692 Thanks for noticing.. You’re right I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been working behind the scenes to make sure my next content truly reflects the quality I want to bring to my channel. Building something meaningful and also unique takes time but I’m committed to this path. Stay tuned 🎐
Your purpose and career choice should be inspired with no extrinsic motivation; I found my calling by understanding who I am, what products I want to make, how that product makes me feel, and how I know it will benefit other people. I found this purpose at 29, and am currently working towards it through schooling and making life adjustments.
I'm surprised your channel still doesn't have a million or more subscribers. The content you put out is pure gold, way better than the other channels just telling you to "git gud". You're making people think, and that's something special in itself.
I am 20 years old. I was 16 when I first started working landscaping with my dad( for free, I wanted to help him out). My first job was roofing when I was 17-18. Then I worked two sales jobs, and opened up two e-commerce businesses(both failed). So now, I make RUclips videos while simultaneously working. My plan is to escape my job with my content creation that I will monetize in the near future. Been feeling lost recently so Im watching this video.
Sorry to break it to you, but watched your YT channel and it clearly doesnt work out well. You doing videos for 1 year now, and you have ~350 subs and your videos dont have meaningful views on tham. You need to realize that your current chanel in current form would not bring you big success and money. Be realistic. I'm not telling you to abandon your dream, but rather take it seriously and realize, that with that concept of a channel you are not getting far. Come up with new idea for a chanel, new format - that's what i'm telling.
24, and a woman. I lost so many years trying to go after a high paying computer engineering degree that never panned out, and I feel like my options are limited because of the limits of my body. Im great at socializing and im currently holding down a retail job to keep my life structured, but I feel like all my passion died out after my first year in college.
28; got a degree in education and after teaching during COVID jumped ship to help my family’s businesses.. Hate it here. I get paid less than when I was teaching and feel next-to-no fulfillment, but I feel compelled to stay for as long as I need to so I can help how I can. Literally no sense of direction rn and worried for my future, especially as my only life goal is to be a good father and husband.
21, almost 22, I was spoiled by my parents all my life, they never let me feel the pressure of the real world out there, they always paid for every thing I needed, they just wanted to not make me struggle at all, but tbh I abused of these privileges and got lazy, never worked a day in my life, I just kept studying at a Business University which I am soon going to get out from, but I have no job experiences, my grades aren't exceptionally good either, because again I wasn't really dedicated and didn't really put that much effort, but I am finally realizing I cannot keep going this way and I came to the conclusion I really have to get my shit together. I don't really know what I want to do, but I think I would love working in some pharmaceutical company either as a manager or as a worker, Idk the field really inspires me, but I have no clue how to get in
Fire video. I’m 20 years old, passion is tournament bass fishing which unlike most other passions, doesn’t even pay well if you make it to the very pinnacle. I dropped out of college to create a business that could allow me to leverage my time and afford myself the time and money to chase this fishing dream. I’m currently working on a detailing business. The tension between allocating time and money into fishing vs time and money into the business is a huge ginormous stressor. It’s hard to imagine sacrificing 5 years to set myself up financially, (although that is a route I’ve considered) because I feel like I’d fall so far behind in the competitive fishing scene. I learned the perspective of the “developed country advantage”first hand when I traveled to the Philippines and holy shit. Doing something like that really makes your realize you have no excuses. To me, owning and running businesses is the best possible outcome I could think of, and I think I could get there if it was my sole focus. Just don’t know how to balance it with tournament fishing (yet) as both require massive time and capital investment.
Why not start a RUclips channel about fishing and these tournaments? U might start to make money as well as inspire others with your passion. I hope for your best.
23. dropped out of fully funded scholarship out of depression on covid 2021. started computer science but still feel so hard to learn and unmotivated and not discipline. my grades is so bad i might be start working too late at this current age. don't even know where to go or what future i will choose yet, i still feel like left behind a lot by my colleagues. I hope I have some energy and spark in life again to tackle my classes and life and be discipline.
Bro I’m 23 left my scholarship at 19 been barely sliding by school too. I feel the low motivation to but we don’t loose unless we quit. I have to change my internal talk, it’s a daily battle.
I hated civil engineering, took me until 25 years of age to finish the degree. You at least have to finish what you started mate, that will teach you strength even if it doesn’t teach you anything else. Get a bullshit job, work a few years and save all your fucking money. Then either invest it, find a new passion or travel. Just remember that if you travel, when you return home everything will increase in price by 3% (whatever the feds at making the inflation rate these days). It’s never too late.
20 years old in first year of university going for a bachelor's in finance. While I do feel like a career in the financial world will be fine and I have a pretty big interest in finances (kind of a hobby) I don't feel like doing this as a full time job is my destiny. I still feel like it isn't something I truly want to do for my entire life. I have other passions in life (history/war stuff/sports/statistics/journalism, astrophysics etc.) In some sense I feel like I still don't know what's my true potential in life. My problem is that if I do something I really like, I'm gonna grind it and have insane work ethic. However, if it's something that I hate, It's really hard for me to power through the work necessary. TLDR: I've got a plan but I'm still searching my true purpose

I wasn’t even going to click on this video but I did, and watched the whole thing lol. I’m usually skeptical of guys like this, but he kept it so real with no bullshit. To hear him out is the least I can do to help myself. I’m a 21 year old Soon to be senior in university (in the fall) for computer engineering. I was passionate at the beginning but as time passes I realize more and more that I would love to do whatever the fck I want and just enjoy life with my family and friends. I don’t want to be stuck in a stressful job working hours on end. This video more so solidified my idea of working as a computer engineer till I saved up enough and could do my passions. I don’t have my future fully planned out but all I know is that money is what will allow me to have it. I want my parents to be able to enjoy their final years stress free. I’ve seen the people who struggled their whole lives and it’s just fuccing sad. I hope one day I either figure it out or win the lottery but for now I’m gonna finish school, build my safety net and try.

