Another great video! One thing everyone misses is that Twisted Metal Black Online is a very different game than Twisted Metal Black. I changed all the special weapons, vehicle handing, added new game modes and power relics. Some think it’s a better version of Black. Sadly it’s never ranked.
I think it's better than vanilla Black cuz it added to the formula established by TM 2 which the Vanilla version didn't. It's hard for me to go back to Black after playing 2012. That has the best Gameplay in the series for me besides the Online version of Black & Head On.
Twisted metal 4 was my second game but it's the twisted metal game I played the most, over 10 years of gameplay I never tire of this game, I'm glad someone else has love for it, those that gatekeep can eat it, whatever game you enjoy play it! We are a community and should act like a community, every game had their flaws wheather you like it or not, they all were fun as hell🖤🤙🏻 Great video my dude😁
Twisted Metal Head On was the first TM I ever played, so it'll always be my favorite. Plus, the PS2 version is loaded with bonus content that gives you everything you could want to know about TM up to that point.
2, 4, Black, and Head On will always be my favorite. Car Battler Joe is a good homage. I'm really partial to 4 because of Rob Zombie being playable, Sweet Tooth's minions made me think that they were trying to pull off a Juggalo theme (ICP was HUGE back then,) and it helped me calm down after driving home from work. It was my home remedy for road rage!
Ak those physics are awful. No powersliding around corners, get caught on every little edge, doing random wheelies, you can drive vertically straight up a building? What is that
TM2 should be S it’s my favourite game of all time! Here is my list. 1.TM2 2.TM4 3. TMSB 4. TM3 5. TM1 6. TMB 7. TMHO 8. TM2012 because there is hardly any single player.

Hoping that in a year or so you'll have a new TM game to rank. Really hoping the new TM on PS5 doesn't flop like 2012 did. 2012 wasn't a terrible game but you could tell it felt rushed, since all the dlc content was cancelled, and the lack of single player content left a lot of longtime fans, like myself, upset... especially since there were so few stories and individual drivers. I'm a little nervous as to how the PS5 version will turn out since none of the original devs are working on it. Hopefully Firesprite does a good job and maybe reaches out to the original devs, like Scott Campbell. I'm willing to give Firesprite a chance though, instead of just assuming the game will suck right off the bat. If they succeed we succeed and this series comes back again. One of the main devs working on the new TM made the Motorstorm games, which got good reviews, so I'm hoping this new TM comes out ok. Ideally, I'd like for the new TM to be similar to 1, 2, 3 (with better stories) and Head On, rather than 2012. Fingers crossed. Glad to see you and so many other channels keeping this series alive and discussing their takes on the franchise. I'd be curious to know what you'd like to see in the upcoming title. Also enjoyed the Small Brawl review with David Goodrich. Small Brawl may not be the best in the series but it's still decent and criminally underrated. I have played every Twisted Metal game except 3, 4 and Small Brawl, where I live we never got them. 1. Black (absolute gameplay masterpiece, everything that was clunky and annoying about 2 has been fixed. Fantastic level design and near perfect gameplay.) 2. 2012 (My favourite gaming soundtrack and amazing gameplay. The only thing that keeps it back from being as good as Black is how broken the sniper rifle and remote bomb is in the hands of the AI, especially on the hardest difficulty.) 3. Head On (Gameplay not as good as 2012 or Black, but I feel that it has some great underrated levels like Monaco and Russia. BTW I am only talking about the PSP version, the PS2 version also was never released here. What I have seen of it the PS2 messed up the soundtrack, made napalm stupidly overpowered and absolutely butchered the final boss.) 4. 2 (Extremely clunky and rough in some spots, but still fun. My main problem is the annoying freeze missile spam and how the physics can be quite janky.) 5. 1995 (The most primitive Twisted Metal game, lacks the depth of the latter games (No energy moves) and doesn't even have a Challenge mode. I will say, the game is still quite fun to me).
If you think about the first game's physics as arcade-oriented, then you might have a better time. Part of the joy of playing games (to me at least) is pretending certain console/PC exclusive titles are arcade games.
I agree man, but for me if I want it a twisted metal crave for the PS one that was made for the original Developers ( not counting small brawl for me which is a good game ) that I will go for rogue trip.

Head On is my 2nd favorite TM. I like that they added the Upgrades & Flak Attack to evolve the Gameplay. Some of mini games were ok too.

It is good to see someone appreciating TM3 and TM4 gameplay and physics, despite their flaws. They are the games I come back to the most these days.
I love getting stuck on the walls in TM4 usually you cant even blast yourself free with Dynamite
