This new ECU would be an game changer for many turners. But this is the tip of the iceberg from what it can do, and for example, the video recorder capabilities and the hybridization and electrification functions can easily prepare old cars into the future.
It will be a game changer for sure. But probably not for tuners, most people who buy these high end ECUs are race teams that do their own tuning. As a tuner, I dont think you will see these as much as you think. But time will tell.
Kinda hope to see Cleetus use these on Eagle.

I like the touchscreen being able to be used instead of a laptop. Anyone who really drives their car will appreciate not having to have a laptop in the car all the time.

Since you can control the car settings from the laptop, is it possible to operate the electronic devices [fly-by-wire throttle and electronic steering] through the touchpad/keyboard of the laptop whenever you are in front of the car? 🤔
Bcs nowaday you need two people - one inside and one outside - to check if those components are working right.

Fueltech products are awesome, but they had been even cooler if they where open source.
The new 700 or 700plus have IP69 protection? I think its a fine dash to put on my bike.

Will there be a lite version? And are you able to add and create your own images, like Motecs dash creator, example to make, let's say an OEM gauge replication.
Hi! There will not be a lite version, but you will have the ability to customize your dashboard in numerous ways!
Will we still need a FTspark box to run boosted methanol combos or will the 700 have that capability built in?

Can I use my 550 harness on the 700?
We are currently developing a FT550 to FT700 adapter harness. It is also possible to pin the FT550 connector to a FT700 connector replacing just the main connectors housing, since the terminals are the same!

We have many customers who are always looking for used FT550's, FT600's etc. We have a tech group on Facebook where many people sell their old units, and buy the newer one!
Torque base tuning?
The FT700 has VE and injection pulse based tables so far, torque base tuning could be integrated in the future since the hardware will allow +10 years of software evolution.
will the 600 ever be app tunable?
Unfortunately not, since it is a completely different platform and it's not capable to support that.

You should edit the title because we were not "hands on" the 700 plus, just the same picture that you have been showing us for 2 years. I have been waiting on the 700 plus but I recently bought the FT600 during your last sale because I was tired of waiting. Of course you would release the 700 two months later.
calm down men is just pre sale, due to floods all the machines and products to produce the 700 were destroyed, and as if a hurricane had passed there in the US, and more than 1 million dollars in losses and several employees cannot work, and let's agree that an image produced in pc is very different from a video showing it and all its features
