I've taken cuttings for Hydrangea and White Buddleia which are now on my channel header. Also took cuttings for Spirea, Lavender and Hebe successfully. Happy Growing :)

I’ve seen mature bb pruning videos and I have the info from the PW website, but this gave me the confidence to tackle the Miss Violet I planted last spring. Thanks Jenny! Now, about my young Purple Pearls and caryopteris….😉
You sure can! Butterfly bushes bloom on new growth so as long as they have time to grow new blooms they will just keep putting them on. I love the blooms in a mixed flower arrangement!

I have 2 hydrangeas which have never bloomed for the past 3 years I've had them. They're about to be destroyed due to my frustration. Why won't they bloom?
Year 1 to year 2, I lost very little of my butterfly bush. Year 2 to 3, the whole bush seems to have died back. I'm getting a little growth at the base. But it's slow. Will it survive the summer? May have been some mole damage near the roots. Is it normal for it to die to the base?
Ours did the exact same thing this year due to having multiple weeks of warm temps in February and then we suddenly had a 19 degree night. All of the new growth was killed and it has come back nicely from all new growth. Just give it some time!
@@GardeningwithCreekside down to 2 or 3 feet. There is a reason they are considered a bad weed in Oregon. I limbed it up as a tree this year since I planted it thinking it would be 4 or 5 feet tall.

What do you do with them after they bloom. Can you cut the tops off and get new growth and more blooms ???
