Zodiark was probably the most annoying one, I wiped at least 10 times until I beat him.

@@teufelsschnitzel8708 The best Zodiark strategy if you aren't stealing from him is to amass holy weapons, tank the first Darkja and then go all in on the damage output. If he puts his paling up, dispel his reflect and pop scathes until he dies.
In any other setting, Zodiark will pump Darkja out and just kill everybody.
Bubble + shell + protect + bravery + Faith + Haste = win 99% of esper fights hands down
Not for Ultima & Zodiark..
Theres many different strategies to make yourself OP in this game
Finding and fighting the espers was freaking amazing. Once you obtain them and actually use them...not so much 😆
Niho paloha and golden needle on yourself with summoned zodiark but also niho paloha and use that item that cures all negative status on enemies lol
Ultima it's also broken, shemhazai and zeromus can break the damage limit. In particular shamhazai have the most damaging attack in the original.
But that attack it's that powerful only on a ridiculus amount of usage of a certain item ( rust/rusty something I don't know the name in english) and it's borderline cheating.
What are your plugin settings on PCSX2? I always get weird glitches.
I miss when games had a guide that I would read to get shortcuts and overpowered items
I stumbled upon cuchulainn by accident. Hadn't saved in a minute either. I remember having such difficulty with that fight just due to constantly being sapped.

During the cuchulainn fight. I couldn't help but cringe at the megaelixer use. Lol I've been trained too hard to hoard them.
I used to be like you, finishing games without using a single one megaelixir, thinking it would become handy in a crucial moment xD
megaelixers are easily acquirable in this game
Addramelech will always be my personal favorite

and then you got that heartbeat rate so high because you were so busy checking the dungeon that you didnt save the game
Man I wish this game was easy as it looked for most of this video I could barely beat the Espers I have and this person got the toughest ones. Congrats to whoever made this video and if you have any tips I need them lol.

I'd say the best tip is to have bubble, protect and shield enabled on everyone and at least one character with berserker, haste and manamune as sword.
Keep one character at distance with a bow or gun equiped so he won't be hit by every single AOE spells.
If all your 3 members were to die, as soon as you swap with the other 3 you have to ressurect asap like I did at 36:30
Zodiark requires you to use reverse on all your team members as soon as you enter the boss fight because he will use his ultimate Darkja that can kill instantly everyone.

Thekickinyourface ty I am trying to get those abilities like the full resurrection and reverse, but bubble is hard to find and I progressed far enough to get it, I think. The weapons: I have most of the licenses for the strongest ones but I do not know how to get the actual weapons.

@@Thekickinyourface you're actually over leveled for espers like Zalera, Cuchulain and Adremelech. Not to mention you had already useful spells like Curaja and Arise, so it's actually not much difficult, it's quite easy. So agreeing by someone who's saying you're under leveled makes no sense, not to mention you had very decent equipment. I know this is an old comment, but let's be honest here, you said you want to make interesting but it was not.

Actually what the "fleeing" do?
When i was play it on ps2 it said for "run" but the run speed doesnt increase though
I still curious until today
It's been a long time I haven't played the game so I'm not 100% sure anymore, but if I remember correctly, "fleeing" causes you and your teammates to stop attacking and casting spells in order to run when there are monsters nearby. It does not increase running speed in any way.

A few of these were such a pain to get to show up if you didnt have the strategy guide. I remember it being such a pain to get to Exodus and dont even get me started on navigating the great crystal for Ultima

I feel your pain mate, my sister accidentaly turned off my playstation 2 while I was saving a 90% Final Fantasy 10 save.
Got a corrupted save file and I had to repeat all over again.

Games are games, just do it again. This time you will be more prepared and ready for whatever. Then at the end you just delete it and do it all over again.

I remember when I was a child and zalera appeared... Men I was so scared
Twelve was such a good instalment of the series, and fun to play due to the interactive battles. I reckon it was on par with seven, eight and nine, if not better if you try to void nostalgia from the equation. The fighting system really made it for me, and was probably the last of the series that was any good (excluding ten and eleven which were shite).

Ikr, I loved 12 back in 06 when everyone told me I had shit taste in games and that 12 was even worse than 10.

12 was great!i played since it was first released while at that time people hate this installment lol
12's good but definitely not for its combat, more so for its story and characters and I guess the world was alright. But in general the gameplay was basically stick berserk and haste on your dps and watch them wack that boss for hours.
Doesn't seen too interactive if you ask me.

Yeah I remember I did the easy ones early in the game to make it a little bit more interesting and harder, but Ultima and Zodiark were waayy too difficult, even max level with all items. :p
This game was fun at first ..tried it again recently it just had no where near the same effect on me 😕made me feel like I was lagging 😂

Yeah dude, totally worth it, it's amazing to see that square-enix used such detailled textures knowing they wouldn't use the full potential of the beauty of the game on playstation 2.

@@noctsickversus9632 Darkja's secondary effect is instant death with a high percentage so you can't actually block it, only hope it doesn't proc. It is also recommended to take off the mask for a long portion of the fight if you plan to slug it out since he uses Darkja more often if he knows you are immune to dark.

@@machdude3366 I basically blasted the freakin keychain with zodiac spear and like 2 ultima blades ( in vanilla version ps2)
i miss the old ffxii where any character could use any weapon without penalty but damn does zodiac age make these fights hell of a lot easier

what happens when the timer of zaleras fight reach cero?
Zalera must be defeated within 5 minutes or the party will be transported back to the Terminus 7 adjunct and will have to try again.

One shotting it's more like an omega / yazmath thing . Zodiark also.
@@Max-lm6pj Zalera can't one shot more than one party member at a time and is generally weaker based on the level combination. The hard part is finding the damage at his stage because it's tricky if you thought you could slug it out with him. The trick is realizing that Zalera is undead and Curaga is available at Bur Omisace which is around the time you would be returning to Barheim to explore (Cura is also fine if you want to do it earlier, but Curaga is much heftier).
maybe I'm a dumbass...but I didn't know you could use arise to bring players back that aren't on screen! Is this the regular ff12? I've never seen anyone else do this...ever!

There's a long ass side quest you gotta complete. And you also gotta beat 2 bosses within Nabudis before you fight Chaos. It's a bitch and a half trying to clear this side quest.
You have to complete the three medallions sidequest given in the deadlands

A good party can do a lot of damage to that keyholder, with the right equipment. Black masks aren't very useful againts darkaja but in base of your level you can even only use bubble belt

no.
You dont need all technicks and magicks, only useful equips, some itens, Bubble+Renew/curaja, dispel and a good strategy.
I don't want to say that child abuse is something good, but the one or another respect slap brought many generations of childs some manner.

I love the ps2 version, not the Internation zodiac job system version that was also on ps2...
Now on PC we have the Zodiac age, which in my honest opinion is so much easier than the ps2 version
it's kinda sad that japan would think we couldn't handle this game and idk why but on zodiac age the game feels so slow if your not using 2x speed, I think they slowed down the gameplay compared to the ps2 version, the running animation feels more like "Hey i wanna run but the devs cut my speed in half so it looks like i'm running but in all reality i'm walking"
In the original you can buy golden axes at nebra sud lol anyway in the zodiac age you can cast like 3 spells at the same time and that's the only pro for me but I only played the ps2 version basicaly but also helped someone to find the seitengrat in the zodiac age lol. I really don't know if vaan and the rest of the gang runs slower you should check it out for real

You can change that in the settings. He's using Wait mode in this video (which means time stops during command selection, allowing you to think before acting). Active mode makes you think on your feet because time is moving while you're picking commands.
