I decided to re-make my previous Tier-List of the Twisted Metal: BLACK Characters because I felt that my previous list had become out of date with my current views on the game.

The great thing about TMB is that it's the only TM game I feel that there's no car I really dread playing. Sure, some are obviously better than others, but they are all fun to play. Every other TM I can think of at least 1 character that is just a slog.
Some wild takes here, I'm fascinated how different playstyles can result in completely different opinions. Right up until roadkill. Roadkill is King.

For roadkill to hodl his special you just have to hold all other trigger buttons. So hold special to charge and when you are ready to hold press the other 3 simultaneously without letting go of special.
Brimstone is the worst and I won't hear anything else

Darkside is the worst. Brimstone might be second worst.
I'm surprised you find the design of Roadkill to be the most generic, especially with presence of this Spectre.
Junkyard Dog may not be the flashiest vehicle in the pack, but he's here to do one thing. Get the job done. I'd say Junkyard Dog is the best beginner character to play (hence why he's highlighted first on the select screen). And yes, his special is basically a Gas Can, but it's a Gas Can that respawns over time, meaning you always have one on hand.
Twisted Metal Black might actually be the most balanced TM in the series. There really isn't a bad choice, it mainly depends on skill and play style.
Roadkill is easily my favorite character/vehicle in this game. Minion is too OP for me.
#5 Yellowjacket the most above average car in game. No strengths but no real weakness.
#4 Outlaw a decent special that tracks all on its own
#3 Roadkill another average car but his special puts him above Yellowjacket
#2 SweetTooth a slow heavy hitter that plays catchy jingles while fighting
#1 Crazy 8 I would never have put him here if I didn't know of the "special input"
Minion is easily #1 but is also a boss character.
Warthog gets an honorary place at #17

How to fix Junkyard Dog: if you get a direct hit, the fire doesn’t go out until the vehicle dies.

I agree with most of the ranking, Roadkill melted Warhawk with his special (I'm playing TMB until I unlock Minion), and Sweet Tooth can make and take so much damage, great video!

Crazy 8 should be higher than Roadkill. Seriously Crazy 8 can make short work on Warhawk with his special through a wall. And many other cars. Roadkill is good but it's special is not going to one hit kill anything.

@@VicariousNickk I know the tier list doesn't take into consideration of skilled players using the cars. Crazy 8's special is not difficult for someone that knows what their doing.

Decent list but I would put Darkside at the bottom since it’s almost impossible for me to get her special to do damage. Plus she is a weapon magnet.

Outlaw is the best especially playing one player.....you dont even have to aim the special just focus on Defense.
Man....makes me want to play again.
This has nothing to do with Twisted Metal, but if your doing retro games, Parasite Eve is a game very advamced for its time
Now for the Twisted comment, this list is honestly pretty accurate. Still love the piercing ability of Brimstones special. Catches people off guard online and is a real asset in offline. Along with his OP machinegun placement.

I personally think you were a bit too harsh with junkyard dog, not liking how the car handles is fair but I think his special is better than you let on and less difficult to use and slightly easier to get full potential damage than others on the bottom half but it is incredibly boring.
Your last comment is exactly why he's last on the list. I don't really believe TM Black as any true "bad" characters in the game. But I do feel some are boring or just not fun to play as and he's on the very bottom of that list for me
My least favorite is definitely darkside super sluggish and i absolutely hate the ramming special
