Jenny, I just love your happy dog. He is so funny collecting the plastic pots! I live in Highlands NC, so our trees and plants are just now coming out. Thank you for the hint of planting your hanging baskets in the yard. We have a lot of shade, but I think I have some places in my garden that will make everything pop if I use some baskets instead of just small plants. Great idea!

Your backyard is on its way to becoming utterly gorgeous. But I do see a nice rectangular inground pool at the far back right side. Calming and soothing would be the view and senses. I've been using hanging baskets in the landscape for decades and really appreciate the 'bang for your buck' when you are able to 'split' the basket contents into multiple plants allowing for it to go further which is especially enjoyable now with the price of plants having exponentially increased over the last few years.

That feeling that you know intuitively something big is about to happen, you’re right.
Something big is coming, but if you’re paying attention you can escape every bit of it.
I’m not going to go into detail here, but if you’ll just RUclips “Rapture on May 15, 2022” or “Rapture on second Passover 2022”, you’ll be surprised at how many videos you find.

Good to know because my wife didn't want to splurge on it because it costs so much more than miracle grow water soluble but if it's worth the money..we will go for it. Thanks for the info...question also ...anyone else experience the loss of their bubblegum supertunias...ours died out around mid July...we planted them late May. They did wonderful up to that point. Could have been the neighbors cat messing with them though...

@@calvinwhitley5081 I did try bubblegum in the landscape a couple of years ago but I wasn’t as experience as I am now to make them grow to their full glorious selfs! 🥴. I did use the PW dry fertilizer but not the water soluble one. Plus with trying to fight the deers to not eat them (my major pain) I found better success planting in containers. At least most animal life stay off my deck and porch! 🙃 By the way, if your wife uses the PW dry fertilizer (once when she plants and then again in late summer) she can use the water fertilizer every two weeks instead of weekly to save on costs. Hopefully it’s helps! I’ll be on a planting mission now that the frost is just about over for me in NE Ohio! 😁👏🏻

I’ve seen people sink pots in the ground and leave them there year after year, filling them each year with a hanging basket. The drip is already set up to the pot so all they have to do is transfer the hanging basket into the pot that’s already in the ground, no messing up the mulch.🌷💚🙃

I’m curious about this, as a new gardener. Do they put plastic pot inside slightly larger plastic pot or do they take the flowers out of the one pot and put it in the in-ground pot? And does this allow the plant to spread or do they become root-bound?

I love when you share such practical ideas! Love it! I was inspired by your wheelbarrow and so I did a knock off 😜--bought a little green children's wheelbarrow and planted a PW hanging basket plus a couple of smaller plants around it. It looks great! Glad to know I'm doing something right! 😉I'm not too far away gardening in zone 7 in Nashville. If I'm ever in your area, I'm heading to your garden center!

Different subject.... my Lady Banks rose is on a brick wall with a beautiful trellis. It has afternoon sun and morning sun. I have fertilized it for 2 years as it was planted early spring 2020. Why isn't it blooming? Help?

Do you prune it in late winter? Roses bloom on new growth so they need to be pruned each year before they begin to flush new growth.
