I think it would be fun to hang out with you and learn things.
Great video! Also my results improved a lot when I changed out the thread to the needles. Nowadays I am only using high quality sewing machine thread like Gütermann for the needles. Less friction = less problems!
Thank you for this video. It helped me.
thank you for your amazing videos.this is helping me with my extend covermax machine big time thank you
Thank you for sharing :) . Would this work with soft fabric, like double gauze?
Lovely tips. Thank you for this video. I am just starting to learn about my combination machine’s binding features.
awesome video!
Thank you. I have and love your Coverstitch book.
Clicked immediately! I love your coverstitch focused videos❤ do you think the binder works with pieced together binding strips?
Do you have any advice about using the knit binder on a tulip style nursing top that will have two overlapping petals at the neckband? I love your videos and your books. They are such good resources for me. Thank you for all that you do.
Thank you for your tips!
very useful👌☺️
I just bought two different sizes of binding foot for my cover, and after the purchase, I noticed there are two types of cover binding foot: Type A and Type B. Do you know what the difference between them is? I haven't found any information about it.
I make my own binding..in any color I may need it..
when is neck binding sewn in when making a garment in a factory? is it when the loop is closed or when one shoulder and side seam are stil open? and after neck binding those two are sewn in?
when workign with a binder attachement, i mean..
Saben de cuanto es el ancho que se tiene que corta de la cinta
Brilliant, thank you 🤩
Would you suggest purchasing a coverstitch machine to someone using a binder foot solely for bias binding/trim on 4 way stretch? I currently own a sewing machine and baby lock but binding/adding trim takes a long time so I've been contemplating a coverstitch to speed and facilitate the process
Do you think adding some knit interfacing to the binding would help when using a less stable knit? My favorite thing to wear is rayon jersey, but it distorts pretty easily.
Can you do a step by step on how to do say a tank or tee shirt using binder on sleeves and neckline please? as I think steps are different.
1) Sew one shoulder only.
2) Bind the neckline.
3) Sew the other shoulder now.
4) Bind the sleeve openings.
5) Sew the sides.
6) Hem the bottom.
I use a industrial coverstitch for binding, how’s the best way to do an arm hole/ neck when it comes to finishing that part?
I have a question I can't seem to find the answer anywhere on RUclips. When I'm attaching a neck band with a coverstitch machine and a binder attachment, how do I make sure the binder has the right stretch? When I'm only using the serger I make sure the band is stretched, especially in curved places. But with a coverstitch machine I dont have a way of stretching the binder. Or do I? I'd be super grateful if you answer me... How do I make sure the neck band lies flat? Does a coverstitch automatically takes care of this problem?
Hi, I wanted to ask if you are using the Janome branded binding foot or a generic one? The Janome branded foot is very expensive so I’m hoping there is a generic one that would work. Any information is greatly appreciated.
I recently purchased the janome brand binding attachment along with some other Janome and Brother accessories from Sew Essentials in the UK for much much cheaper, and the shipping surprisingly was only $18. It took about two weeks to get here to the US.
I struggle with this - with lycra 😅 such a nightmare. What can I do?!
Where can I get the binding attachment?
eBay, Amazon, & AliExpress.
What is that double needle sewing machine called
A Coverstitch machine. A lot of brands have a version of it.
