I have been playing around with the quest for a few months now, my biggest tips would be using a floormat with a border so u can stay in place and using a minimal vest or straps with pockets for storing a microfiber cloth, extra batteries and connecting to an overhead powersupply with tethering to prevent damage to any electronics and you can use a hoodie to amplify the sound from the built-in speakers of the headset
The floormat is a MUST. Really, you can do without all the rest, but having the floormat to keep yourself in place and disabling the guardian is just the best thing ever, specially if you're playing totally wireless. The freedom that it gives you literally feels like you upgraded, but you just put a piece of cloth in the floor. You'll also be WAY more immersed because the guardian won't keep popping up during gameplay. It's the one thing that once you try you just can't ever go back.
Being visually impaired is a secret superpower sometimes, like how I basically never get eye strain because the filter is built in to my prescription, I can play for hours in vr and feel great when exiting it, also the filter in my glasses doesn't make things yellow, so I can see all the colors vibrantly, but without the eye strain.
A tip for anyone who wants even longer battery life, ive owned my quest 2 and battery strap for about 8 months now and ive been able to play and record an ENTIRE day just by buying a mobile cellphone battery bank and connecting that to my headstrap every so often, also try not to let your headset battery itsself ever get below 20% or things will start to get funky.

There isn’t much difference even the quality looks similar the quest 3 is slightly better but they look almost the same . The last thing that made me mad is that the battery goes down fast on the 3 than the 2 😐
I never turn off my Quest 2 but I’ve got a 10 hour battery pack that lasts for days if I don’t get online. If I plan to play I just plug her in a few hours before and I’m good for the day.
Another rookie mistake is to actually use the quest as a standalone when it shines the most on pc games, chances are you might already have games that have a free vr version
I tried to find the update but when I tried to shut it down it showed the update I watched the video and followed the steps but when I got on to the settings I did not show any updates
It is. Just pop the black part off first and then unscrew the two screws that hold it in place. But only do it if you're planning on replacing it, otherwise leave it as is. There's flex cables under this cover, and if you play without the cover, any hit is basically death sentence to the controller.
Quest 3 is to expensive for me currently. I am going to buy a quest 2 (I used to have one but sold it) primarily because the games a i like all run fine on the quest 2.
Bruh for one month I played on the quest two freaking day and night my eyes weren’t strained from this so what does the strain everyone’s eyes Also in that month ain’t got extremely good at beat sabre I am able to do every single song in expert mode and one song in the expert plus
I used it basically every single day for hours for about 3 months (used it to play and watch Netflix, Amazom and some series through DLNA) and not only my eyes are fine, but my vision improved (obviously not because of the Quest, lol).
🚨BIG FYI... Turning off/powering down your headset WILL NOT clear the cache and close open apps, YOU MUST RESTART your headset from time to time for that to take place. Same goes for alot of other computer type devices.
Luckily my quest 2 still has the oculus logo, so this don't apply to me, at least the dated part. I got it when there were no better options for cordless vr

Not deleting old games doesnt matter, especially when you dont do standalone often, ive had the 256GB varient for a long time now *since preorder* and ive never deleted any games, or any video's,pictures, etc. and ive barely breached the 60% marker. as long as you dont go willy nilly downloading everything you see your fine.

I have a quest 3 and gave my quest 2 to my little sister . At first it seems like the quest 3 is leagues above the 2 then you get use to it .
What battery pack is it
Another rookie mistake is to actually use the quest as a standalone when it shines the most on pc games, chances are you might already have games that have a free vr version
Im almost getting enough money to get meta quest 2,should i buy it?
Buy quest 3 really new
@@Mr.gorrila.gt1 thats not so easy lol,its why im asking abt quest 2 and not 3
@@Vinicos01 dude literally the fan is so small I have a link
@@Vinicos01 and the quest 3 has. Bigger one

Im asking how i use headphones with Head Strap with Battery ???
i saw that someone says turn off fully long time ago now i do it daly
Thank you so much!
I tried to find the update but when I tried to shut it down it showed the update I watched the video and followed the steps but when I got on to the settings I did not show any updates
I mean quest 2 dosent sound bad if you wanna play pc games since you connect to your pc either way. No?
most of these are just suggestions not mistakes
I bought mine used for 250 usd yesterday.
It was with the elite strap and silicon face thing.
did you get the one branded with "Oculus" or one branded with "Meta"? and which level of memory does your hadset have? 128gb? 256gb or 64gb?
I bought one on offerup for 150 on February 22
@@manp1039 meta and 256gb

