How did VoicePlay do on this one? My Thoughts...You'll See!!!
Thought it was amazing. That is one of my top 3 Metallica songs of all time!
Voiceplay knocked this rendition out of the proverbial ballpark. The arrangement is stellar.
What makes the original Metallica song so great is that, at its heart, it’s a very simple, straightforward song. They add complexity by adding layers of sound as it goes. Voiceplay is doing this to perfection and Violayne is hitting the peak. Geoff’s arrangement understands the heart of the song and does it the proper service it deserves.
Geoff is the mastermind behind this one. Geoff the bass man & Layne, Mr. VioLayne together ?...WOW. They make an awesome team. They ground the group.
This one has broken everyone who has watched this. Then vioLayne showed up and it broke us all over again. I cried with the original, and I cried with the cover. Amazing. Loved the reaction.
Jen, I watched this for two weeks on Patreon, several times a day. Since Friday, I have been watching reactors freak out. So much fun watching you, because you love the song and you love Voiceplay. Thanx!!

You know what would just put this over the top? If Metallica did a cold reaction to this. The love and respect these guys have for them and this song is just so clear. Whatever-you’re not the first reactor to wonder if the guys in Metallica have seen this-it would be great if they dropped a comment, at least.

Jen, your reactions are the best. Voiceplay breaks the internet, that is the truth on this one. Epic line in the song, Geoff: "our life is ours, we live it our way" just like Voiceplay and their creations.

Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play ❤️ Please please do a reaction video of Geoff's new solo cover... Till Then . It is slow, deep & smooth. It has a slow jazz feel played on the piano in a piano lounge setting. His wife Kathy is the one who slips him the note on the piano & leads him away at the end.
I second that. It isn't getting the attention it deserves. Probably because people don't know the song so the title doesn't attract attention.
It's obvious that they had massive respect for the original and just gave it an acappella twist, highlighting many of the critical parts from the original.

I completely agree this the best among the other videos they created and I'm a huge Metallica fan always have been. Another one that surprised me was a cover by Dan Vasc and violet orlandi singing kiss from a rose by seal. Amazing cover done by those two

Geoff was going to leave out that guitar solo because he hadn’t figured out a good way to do it. Layne sang it for him and they compromised on the violin. (It was a bit out of Layne’s singing range.)
