I’m glad the video helps. It does take a bit of practice and I don’t know if your particular machine has a designated binding foot but check to see because the Brother does only if you buy the binding attachment. It helps tremendously because on the side of the foot is a flat guide to help keep the fabric from straying.

I am coverstitching stretch knit binding on knit jersey, and every time i try, the fabric gets bogged and stuck in the machine where the looper threads get all bunched up and it won't push the fabric through. Any tips on how to solve this issue?
Hi Jeanette, I bought one of these feet for my Janome coverpro just yesterday. I found it at my local sewing store for 11.95 Canadian. It is the Janome coverpro binder foot. I wonder if it would work on your brother machine.
Good for you for being able to find one for your machine! They are a game changer but unfortunately, it will not fit the Brother 2340. The feet for the Janome are centered whereas the Brother feet are offset to the left. Somethings should be universal.

A foot comes with the brother binder, it is a good thing to have. Brother will not and does not sell the foot separately. You have to buy the entire binder again to get a replacement foot and from what I understand, the binder is not over $100.00 so that’s an expensive foot. The binder with blue tape is a generic binder and will need to be taped down. This machine does not have the availability to screw a binder on it. The binder that is available thru Brother along with other attachments they offer, all snap into the channel on the door.
