Thank you. I've had a feeling that "Spotlight" mode could hold target while moving. So I think I see it as spotlighting a stationary target while doing cinematic moves like boom lift and lower and/or dolly sideways even with a little yaw on the aircraft would look great on video.
Excellent explanation. I would like to see a second or so longer when showing the Intelligent Flight Mode menu while vocalizing said mode.

Good information, thanks! Is there a way to lock the camera during an active track doing an orbit? Either left to right panning, up and down or both.

3:21 is the best flight mode! I've been looking for this for so long haha.
Active Track -> Spotlight enables Mavic to keep camera focused something, even if that thing is you and you're moving, while enabling you to fly it all around. Awesome, smooth shots.
Yes, it's really cool. If combined with an ND filter to lower the shutter to 1/60 to 1/80 you can produce some pretty sweet footage.

Thank you. for that you need Point of Interest - with that you can set radius, height (>10m) and speed. Next weeks tutorial will be about that mode.

question about the backwards flying mode (flying in front of you in active mode); if you are walking towards the mavic and then decide to turn 90 degrees right and walk straight, what does the mavic do? does it pivot or does it do a profile mode now?

Thank you. It will likely stop, turn and start tracking you from behind. I have not found a way to make it stay fixed in front of me.
So does that mean it will start following you as well?
could a solution be, go to spotlight mode and fly the mavic in front of you at all times and track you (or ask someone else to fly it in front of you)?
Thank you! I think some would suggest that someone should be at the controller at all time. I've seen active track get people in trouble.
True, it could get you into trouble. Especayllt when the flight mode can be diabled as easilly as pressing the pause button on the remote.
okay, you got me as a subscriber. Now a quick question. I have heard that terrain follow does not work in active track in that the Drone will maintain the same altitude weather the subject it's tracking is going up or down hill. I have also heard that the train follow does work and active track and that the copter will automatically Ascend and descend to maintain altitude. Which way is it?

I can't seem to get the sub-menu to select spotlight? What would keep that menu from appearing?
I selected active track, identified a subject, which it traced fine, but with no success I haven't been able to get into any other option.
Also, do you have to be airborne before you select any intelligent flight modes?

I've seen a few videos which show ActiveTrack creating an image that makes you look like you're in a sphere. Hope you know what I mean and if so, have you made any videos with that sort of scene?

Nice video. I am looking for solution with active tracking. When I m running and I make quick turn to change direction, will the drone sometime loose loose track of me. Have you experience this issue? How do you fix the problem?
Yes, but I think this is a limitation of the machine. Some time is better than other.
