Zlatan. There's Cruijff, there's Maradona, there's van Basten, there's Messi, there's Bergkamp, there's Zidane, there's Ronaldo, and then, after some time, THEN there is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. A true god of Football. A magician! No player ever mesmerized the public more than Zlatan. Such raw talent. Thank you for collecting these fantastic moments!
Used to believe this but not anymore. I would say its just his flair. I've seen Taekwondo olympians played football for a year or more now and they don't kick it like that. Good at volleys but their taekwondo habits made their kick look like they're trying to kick a person (Straight kick.) So I say its his flair instead. Idk his history. Probably learn football not by the books. These kind of guys will come up with weird shit. If Zlatan said it himself, I take back all I said.
@@AIIXIII0He grew up poor and played a lot of football as a kid (organized and non organized). His idol was R9 and he did everything to learn his skills. Taekwondo came later.
Its like he has said in interviews, If you think you will break a leg, you will break a leg that guy never doubted himself Zlatan has the most self confidence ive ever seen...He was amazing and will be missed.
I think that one goal against england is one of the best goals of all time. The level of ego it takes to even try that shot, no normal player would have done that. Everyone would have just stopped the ball, maybe a flank, probably just passing back to build up again. But not with Zlatan. I'll miss him, he was a very unique player.
The awereness of the pitch and players, the ball and the calculations and the ego to try it instead of trying to do a pass, THAT confidence is what made him Zlatan
My father had a pretty accurate description of Zlatan and the way how he scores: "I see ball, I kick ball, I score goal". Persnoally I believe that one of Zlatans main qualities is that he does not overcomplicate things. If there is a shot to take he will just take the shot. No matter how far away, how awkward the angle, how tricky the ball is coming in - just blast it towards the goal.
13:04 his skills in Taekwondo did help alot. He has a black belt in Taekwondo, so he knows exacly what a body can do. And thank You for Your Time to make this magnificent Video 👍
@NFL_SwedenI find the comparison to be a good one. Jordan has a certain status in US culture, Zlatan has a certain status in Sweden. Baseball and basketball stars are only born in USA, I am pretty sure. If a basketball player is performing very well in Russia today, I doubt Americans would be noticing unless they moved to USA and performed well there. If you actually put numbers on the physical/mental performance of the two athletes, I think you will have a hard time rating them both against each other correctly. I can't even begin to fathom how to construct such a system. Pick X different aspects, grade them on some arbitrary scale, then compile it all into a score? Z: 545621588,420 J: 545625896,69
I've been really enjoying your reactions to the football vids, it's refreshing to see someone experiencing some of these special talents greatest moments for the first time, whilst also understanding how incredible they are because you have experience in the game already. Hope you keep going with them!
Great reaction and thanks for sharing. He trains in different martial arts, which help you with balance, flexibility and timing. A good grounding in most martial arts will always improve athletics of all types. Training off the field always translates into improved play on the field. It really is that simple. I was taught Judo at a very young age, which is essentially balance, leverage, timing, locks, holds and throws. Imagine when I grew up got big and strong and started playing American Football how nice it was to understand the human bodies movements and how to manipulate them? Until I faced opponents who had my similar training in martial arts as well as my physical abilities it was just easy mode. Zlatan is a great example of not just skill, but dedication and training combining for a whole greater than their parts. :) Chris
I was a goalie and my martial arts training taught me to position, then center my balance then react to the body movement and then the actual shot. If you watch goalies and you wonder how come they can't get to a ball that was really close, if you watch the build up closely you will see the goalie does not have his feet set, he either has one or both of his feet in the air meaning once the shot happens he must take a half second to get his feet set to react to the direction of the ball. David De Gea is a great goalie, but, he bounces in anticipation and sometimes that means his feet are not on the ground when the shot comes and he cannot react instantly. Meaning he loses at least a third of the area he could normally cover to block a shot. All because one or two feet are off the ground making it impossible to save a shot not going in the direction you are already moving. If you watch Andre Onana, he is a good example of a goalie that centers himself, sets his feet and positions early so he can react to the shot. Finding your center, means when you start your movement left, right, up or down there is no delay, you are not repositioning, you are not shifting your body weight to take the first movement. For sports I learned this in a higher level volleyball course but it was a lesson I had learned earlier in martial arts I had forgotten and had not applied to being a goalie. Every split second you can use in sports to react is literally inches, feet and meters sometimes on the field. The difference between a save and a goal and usually a win or a loss all because of position and centering your balance and having both feet set on the ground so you can react in any direction. :) Chris
