This is EPIC. Geoff dropped a new one - Man of Constant Sorrow. It's good.
They out do themselves every time! I cannot stop watching this, it is amazing!! That first B0 Geoff hits lasts for 15 seconds!! Then Eli has become the Asgardian god of rock, Layne is a beatboxing god, Cesar has become a Berserker, and J None has shown us the rap indeed belongs in acapella! Great reaction!
Yeah, Geoff held down an unbelievable bass line in this one. As soon as I saw you were reacting to this I knew your "tickles" were going to be messed with...lol. Fun reaction Jen, well done.

Here in Britain we know about Vikings. Big part of our history. Many of our place names are still the names they gave places. Scotland, England and ireland were all invaded by Vikings from Scandinavia. Some places still use old Danish words as part of their dialect. On the other hand they weren't all warriors but went all over Europe as traders too. But as to this video - Brilliant in its intensity.

I knew you would love this. Geoff released a solo a few days ago for his version of "Man Of Constant Sorrow". He even wrote an extra bridge verse. I love VoicePlay and Home Free so much I got VoicePlay and Home Free tattoos. Also have Beatles, Prince, Queen and Elvis tattoos. I hope your surgery is successful.

The boats were probably there to pick them up. The sails mark them as Viking longboats. The gathering of the Great Army that invaded England (and led to the DaneLaw area being ruled by the Danes - until Cnut took the throne of England, being both King of Denmark and England) was done this way, warriors being collected from various places. And yes, I'm a Dane myself. It is a part of our history and heritage - but we are really just nice guys as long as you do as we say ;-)

Hey Jen just a litle history from a Danish dude living in north sweden and ofcurse patrion to your channel ...the shield maidens. Viking females were more fierce then the viking men so you can imagine if they were afraid of the men how the reacted to the women 😊
I am of part Swedish descent (I am from the U.S.), and was partially raised by my great-grandmother from Stockholm (she came to the U.S. in 1917), and she wasn't someone to piss off, lol.

Gavin Dunn (Miracle of Sound RUclips channel) is the guy who wrote 'Vahalla Calling' and has many, many songs that are inspired by games and movies. I haven't heard anywhere near all of them, but this is his best of what I've heard. You might want to check his trio version of this song. More traditional and very, very good in it's own right.
Just found the channel, and wanted to say hi. I recently celebrated multiples of years. I almost relapsed this past week from not having my anti-psycotic meds. I wanted to say thank you! You're videos got me through the worst of it. I got my injection, and feel way better now. I have Norseman blood flowing through me. Can't let a few bad moments beat me. Huh? Thank you again! Hi Jen! Knew you'd love this! In June I'll be sober 6 years. So glad I stopped. On another note, the Miracle of Sound version is more gritty and just sounds real Viking maybe due to rawness of it. Idk. I love it and Peyton Parrish. He does the authentic Viking throat singing. My throat hurts just hearing him! But Voiceplay are my guts and this is my favorite! I've watched several reactions to this and it's alot of fun. Your eyes get so big, What It Do Dave has a meltdown as well as Saucyhaving a mental breakdown and Oofy falls on the floor from shock! 😂😂 I love watching everybody have a come apart over this masterpiece. Miracle of Sound is amazing. He does original music and songs based off of video games. In this one the low booms are actually Layne and timed for when Geoff is singing ( mostly). If you like this one you might like Nord Mead, Sovengard Song, or Khajiit Like to Sneak. I love all the guys... They are each special in their own way and totally top tier. I can't help it though, there is just something about a really talented basso profundo. Geoff, Avi, Tim, Tomi P...

Miracle of Sound is the stage name of the writer and original performer of the song. I've seen many here recommending his duet with Peyton Parrish. Let me go further on that and suggest MoS's solo version, the duet featuring Payton, and the trio of Miracle of Sound featuring Peyton Parrish and Eric Hollaway. I immediately added all 4 versions to my "long ago and far away" playlist. There's at least 2 other versions out there of others adding their voices to the two- or three-man mix.

Historically speaking, numerous peoples did fight off the Vikings. You definitely should check Miracle of sounds original version or their a capella version (featuring Eric Holloway), it is so much more energetic and if that would not want you to be a "Schildmaid" goin into battle nothing does.
If you have not checked out the duo with Miracle of Sound (the one who wrote this song) Peyton Parrish, you should. I love VoicePlay, but that duet is the best IMO.
No -- the BEST recording is the one that is the trio with ThatBassVoice.
Literally, that bass voice is as wide and deep as a mountain.

You should give Miracle of Sound a listen. "The Tale of Cu CHulainn" is a great song & story.

Miracle of Sound is the one who first did this song. He has collabed with others. My preference is the trio version with Peyton Parrish and Eric Hollaway. There's a short clip floating around of a gal listening to the trio version where Eric's bass startled her. Miracle is really good at Viking music.

So is Valhalla the only ... you can only do this so much. It's every where. Vikings only had one chant or song calling.
There really are no Vikings! Viking is an action it is something you do it is a verb, not a people. They were Northmen, Norse, or Nordic.
This cover literally took all the impact of the song away. It was supposed to be sung by Skalds, norse "battle bards" which usually had powerful and thunderous voices, such as Peyton Parrish from the ft video. Making this with low pitched and weak voices is just sad, it's like watching a big and powerful warrior yell but the sound of a little girl coming out of him. Just sad.
Original sounds SO MUCH BETTER.....
