Abby you seem awesome and you’re totally beautiful by the way. I was paralyzed at C-5 about 13 years ago in a car accident at 20 years old. Thanks for sharing what you have learned! It took me a long time to branch out into doing things like this and I’m glad I can learn from you as well.
and oh my goodness! Your drawings are absolutely fabulous! My mom is a painter, but I did not get that gene, I’m a singer :-)

If you haven't tried them yet, you should check out the Micron PN pens. They're the same archival ink and same 0.5 size (technically 0.45) as the Micron Pigma pen you showed, but the tips are plastic. Wish they'd existed when I was in college cause I crushed the tips on a small mountain of the regular Micron pens, especially the smaller the tip ones.

Love how you have figured out to hold the pen. I'm also a c5 Quadriplegic. I don't have contractures on my fingers-so it is difficult to hold. But I have figured out a way to hold a paintbrush and paint-it does not need much pressure. Not yet able to master writing with a pen.

Quality stuff, thanks for making this video! I don't have quadriplegia, but I do have a rare disorder that has progressively reduced how much I can use my hands before they become intolerably painful. I found your video while searching to see if there were any strategies that quadriplegics or other persons with disabilities affecting their ability to type might possibly use in order to organize or compose essays or letters, not making use of the hands. The only thing I could think of was maybe there's some clever mnemonic devices with a lot of practice I could use to keep it all in my head and not need to write it down, haha. But now, I do need to right on the computer quite a bit but my typing tolerance is only 10 minutes and then I need quite a bit of time between my next session. I do use Dragon Naturally Speaking and it is quite helpful. However, I still end up taking about 10 times as long to write something and edit it and format it to look professional then when I could tolerate typing for around an hour. If you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them, and if not, then let me just thank you again for this great video:-)

Great help. I’ve been using a rollerball mouse for 3-D modeling/art and want to move to a drawing tablet for more control. My right hand contraction is identical to yours so this very helpful. Thank you for making the video!
BTW...Thanks for not editing out the pen hitting the floor. REAL life’s a bitch! 😄👍

Hey your drawings are awesome 🤩 I want to draw but have a lot of trouble concentrating because I had an eating disorder for almost 10 years and now my brain worries about my weight all the time that I'm sat down because of my disability. If it's not too personal would you mind helping with how you maintain your weight? I don't really get hunger cues but also know I'll relapse if I don't eat