Been doing it for 6 years and hate it lol. Most of my coworkers like it though. Just know that working a bunch of OT doesn't do much for you. I make maybe a few grand more than my coworkers who never worked OT and sacrificed my whole youth for that. Don't be like me
@@MrAeroWaffle hey man, I appreciate your comment and advice. I also used to do lots of overtime at my part time jobs, didn’t get me nothing except a few extra hundreds in cash. Same in compsci. I would be happier doing medicine but I can’t stand the uselessness of a biochem degree especially since I don’t have a 4.0. Gonna get the degree and work for a while saving some money before doing med school

25 in August. Right out of high school my entire friend group we were going to study engineering. I gave up because of laziness and fear of the hard course work. My friends stuck it out, they said it was the worst time. They graduated in 2022. Now they have great jobs that pay them well and they have money to pursue their hobbies. They like their jobs enough and say they don’t even use what they learned. Seeing them I realize that’s all I really want a job that pays me enough so I can live and follow my hobbies. I’m starting classes in September for electrical engineering.

i just turned 30 a few weeks ago and i do music, i'm a producer and engineer, if i had to opportunity to speak with my 18 yo self or 25 yo me, it would be so simple, Think about indispensability, think about industries that don't fail and one you can scale in, following your passion is not a choice however they never truly tell you the struggles you will face on the journey or even how to get out of it, My greatest advice would be have another skill or job that can make you real money and then you invest that into your passion or dreams, be your own investor or else you'll be depressed wondering if you should give up or if you made the right choice, it sucks but the love of it makes all that seem negative become more positive in time.
I'm 21. What you do, where you live and who you are with are the questions that we need to take time to answer. It takes years of experimentation and discovery. Most of life is searching, not doing. Take your time y'all.

@@razorblade413they probably mean invest in stocks, crypto, ETF, S&P but you gotta do your own research first
@@IndesirableShadow thanks man.
I'm currently trying to get into the industry lol ;-;

I’m the same age and had a similar path but doing Computer Science. What’s your linkedin?
Similar track for me. Trade then college. Barely graduated high school.
Keep crushing it.
People look up to you.
I feel you. I’m 22 and I wasted so much time rotting because I felt like I had already failed, wishing I could go back in time to middle school/highschool to do things better
relatable.
@Dullification sure, but first I'm gonna say. I'm not from the West or any 1st world country, so I'm not sure if you can get much from me if you're living in those countries. And apologise for my English
But anyway, things that I regret in high school...
1. Not giving my energy to studying at all - the reason is that if my grades were good enough, I'd get to be placed in stem class. Stem class can lead me to more opportunities to pursue in uni. It's better to have a degree and major in stem than nothing at all
Doing this disciplined me to be restricted with my spending(I used to spend almost 200 bucks on mobile games)
I think that all I can say and most other regrets are just too personal and family stuff.
"Think about your friends and how they might not even be your friends in five years time." So true
hurts but yeah, truth
I felt that
Felt that all the time.

@@Yyesterday Following a tutorial for your game engine of choice will help you learn the very basics, but getting more complex (which is not necessary to make a great game!) is something that I found only came with trial and error, googling solutions any time I got stuck etc. You can do it if you really put your mind to it!

Recently, I managed to find a balance between crappy jobs and time for my creativity. The media can no longer convince me that I need to buy some shit that I don't really need (tyler durden moment haha) , in this regard, I began to live within my means and this gives me the opportunity to focus in one point (in music) and I became a little happier.

Does getting up and going to a bagel restaurant make you feel light or heavy, filled or empty, with a shining light or is there shadow? Same with 3d printing. If light, filled, and shining inside, then stick with it. If not, then perhaps best to make a change. Ask and you will receive.

Best of luck to you brother, u can do it !
Let me know if you need any support. Would love to learn the process of creating a game

Turning 25 tomorrow. I quit my job. Starting fresh.
Keep your mind on improving yourself, i believe you will achieve more than what you can see yourself doing. Believe it more in yourself, keep building.
Thanks for all these advices Mr.Beast

LETTER 1
A lot of content creators seem to say "I was just making dumb videos in my bedroom at my parent's house and then here i am"
So often times they don't know how they made it or can't give direct answers because of it not being entirely in their control.

Sorry to break it to you, but watched your YT channel and it clearly doesnt work out well. You doing videos for 1 year now, and you have ~350 subs and your videos dont have meaningful views on tham. You need to realize that your current chanel in current form would not bring you big success and money. Be realistic.
I hope for your best.

i just turned 30 a few weeks ago and i do music, i'm a producer and engineer, if i had to opportunity to speak with my 18 yo self or 25 yo me, it would be so simple, Think about indispensability, think about industries that don't fail and one you can scale in, following your passion is not a choice however they never truly tell you the struggles you will face on the journey or even how to get out of it, My greatest advice would be have another skill or job that can make you real money and then you invest that into your passion or dreams, be your own investor or else you'll be depressed wondering if you should give up or if you made the right choice, it sucks but the love of it makes all that seem negative become more positive in time.
I'm 21. What you do, where you live and who you are with are the questions that we need to take time to answer. It takes years of experimentation and discovery. Most of life is searching, not doing. Take your time y'all.
Great content Jack. I'm 25, fortunate to have followed my passion in my early 20s but things didn't work out. Now finishing university and figuring out what to do next, so this came in great timing- thanks again.
