Since the laser is below the barrel it will be either too low very up close or too high from a distance. (there is some kind of fancy name for this but i cant recall "parrallax" or something??) Anyway I digress. .....I site mine in from a longer distance of about the length of one side of my house to the other (open floor plan) which is about 35 yards. Knowing that...if I site mine in for 35 yards just know that up close it is going to hit higher than the dot and at distances past 45 yards it is going to an a an inch or two higher than the dot for every 10 yards (I think i got that right). If you practice a lot you can compensate for this as well but for Gods sake don't site it in just a few inches from the gun. You want it to be on target at about the longest distance you can claim self defense from..so adjust it accordingly. The fastest way is just to put the dot exactly where the sites line up from your position of choice between 25 and 35 yards and then tweak it at the range.. I do a little bit longer...maybe the distance from the back of an average size movie theater to the stage just in case you are in a mass shooter Colorado type situation.... maybe 50 yards max. If it is shorter than 15 yards you should be able to hit without the laser easily which is why I site mine in to zero around 30 to 35 yards where you really might benefit from it should a worse case scenario arise (mass shooter). A short barrel gun can easily hit at those distances and having your laser zeroed at the distances beyond your skill but at which a worse case scenario might call for is the goal. Obviously a top mounted optic site eliminates this parallax issue..but at the cost of concealability and possibly reliability in some instances (plus you lose the light or have to run both which gets ridiculous). Plan accordingly for what ever distance your skills end but the gun capability may still exist is my advice.
Glad you sighed both videos. Got some Hyve Technologies stuff on my channel too just in case you want to buy some of their stuff. Also got a video of the TRL-6 in action too if you wanna see how the laser and light looks like.
Yo that's no cool man. Maybe you can contact Streamlight or something about it. All I know is that it's a very small Allen wrench. I have a Folding Hex Allen Wrench key set from Harbor Freight and the smallest one on there doesn't even fit (still to large). You might be able to pick up one at home depot/ace/local hardware store but that really sucks. Sorry I can't provide you with the information. Best thing is to take the small screw with you to the hardware store and size it to see if it fits.
Totally dig the light. The laser I can care less. It’s a little big a bulky but it doesn’t beat having that light. I’m running Veddar Holsters and I love them. Check out this link for my other video. ruclips.net/video/LadFOHblJwQ/видео.html
NDZ Performance Grips. Highly highly highly recommend and I totally dig them even over the Hyve +2 mag. Super comfortable. Tried the Olight and rail adapter combo, it sucked. Ergos were off atleast for me, and not into having to charge the light with the magnet, meaning my gun has to be out unless i want to take the light off. I like the TLR 6 more, but its definitely not as bright but more convenient.
I assume you are referring to the NDZ Performance and not the Hyve. I totally love my NDZ grips over the Hyve. Check out their website (ndzperformance.com). If so, check out my video here on the NDZ grips I made half a decade ago here ruclips.net/video/xZzRm8OWShI/видео.htmlsi=mrLttA6nkP7Gqrfi

@@short21yang correct me if I’m wrong. Where the tlr6 mounts, it seems that my rail is too short and it doesn’t sit flush. Could I have bought the wrong one?
@@Temp1366 not 100% sure but that can be possible. I did this video in a single take so mines fit on flush even still till this day. My trigger guard are mounts on perfectly too so maybe you just got a lemon. My set up with the light is 100% flush so I didn’t experience any issues. Maybe tou can try to follow my vid step by step and compare the light and my rails against yours to see if they sit similarly.
@@short21yang I figured out the problem. My gun doesn’t have a rail. The TLR-6 I bought was for railed guns. My mistake. Returned it and got the correct one.
It’s nice but a little bulky. I use a Vedder Holster for it and compared to my non TRL6 Vedder holster, it’s a big difference. If I could, I would opt out of the laser and do just the light. I don’t have a use for the laser but 100 lumen light is bright when you have zero light. That being said, 100 lumen isn’t the brightest but it’ll get the job done. So I would recommend it. Do check out my holster videos is you want to see the difference in size (bulk). ruclips.net/video/eN75vyO61-Q/видео.html and here ruclips.net/video/LadFOHblJwQ/видео.html

For my particular model, it’s the light and laser combo. You cannot take it apart so that’s the bad part. But I’m sure they sell just the light by itself. If I can go back, I would skip on the laser myself. I don’t care for the laser and it’ll help shed off some space that’s forsure.
I'm assuming you meant to say "What Holster you run with this setup?", if so then this is the holster I have (Vedder Holster). Check out the video here ruclips.net/video/LadFOHblJwQ/видео.html and the links are in the description too
I use Vedder Holsters for my gun. On my gun, the holster did not fit well because I did a aftermarket install of my mag release button so I had to slightly mod the holster. With the TRL-6 addition, the holster is slightly larger and bulky. Other than that, if it had been OEM/not changed, it would have worked perfectly. I know there are lots of holsters out there but I highly recommend Vedder. You can see the videos here. ruclips.net/video/LadFOHblJwQ/видео.html & ruclips.net/video/eN75vyO61-Q/видео.html
The red lettering is just red nail polish and the red mags are either NDZ or Hyve. Check out my other videos I have an install of both. All the info is also in the links under description ruclips.net/video/hwaWsFepMdk/видео.html
I'm sure any type works as long as it's compatible with the addition of the TRL-6 but I personally run x2 different Vedder Holsters (check out that video here ruclips.net/video/LadFOHblJwQ/видео.html). I have a holster with the light (the video URL above) and one without (in carbon fiber color). If you do decide to run with Vedder Holsters too, they always have 10% codes so sign up on their site to get that 10% off. I have yet to be disappointed by either holsters they've held up very well.
