yeah just noticed that one day too while I was at the gym
The story behind it is so sad. I got to meet her when I was around 9 years old, because my dad is friends with her husband. She was the sweetest woman.
She passed away a few years ago. I’m so grateful for the music she left for us. She was truly a light in the world.
Wait your father was friends with phil-

It's like uncanny since the eyes scares me.
In the 1960s, Ronnie was a young woman in a music group called the Ronnettes. Her and the Ronnettes met a music producer named Phil Spector. They trusted him so he got them some fame. Phil has produced albums for The Beatles and those turned out pretty well, and so did the albums for The Ronnettes. During this time, Phil and Ronnie developed a relationship together and at first things were going great. But when Phil started producing bad album, after bad album, after bad album, he decided to retire. After his retirement, and The Ronnettes fading away, Phil got extremely depressed. He and Ronnie lived in a mansion together, and when Phil started getting depressed, he also got extremely controlling. He would have guard dogs outside of their mansion, and eventually confiscated her shoes so she couldn’t escape. But the thing is, during this time, they actually got married and adopted a son.
One Christmas morning, Phil thought it would be a good idea to gift Ronnie a pair of twins even though they already had an adopted son. Ronnie of course did not like the idea of the “ Christmas Kids “ ( hehe. Get it. That’s where Roar got the song title ) Apparently, according to Phil, the twins were supposed to be a way to fix their marriage. But of course, the twins didn’t work.
Phil also had a golden coffin with a glass lid and, he would threaten to display her corpse, if she ever tried to leave him.
And whenever she went out alone ( which was not that often ) she would have to drive with a live size doll, that looked exactly like Phil. Unfortunately, the children were not free from this torture either. They were locked in their rooms most of the time with buckets in the corners of their rooms used as toilets.
It’s now 1972, Ronnie has a small window to escape, and only a small window. With the help of her mother, Ronnie Spector successfully escaped that mansion of Hell.
She kept her last name as Spector to at least show a little respect for Phil for his work on getting the Ronnettes popular again for at least a little bit. After Ronnie escaped, Phil became even more depressed and more of a horrible person. And after she left, Ronnie was next to having nothing because she knew if she took anything from Phil, her life would be in jeopardy. After the divorce, Phil threatened to hire a hit man to find and hurt Ronnie or pull a gun to her head if she didn’t allow him to have full custody of their kids. Phil was so pathetic that he barred the Ronnettes from being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Even though he did do this, in 2007 The Ronnettes were added to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Eventually, The Ronnettes sued him for all that they were worth. Phil ended up having to pay Ronnie 1 million dollars after their trial.
By the way, Ronnie Spector should NOT be remembered for her unfortunate personal life, but her amazing music career. She was a rock icon and The Ronnettes were amazing too. She was a role model for young women in the 1960s and she should definitely not be remembered as “ Phil Spector's ex wife “
And may Ronnie Spector rest in peace.
( and btw, The Ronnettes music is really good too )
Thanks for the info bud

Roar is a Phoenix, Arizona, hard rock band formed by Owen Evans in the late 2000s. In 2016, Evans started moonlighting as the touring drummer for fellow Arizona-based folk-punk band AJJ, but he continued to release records as Roar. "Christmas Kids" is a track from Roar's 2010 debut EP, I Can't Handle Change.
The song is about producer Phil Spector's abusive relationship with his wife Ronnie Spector. Phil Spector was a music producer who was known for his innovative "Wall of Sound" production technique that was popular in the 1960s. He was married to Veronica "Ronnie" Bennett, who was the lead singer of the girl group, The Ronettes, between 1968 and 1974.
According to Ronnie, Phil Spector was controlling and jealous, and he would often physically and emotionally abuse her. She described incidents where he would pull her hair, hit her, and even threaten her with a gun. She also said he would isolate her from her friends and family and force her to stay at home and not work on music.
Appearing unsightly
With devils inside me
If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie
"Phil Spector was said to have hidden his wife Ronnie's shoes so that she couldn't run away," Evans detailed to The Phoenix New Times. "He was rumored to have threatened his wife with a glass casket he kept in the house, saying that he would display her corpse in it if she attempted to escape. Spector was simultaneously writing and producing trite, catchy, pop songs for teens."
The title refers to the twins Louis and Gary Spector that Phil reportedly coerced Ronnie into adopting one Christmas in an attempt to revive their marriage.
The Christmas kids were nothing but a gift
And love is a tower where all of us can live
Ronnie eventually filed for divorce from Phil Spector, citing irreconcilable differences. The singer later wrote in her 1990 memoir Be My Baby that she feared for her life during their marriage, and her mother helped her to escape from him. Louis and Gary Spector also accused their adopted father of engaging in likewise behavior towards them.
Roar released "Christmas Kids" as a single on March 14, 2010. It entered the UK singles chart for the first time in 2023, 13 years later, after it trended on TikTok.
"Or change ur name and change ur mind and leave this fcked up place behind, but ill know ill know, ill know ill know"
Ofc Phil always had a face like he was a criminal, abuser, and he didn't let Veronica break up with him because he said that if she did , he will kill her, and she is extremely gorgeous
After watching this, the song has a completely different feeling
"change ur name and change ur mind, and leave this messed up place behind, *but I'll know*" now this song gives me nostalgia for some reason.. Reminds me of being in my church on Christmas. Now the moral of the story is, "before you say you want to date somebody or marry somebody, think about how they will treat you".
The origin of this song is pretty much Hello Neighbor summarised without the weird magical shadowy man
whats the origin of Hello Neighbor?
@@DavidSuave6T9 basically the neighbor (I think his name is mr. peterson) has a wife and family, the wife died in a car accident and the son accidentally pushed the daughter off the roof to their death. But since the neighbor loves his kid so much he decided to keep him in his basement, locked up with barely any food or water, and this is until the second game where he NEARLY escapes….until some mystery man bonks the player. All of this is happening, meanwhile, we have our player, trying to break in, unaware of the son in the basement. That’s pretty much it if we forget the supernatural elements
if he loved him why didn't he feed him
@@DavidSuave6T9 that part I’m not sure, the games don’t really do that much of a good job explaining the story too much
