  • Colin Kaepernick had his workout on Saturday, but not the one the NFL had planned. He switched his workout location at the last minute from the Atlanta Falcons' training facility to a high school .From the 25 teams that were apparently scheduled to be at the training facility for the workout, about six teams were able to make it to the new location.
Sports Journalist Howard Bryant attended Kaepernick's workout in Atlanta and spoke with Roland Martin during Monday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about the controversy surrounding the free agent QB and the league.

I'm an Army SGT with over 15 years of service. We told him to kneel and Respectfully protest as we kneel for our fallen and pray for their families. Kap respected the country enough to take the suggestion of our Army Special Forces brothers and kneel instead of sitting.

@@constitutionalist79 moron what does it matter if he was a Sgt or SFC with 15 years of service. He is telling the truth which you don't want to hear. I'm a veteran as well and taking a knee is a sign of respect. If we (us vets) said it was okay then you have no say in the matter. People burn the flag, stomp the flag, fly the flag, and even kneeling is all protected under the 1st Amendment. People even wear the flag which is against the US flag code. The military goes against the code by having the flag displayed at NFL games. You have zero credibility to judge someone else.

The best conclusion I have heard regarding Kaep playing football. “Kaep wants to play but not on his hands and knees....” Definitely, based on historical precedence, the NFL had no intentions on helping bring Kaep back into the NFL. Wonderful breakdown of the relevance of the QB position as it relates to this back and forth between Kaep and NFL ownership. Roland, that was brilliant and it’s obvious you don’t work for ESPN, the NFL or Roc Nation. Steven A., eat your heart out.

This show today was EXCELLENT!! Thank you for the facts!!
This is why I’m still not supporting the NFL. They are racist opportunist and Stephen A. Smith at ESPN is a straight up rat 🐀

Arcus Puffious great idea! People who support Kap really need to start withdrawing their economic support for the NFL. That would be a true game changer.

It's funny how off the mark we've gotten with this entire Kaepernick saga. Did everyone forget what this was all about? Kaepernick was supposedly taking a knee as a form of protest against police brutality against black and brown people. Now, the entire thing has been twisted and perverted into a fight to get Kaepernick employed. It's gotten so disgusting, that you have otherwise logical and intelligent brothers and sisters contradicting themselves so flagrantly. If the NFL is so evil and racist, why does Kaepernick want to be a part of the league so bad? Why are people so hellbent to see Kaepernick on an NFL field again? At the end of the day, it's the same old bullshit. A lack of focus on the real issues at hand, the lack of discipline to avoid petty distractions like this, and a disgusting obsession with gaining acceptance and validation from white people.

I don't always agree with Roland but I completely agree with him on this one. Facts always reign supreme over assumptions.

Nobody is mentioning that He sued the NFL and they settled. His 25 million dollar Nike commercial that had nothing to do with black Ppl. We should be more supportive to the Black woman killed in her home while her nephew was there.

Thank you sir for giving us the raw true. This is real time proof of the wisdom in the Bible and a great lesson being shown to us by Almighty God!!!.... Matthew 6 : 24 " No One can serve two masters, for either he will hate one and love the other, or else. He will hold to the One, and dispise the other, Ye can not serve God and mammon. Also Matthew 16 :26 " For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? There is a price you must pay to stand for Truth in a world of Wickedness and requires the patience to suffer self denial. Our Great Brother must choose who he is going to serve!

Kaepernick won athletically/ physically... lost mentally! Yes NFL did him a great disservice and set him up to fail. After a successful workout, NFL were shaking in they boots until he opened his mouth and demanded for them to stop running and open the door. One thing black people do a little too much is play the care card. If Kaepernick would've passed the mental test after being done completely wrong, it would've placed great pressure on NFL to reopen the door. NOW... them white people will treat him like the Jehovah's witnesses!!!

Kudos to Kaepernick for standing his ground and not groveling at their feet , thirsty for a job . The brother has a strong constitution.

Thanks Roland for keeping it 💯. You broke it down all the way to the ground. He can't be a QB and be outspoken. You hit me with him saying Toby. Damn that was good.

It was the way Kap handled the situation that people are missing. The waiver, the media, and all the protesting is not the issue here. It’s the maturity of what you say as well as how you handle it.
