i deliver reo to contruction sites, being houses or major factory sites. See you guys/gals out there and always wondered what you guys do. Dont know how or why this video came into my feed cause i never look into my type of work. Some what interesting the gadgets you use, getting into the warmer weather, keep an eye out for the snakes mate.
Hi. Thanks so much for watching and glad I could share the exciting work I do. Feel free to share and I look forward to making more videos soon! Stay tuned.
Really enjoy watching your videos. Brings back memories of my surveying years. Lots of high tech now, when I started in the seventies we were still using a steel band to measure and dug BIG holes to find GIP's. Computers were not a thing back then so I often found myself sitting under a tree doing manual calculations with my HP25C calculator!!
Thanks for your comment. Yes I can't imagine the surveying experience without the technology we have today! Although when I started in the 1990's my old boss still used a Wild T1 with geodometer on top and we occasionally used a steel chain. I still use a 41cx. Hi. Thanks for watching. Some times you wonder if you'll ever meet a random person in the bush but its never happened. I wear long pants and Scarpa Hiking Boots so have pretty good protection on my legs and feet. Sometimes wear gloves but not always.
Hi. Using a theodolite and steel band for measurement. No fancy measuring equipment back then and would have taken them a lot longer to do also. Thanks so much for watching!
How did they do it way back when ? They mapped the world using triangulation. Fascinating accounts of standing atop of Andes Peaks and survival in hellish conditions. I read that book when I was young and been very interested in cartography, surveying ever since. Well done all those quiet warriors helping to make our lives a little more manageable.
Are you a Surveyor, Surveying Student or someone thinking about Surveying? Or do you have question about Surveying? Leave me a comment!

Good Day Sir, will you hire a surveyor/engineer from overseas?
How did they survey those points 70 years ago? Be interesting to learn how they did it before gnss and rtk.
