All lawn mower engines are interchangeable & the mounting points are standard on all of them.

yes it would!
I think the blade is still loose, you might want to hit it with the 1/2'' impact for at least 10 more seconds, LOL thanks for sharing #JDSliverDeck4Life
What model is that? I had a js46 and it had a newer style Briggs and Stratton and the crank shift bent. So I put a new quantum on it exactly like the one you have there. I also switched the plastic shroud to the John Deere cover
I know many years of training for the karate method to work properly, that was awesome.... LMAO, great video, I do that stuff for customers who are on a budget, I offer no warranty of course, but they send all their friends and that money in my pocket, and I have a sourse of engines for 5 bucks a piece, so I make good money doing it.

just lock washers on the engine mounting bolts
A grinder or a drill with a wire brush would of made the cleaning process a lot quicker?
Where is your gas shield?
I would have kept the john deere plastic cover shroud and put on the replacement engine
Yes! good idea
Not sure why you didnt go through trouble of taking the rust off all the way. Would have been exponentially more successful welding. Is even more important to have clean metal for ground on the welder to attach to. You'll find welds clean up if you take the extra 3 minutes to prep properly

Karate kick it to the dumpster .
And this I why I fix all my own stuff instead or taking it to someone that fixes like this.
It will work as long as I get paid and if it brakes down a month later she will bring it back and I'll make more money 💰. If you want it done right do it your self never take it to anyone unless you 100% know it's going to be done right.

Far gone it gets dangerous ,open your wallet get a new one .
Honda and briggs bolt patterns will not match up.
