- Tony Hawk's Vert Alert from June 2023 saw Tony's epic vert ramp in the middle of the Delta Center! THVA 2023 may have had the biggest turnout for a women’s vert contest in…maybe ever? Check the best international Vert Women’s Finals with Arisa Trew, Asahi Kaihara, Reese Nelson, Bryce Wettstein, Juno Matsuoka, Raicca Ventura, Ruby Lilley, and Dora Varella. New this year was a partnership with the XGames where the top skaters from Vert Alert qualified for Summer X.

These gals are killing it, so much fun to watch. I enjoy watching the Women's vert over the men's.
Reese Nelson shows a lot of promise. Bryce Wettstein has quite the creative style. The smiles all around is what skateboarding is about!
These girls are on firrreee! Also my favorite thing about the skateboarding world is how even at competitions people are still friends first, competitors after. No one is complaining that Reese is throwing sick looking mctwists or body varial 5s. And no one complained that Bryce took 4 walls to set up for her first channel gap with 3 min left in the jam session. Skateboarding has the best community.

Been hitting the vert button since 89, but women have made watching it so much more interesting and fun to watch.
Actually Ruby is from Ocean City, Maryland. They have a skatepark with a nice size vert ramp.

Holy crapola!! I kinda expected to watch this for 5 mins and say "meh they suck" but they were fkn rippin!! I couldn't believe how young most of em were. And little Arisa was goin so fkn big. Was lovin her style and then they said she was an aussie and I loved her even more. C'mon aussie c'mon!! Bloody great skatin by all the young ladies. It's lookin like women vert has got a great future. 😲😲
The best thing about skating now is watching the progression of the skaters. I love learning new tricks, so I get stoked when I see others throw down some tricks I never thought of before. Nose grab body varial disaster? Fakie shuv rock and roll? Shuv it roast beef to fakie? Awesome creativity.
Reese Nelson asked me how to switch blunt when she was like 7 and then learned it that week.

I hate the commentators I hate the fact that they're not giving their full attention to what's happening on the you know the skating. They don't talk all this background garbage when the men are skating
