@@IceCoachOnline So you take this in perspective, I've been loving most of the videos from you guys, and this is the only one I've noticed it on. Also, thanks to another video, I think I've realized I'm putting too much effort into my 3-turns, and I'm really looking forward to getting back on the ice so I can test it. Is it really just staying balanced on one foot and turning your hips? I mean, I've been doing 3-turns for about a year, and sometimes they work better than others, but now that I've been doing a lot of off-ice work, I think that may be the totally-not-a-magic-trick bit that I've been missing. (There are examples of my skating progress on my channel.)
The video is great !!! I love the way he explain the exercise - finally I know what I did wrong and why I had so much troubles with stopping the rotation :-D
Thank you so much for thee tutorial:) i am having some trouble with axing to ump in the air because i am always forgetting to tighten up because it is hard. I would just like some advice on how to do it.
Did you watch our video covering improving the height of your spiral? There are great felixibilty exercises in that. Also, our turnout video can help a lot too. We will be making more in the future!
I just spend about 15 hours editing all of the single jumps off ice, plus toe loop combination and loop combination all off ice. I'll put them up on Patreon tomorrow morning and then they will make their way over to RUclips gradually from there!
Hello ! This video is great , but I am actually needing a more specific answer on My jumps ( just regular rotations ). I have been stuck on 1 (sometimes 1 1/4 ) an I really want to do more , do you have any specific advice I can use ?
It's just a lot of practice. You might wanna look into jump height and how tight you wrap your arms and legs when jumping. Core strength and staying controlled is vital. Also practice jumping in both directions, it helps with coordination. Another good exercise is to do skipping rope and practice single and double rotations with the rope. (or however it's called, I can't remember the exact term lol)
May I ask a quesiton? Do you need to pull your amrs right away into the right side air position or do the arms need to bring to the front before you pull in to the right side ? For doubles, Should we bring throw the arms as they should be squared in front of the body like in singles and then squzze in to the air position or go direcrly into the air position? Thank you!
I ten to wrap free leg during the jump, which causes me to lose balance and slow down the rotation. Do you know any exercises to help with this? To immediately get into the proper air position, instead of this wrap
Practicing "click" jumps will help. This is where you jump in the air and click your ankles together. Start by doing that with no rotation, then add it into a single rotation, then add it into a double. Only moving up in rotation as you've mastered the click jump.

As a 9 year old girl I improved a lot on my jumps

I keep falling to the side when I try this. Do you know what might be causing that? I do my best to keep my shoulder and hips parallel to the ground.

@@IceCoachOnline Thank you! But should I click ankles and land with them in this position, or just before landing get back my feet to parallel?
Can you make a video on exercises to help increase rotations? I've been stuck at 1 and sometimes 1.25 for a while now :/
Omg same i dunno but i feel for you because im struggling to get past 2 rotations
@@michaelart6288 how did you reach 2??
Bend you knees and use more arm power and maybe try to go in a “D” position and try do a max rotation ( as much as you can rotate )
If you're a clockwise skater, it's "right arm in front, left arm behind". Not everyone is a counter-clockwise jumper.
3:02 I think I have a bad rotation like that. Is there any exercise to fix it right?
Isn't it the kid who does backflips on the ice?
He can do Backflips on the ice. If you scroll to the beginning our Instagram page, you can can see Jono doing his Backflip in slow motion.

Nailed it 🔥
Not everyone can be a teacher or trainer ... you should teach to teacher
AWESOME! THANK YOU! YES, I'd like to see more videos about rotation exercises :)
We have a whole series of off ice jump coming soon. They'll be added to Patreon tomorrow and gradually released to RUclips!
