@@RobbsHomemadeLife thanks Robb. I’m trying to get things done as quickly as my body will allow. Then, I’m going into my knife shop with no projects hanging over my head to divert my attention from.
I helped a friend with the same fence problem in Louisiana. His boxer was digging under whatever was put up. Instead of digging a trench to bury fencing, We strung up a single wire of doggie electric fence. Naturally, we had to try it out before exposing his dog. I touched it and said to my buddy “I got nothing!” He said it’s your rubber soles, touch your other hand to the ground. Wow! Not lethal but extremely unpleasant . I felt every atom up one arm ,across my back and down the other. The dog watched both of us and never even tried it after seeing the results on us.
My neighbor with the killer dog doesn’t seem to be bothered by us old folks having to carry a gun to go get our mail. It won’t be long and that dog will bite his wife or kids and it will be gone. There’s a neighborhood behind us where everyone who owns a dog, lets them roam the town. My neighbor with the cows has lost several calves over the years to roam g dogs. He’s shit several of them but they keep getting new dogs.
It had to be a sigh of relief when you finally made your yard safe for your "kids" Bad enough to have to worry about wild and feral animals. Even worse when neighbor's bad behavior causes a hazard. On another note, amazing that t-post was exactly centered in the wrong place. Glad you had the strength (sheer determination?) to lever it out of the way. Hope it didn't further aggravate your back problems. Wonder if Charly saw a 4' black snake? Over the years, I've seen a couple that were well over 4', around here. Remember one my Dad dispatched cause it was in the wrong place. That one was over 5' - not a fishing tale. 🙂 Hope you and Charly have a peaceful Wednesday. Pamper your back a bit. God Bless. Godspeed.
Once I passed 70 my back started giving me a lot of problems. Now (@75) I just go to bed with a backache and then get up the next morning with a backache!
Making progress and getting it done is hard in this heat and humidity. Having back problems doesn’t ever help matters. You would think JET would have better customer service, but nowadays it’s just common. Have a blessed day and take care of your back!
I was a bit surprised at how unhelpful the technical assistance guy was. I told him about how many Jet n MB chines I have in my shop. Didn’t matter to him.
So far, no good neighbors. Every one of our neighbors has tried to bring one for or another of pain into our lives. One neighbor has a pitbull that runs the neighborhood and chases people, another neighbor calls the police on us every time the wind blows, another. Neighbor complained to the mayor that we put a fence up,,, and on and on and on. Oh,,, I forgot about the post office thing where they lady decided she want going to deliver mail to me because another neighbor complained about the mailman driving up Into His front yard to turn around. Yep, so far, no good neighbors.
by tack that fence up you mean nail screw staple nut and bolt i use a chain and an old school bumper jack the lil hook on the jack grabs the chain nicely most people in customer service dont want to be bothered
I liked how you used the lever principal to pull that T-post out of the ground. Thanks
It wasn’t coming out without it.
Brad it always impresses me how much work you get done .

“I’m a mowin’ man, and I cut a lotta grass…”
I have to now so slowly that it sure seems like lots of grass.
I did the same on my fence for the same reason. Unfortunately it make trimming the fence line a pain in the butt!
@@NormanMcGregor to me, it’s worth the piece of mind.
@@bctruck Me too, but it does get to me every time I cut the grass. LOL!

Congrats on a good looking fence , good fences makes for good neighbors and stray puppies.

I plan on welding the fence to the T posts.
I think there are not enough staples in that fence.
If it were up to me, I would also put some U boots every 6 inches 😅
I’m going to bring my welder out and weld the fence to the metal T posts.
about digging the hole
The Essex - Easier Said Than Done
Holes get harder to dig, the older I get.
Fence is coming along nice. Uncross your ankles when you mow. It keeps your BP normal. You know that..shame on you.
I can’t. It hurts even worse. That’s why I save the mowing to the last thing I do for the day. I’m no good for anything afterwards.
Do you have a Byrna pistol by any chance?
I don’t know what that is.
@@bctruck non-lethal cs gun. Good for defending against aggressive dogs.
@@JimsEquipmentShedoh, I do have two cans of bear spray. One in the truck and one in the house.
