Update on the manual marking situation: there is a way to do the manual marking in the slider itself, I believe you need to do a two button press together to enter quick start mode. Bless
I received mine a week or so ago and have done well over 100 shots with it and it is the Bomb. No need for an app like the original Nano that I have used for years. Thanks for the heads-up on the discount they gave it to me nice deal. I read some of the other comments saying you must use it with external USB PD power. I have only been using the Sony LPN battery and have had no problems using it with an RS3 Pro powers up perfectly and works all day. I did find that the RS3 was a bit slow at the end sometimes, so I set the gimble to Fast and that cured that problem. My footage is smooth as butter and would highly recommend this to anyone. The storage bag is much improved over the foam one that the original Nano came with. One other thing I found that if you want to clear all of the points just go to the first point and delete that one and all of the others delete as well.
i was wondering how good it is in remembering points (especially gimbal) if i want to shout multiple same waypoints (so i can swap filming objects in post). What if by accident i will touch gimbal in between shots? will it remember and correct position?
@@muntus Yes, the gimble will remember the positions even when you turn the power off and restart it. I have even put the gimbal away removing the Ronin and the next time I use it the point are still there, and it works just as it did when it was disabled. which length do you think is. better? price difference is almost nothing. Want to be portbale, to take on a plane and in the backpack, but also dont want to miss out on somehting because of the being to short:)
I totally agree, pet peeve of mine, too. I hate having to use my phone to control my gear. i.e. using your phone on DJI drone for your screen. Hopefully Ifootage will make this desired fix, especially if it's only necessary for one button, the manual mode.
was your camera stabilizer on? Ive been reading it should be turned off, asking cause footage seems too jittery. also I noticed for example on 00:38, when motion stops there is like some additional small motion that ruins the smoothness and its pretty distractive,
That’s odd about the manual control. The old one would go into that mode if you pressed both buttons at the same time (the power and fn buttons, quick press)… maybe try that? If you haven’t, that is.
Amazing!! I'm a little confused, can you help me? To combine the Slider Nano II with my RS4 Pro, GoPro Hero 13 and iPhone 15 and 16 what accessories do I need? Can you tell me the list of the accessories needed to get the most out of the slider?
The DJI Gimbal has those weak tolerances at the axis points,, the RS4 addressed that issue, also don’t have any camera stabilization on,, it tries to compensate the redirection at endpoints.
I have a sonyfx3 and i just ordered this…can u recommand a tripod to put this thing on 45 degrees..i like to mix up my shots so they dont all look like pan ing right left or zoom in and out id love to switch up the angles…does this also do loop mode? Does it loop? Thanks
Hi Zach, I also got a Ronin RS2, but I can't find the way to achieve what you did. My push mode is activated. Nothing happens. It's like they are not paired. Any help would be awesome. Thank you so much
A couple of things: they aren't shipping to US & not seeing Amazon link. 2nd, this is all great features incorporating the DJI RS but the footage still lot of micro-jitters. I tried this similar setup (minus the integration with app) & experienced the same thing, may be the lack of a lower center of gravity on gimbal.
The footage looked jerkey. Maybe filming something from a distance would work better? Thanks for the video, I'm sure it just takes time to work out all the details.
I'd have to examine the footage more closely but it seemed to me that the jerk occured only when the slider was initiating and ending its movement - which is probably the IBIS inside the FX30 counteracting the sudden motion.
@@marcin_piechocki yeah possibly the ibis but looks like the shake that cheap sliders cause. I was under the belief that the old one didn't shake so hopefully it is the ibis

Yes, that's right. That was the way on the first Gen, too. :)
With My nano slider 1, you press the power and function button together to get into manual marking mode.
The stuff you could do is insane. Clone shots with moving camera, timelapse, product videography, the possibilities are CRayzY

Manual mode: press the 2 buttons on the slider at the same time. Making the same video now. Its really an upgrade from the first version

It’s be great to see how fast it goes with the programming. This looks dope!

Can I use this upside down? (For Overhead Shots)
Seems affordable and reliable! Which Tripods or light stands would you recommend using with it?
What about the rsi follow focus? Can i use it as well and does it save focus distance as well?
Is it compatible with the regular DJI RS3 (not the RS3 Pro)?
Impressive
The DJI Gimbal has those weak tolerances at the axis points,, the RS4 addressed that issue, also don’t have any camera stabilization on,, it tries to compensate the redirection at endpoints.
What's the horizontal speed?
We appreciate you sharing this useful video; please let us know. How fast this slider to shoot slow-motion at 100 fps?
@0:17 Is push-pan/tilt on the gimbal not working? Looks like you're using the joystick.
it works

Bro I also hate using my phone. I pay big money for gear that’s supposed to be better than a smart phone. Touch screens in general drive me nuts.
compatible avec le RS2 PRO?
its shaking like crazy
I was wondering if anyone else noticed the shaking. Who wants a shaky slider?
can you set keyframes for a focus motor connected to the gimbal with the ifootage app?
can you use the ronin 4d? in terms of connection

I think it's because he linked the EU Site. You can go to the US site to get it.
what do you mean by similar setup? you mean this one?

@ that is possible as well yes, I just noticed some choppiness in during the movement as well likely do to frame rate.

@@jalensimmons2608 agree
Can it be powered by Vmount?
Yes, if you have a vmount that puts out at least 60 watts pd usb-c or a vmount power plate that also meets the 60 watt requirements for usb-c
@ perfect!
It looks really jittery.
It's 891 euros. That is extremely expensive for a simple slider.