I've been hitting my controllers while playing gorilla tag.. It has black marks on the circle part on the top. Is it not removable?
It is. Just pop the black part off first and then unscrew the two screws that hold it in place. But only do it if you're planning on replacing it, otherwise leave it as is. There's flex cables under this cover, and if you play without the cover, any hit is basically death sentence to the controller.
Controller cover
?
my quest came with the silicone cover, os i didn'T have to buy one... i thought it came with it from the beginning, people had/have to buy them?
mine didn't cause i got it a while ago
what is the bow ball game called, looks like rocketleague but vr
It's called echo vr
I tried to plug in my own headphones on Meta Quest2 but they just wouldn’t fit
This is a problem
Quest 3 is to expensive for me currently. I am going to buy a quest 2 (I used to have one but sold it) primarily because the games a i like all run fine on the quest 2.
yeah quest 2 works amazing still. id give it another year and a half before it starts to become dated fr
You were right about the price
what if you always charge it when done?
whats that game in the middle of thge expensive games section its a shooter
ive had the normal headstrap it came with for a few years and it does not bother me i dont see a point to get a diffrent one
I guess your head fits perfectly to the t lol
lucky for you, cause I got sick of the original head strap REAL fast
I bought Q2 last year and i played it few times actively but last week ive played with it for like 20h
I love all the insults. Keep it up
Bruh for one month I played on the quest two freaking day and night my eyes weren’t strained from this so what does the strain everyone’s eyes Also in that month ain’t got extremely good at beat sabre I am able to do every single song in expert mode and one song in the expert plus
I used it basically every single day for hours for about 3 months (used it to play and watch Netflix, Amazom and some series through DLNA) and not only my eyes are fine, but my vision improved (obviously not because of the Quest, lol).
I cant use headphones while it bc i have an other type of like the .. yk the thing that holds the vr on your head , i forgot how to call it
The headstrap is bound to break my nose because my head is very tiny and it cant adjust to my head size...
Thanks dude! ( I’m subscribing now )
me too
🚨BIG FYI... Turning off/powering down your headset WILL NOT clear the cache and close open apps, YOU MUST RESTART your headset from time to time for that to take place. Same goes for alot of other computer type devices.
Cool
Bro I couldn’t help my self from almost crying when u showed echo vr
Bro I brought a be head set and it has so much dandruff in side it and had to clean it 😢
What game was being played at 3:16
I need another quest I used it so mutch in a year it doesn't last 10 minutes before overheating😊
Luckily my quest 2 still has the oculus logo, so this don't apply to me, at least the dated part. I got it when there were no better options for cordless vr
Not to be a nerd but that gun game with the robots is called hyperdash
Does anybody know how I can connect my headset. To my television do I need to buy a cable so I can show people what I am doing. Why not playing a game
Thanks for any help
You're funny, keep doing it 👺
I would add to get a Wifi-6 router Makes a huge difference
do you have one?
@@kaysarinc Yes
Just get the quest 2, it’s really good and affordable however if you have a ton of money then get a newer headset
How do i fix my vr headset not turning off
Does anyone know how to fix the microphone volume. My microphone in the headset is very low and people cant bearly hear me, so pls answer this someone. I really need a solution to make the microphone volume increase.
Sadly my Headphone jack is broken it only can hear from one side 😭😭
Not deleting old games doesnt matter, especially when you dont do standalone often, ive had the 256GB varient for a long time now *since preorder* and ive never deleted any games, or any video's,pictures, etc. and ive barely breached the 60% marker. as long as you dont go willy nilly downloading everything you see your fine.
How do you sit there and cast your Oculus quest to to my phone or the TV I can't seem to get it to work
what game is that in the intro?
I am new to be and I hope this will help me
Why is paying £250 for a quest 2 a stupid thing to do when the quest 3 costs more than double that, that’s just a ridiculous snobby comment. For someone new to VR the quest 2 is more than adequate and is still a fantastic headset.
I honestly do think I should’ve saved up for the quest 3 but I’m happy with quest 2 for now.
I do do that, but the question is an awful like I use it it’s not that bad. I had my question for two months and I use the regular head strap. It’s not that bad.
the worst part about uninstalling games on the Quest 2 is that you can't remove it from your App library. It's so dumb
