    This is really helpful. I’ve always wondered how skaters get from single to double rotations, physically speaking. Is it just conditioning your body to be strong/fast enough?

      Exactly. Of course everyone is different, for some people they will learn how to do it faster and for others it takes longer. Depends how well you body adapts and gets stronger/faster. You also have to be strong enough to hold the rotation.

    Hope you don't have downstairs neighbours hahahaha. Thanks for the video though! I've been looking for new ideas for my off ice warm up, and there are some new ones here. Are you able to do another video on how to improve double rotations. Mine are pretty wild lol. My off ice Axel is solid, but for some reason just jumping up and doing a double rotation is a struggle.

    I really want to learn figure skating. I finally get to where I can at least go to a rink once a month and a pandemic hits. The universe is against me!

    If i used a trampoline would that be helpful to get my rotations faster?

      No, because then you wouldn't get the right feeling as with your legs without it. Plus It wouldn't allow you to gain strength and make your jumps high.

    Cool Video:) but the first exercise is not called squats. Squats are much deeper (90 ° ) ;)
