- In this video, I take you through the steps of setting up a file that includes score lines. All of my designs are created in Adobe Illustrator, and then you are able to upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space. See what you need to do in order to prep your file before you send it to cut.

Thank you so very much for making this video! I have tried other svg files from different makers and let me just say they were NOT fun. Your files are awesome. Thank you for explaining in detail and making everything so clear! Very much appreciated! I was about to give up on making any type of detailed house until I found you! Thanks💜
Aww, you've made my day!! I am so glad that you found my designs, and that you've been able to make good use of them. 😊
you are the best.
This was a great help thanks
Thank you for answering my exact questions. :-)
I'm glad it was helpful!
that was very helpful!!
Thank you for this!!!
Thank you so much for showing and explaining more Kim depth. Love your projects
You are so welcome!
I never noticed the color showing up on the top menu when I chose a line to change. Thanks for the tip!
This video was very helpful, I also never noticed the color change. I have looked for the answer to this question, why aren’t the score lines already attached? I am just finishing your Bakery, beautiful work. Thank you
I'm so glad it was helpful for you! It's just the way Design space imports the line. I really with they were already attached-I've reached out to them before about it; but, so far, nothing has changed. Have fun with my bakery project!!
Thannks a lot! for making detailed video of the great projects.I loved them all. However, I am a new leaner for AI and would like to make my own projects with the papercut, so do you have any videos that can I find to learn as a detailed oriented as yours. and what platform do you use to create them? Thanks
Thank you for your kind words! I use Adobe Illustrator to create all of my designs. I do have a few videos on some basic tips for designing cut files if you'd like to check them out: ruclips.net/video/TtjosDM3_PQ/видео.html
@@DesignsByMissM Thanks for taking out your time to reply my question and I will definitely check out your videos for basic learning, since I am too new to the Illustrator.
I really appreciate your help! and keep up the great work! Its amazing...
Thanks for the tutorial. Do you know a way to change it on the phone app under android? Because I figured the problem by myself in the layers, but my choice seems limited to either throw away, copy or don't see the line. I cannot change the action to score.
The app is a little different for sure! With the shape selected, you'll need to scroll over to "layers." From there, you can select just the lines and click Edit>Operation>Score. I hope to make a tutorial featuring the mobile version soon!
@@DesignsByMissM This isn't right. Like I said, on an android phone, in layers, even if I select the right line, the only options available are a + to copy, an eye to make the line invisible or a trashcan to delete the layer. There is no edit button. Maybe the screen on an iPad shows something else, but I specified, it was from a phone. The screen doesn't show more than the list of layers and the 3 options I mentioned.
Thank-you for the video! It's so hard to find info on this kind of stuff for Cricut, I design for Silhouette in Illustrator so it's hurting my brain to switch to Cricut lol. Just a quick question, why can't you create the dashed-lines in illustrator? does it not import correctly? I do find it annoying that you have to group all the cutlines and everything else, it's extra setup work for users. I also wish Cricut would make it so you could embed images and allow to you export svg out of Cricut. Anyways, Cricut rant over, Love your designs and vids!!
I get it-it's a lot to wrap your brain around! Unfortunately there just isn't any way to program a line to import into Cricut as anything other than a cut line by default (at the moment). I also wish that it wasn't an extra step for users, as it can be quite time consuming to set up more complex designs! Maybe one day Cricut will recognize all of our wishes.
@@DesignsByMissM Thanks for the info! Yes, hopefully they make those upgrades to the software soon, one can only hope :P
why my cricut maker and dont enter in the right side when blade move
I can not get the score and cut lines to align properly. Any suggestions?
Hmm, it could be a couple of things. If you are uploading your own design, make sure that your score lines and the object you want them associated with are grouped together before saving/uploading your file. That is usually the main culprit if things aren't lining up the way they should. I've also had issues with Design Space in the past where there was a glitch in the system. I basically had to realign all my score lines by hand for a few weeks until there was an update that fixed that problem.
