- Important video for you awesome viewers and some convention schedule. It's always been an uphill battle against the RUclips algorithm, and I need your help to be engaged to keep the spirit of this channel going without going the "trending" route of RUclips. We're a few months away from 1 million subscribers and its gonna be a grind. It's been 7 years coming up of the show, so please: Tuesdays and Fridays 9 a.m. PST our videos are released. Please give them a thumbs up, comment on them, and watch them all the way through. This is our fighting chance to appeal to the algorithm and keep making the content we love to make. Thank you.

Sorry you're also being hit by the algorithm dude. For what it's worth, I appreciate how you're handling it. Many channels are being faced with the dilemma of having to ask themselves "what do I do this for?". In that, some content creators will inevitably lose the heart and soul of their channels in the name of "playing the game". I'm glad you're here to be you. I understand that one has to keep their head above water, but that can not be at the expense of the fun people have watching you, or the fun you have making videos. Thank you for being you!

RUclips is getting worse and worse. Every time I see a million subs channel complaining I realize how bad it actually is for everyone not following the trends... It's a sad era for creative people on RUclips.

Yes the algorithm is following trends which hurts content creators in getting new viewers but if the completionist decided "hey lets make shit fortnite videos" it wouldnt help his views situation AT ALL. Yes he'll get a couple of new viewers but he'd be abandoning content that 900k people subbed to him for which means he'd be at a net loss.
Loxu not really, because all it takes its a part of his public to actually watch the videos to give them traction, then youtube would stamp it on everyone's home page and make it trend like it did to so many others. That translates into Massive crazy exponential growth.
That's what's he's passing on to keep his artistic integrity.
Big channels who dance the youtube dance do very well. Just look at pewdiepie, despite all the controversies, the guy plays the algorithm like a flute and consistently gets millions of views every day.
He even jokes about the quality of his content going way down and everyone can see it's true. He doesn't care, the algorithm doesn't care, he keeps reacting to stupid stuff and the algorithm loves it.

No pewdiepie is the stupidest example you could've brought up the dude literally has the most subscribers on youtube who subscribed to him for his personality and his humor and he hasn't really deviated from that to play the algorithm so his subs aren't going to leave him. Second of all just because you make fortnite videos and get a handful of people to watch doesn't mean youtube is suddenly going to get front page he would have a better chance making his own content (again what 900k people subscribed to him for) and making the front page than slapping himself on a fortnite video. Just because you think suddenly playing the algorithm and alienating your fans (forcing you to rebuild your fanbase) is going to suddenly grant you millions of views doesnt mean its going to happen.
You aren't the only one dude. Trust me.

I love New Game Plus, since I subscribed right before the purge so I barely know the Great Beard. I’ll stay and love the completions you do, Jirad. Keep going, and I hope you take a break should you need it. Thank you not for what you do, but for doubling down and seeing RUclips as a means to an end and not a carrot to chase, tempting as it is for all of us. Creators, the ‘what’ of your brand comes first, then the ‘how’.
I've found it to be harder to find new things i love, new channels and the like... It's not your fault for any dips and I love your videos. Your ability to play games so well and wade through the grinds(or skill caps) that have caused me to turn away from certain games always amazes me. Great work.

I've been watching this show for a few years now and I think it's one of the best game review shows on the internet. I wasn't subscribed before but I am now because I don't want this channel to go anywhere.

Funny, i haven watched this channel in years and this was recommended to me. Ether way, the RUclips algorithm as change so much that everything that worked in 2016 don't anymore anymore. Such a shame big youtubers who put work into their videos are being sidelined by youtubers who push out sub-par videos every day and get thousands, maybe even millions of views and subscribers.
Your channel is one of the few left that I feel does what you guys enjoy and it shows. Please don't give in, just keep on keeping on. We love you!
Recently I've been busy with moving out of my parent's house and I always watched your videos on the weekends to start my morning. Unfortunately, with all the moving, I haven't had time but I will try my best to start watching stuff again soon. You seem like a good guy Jirard and I'd hate to see good guys like you give in to like trends and RUclips algorithms in general just to survive, so keep doing whatever you want to do because I will still support you!

I've only recently started watching videos from the channel (late to the party I know) and I'm really enjoying them, I'm glad to hear that you guys are sticking to what you love doing instead of jumping on the trending bandwagon, that right there is a straight up "no thank you" from me.
Keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure that most if not all of your subscribers would rather see you doing what you love in your own way, I can fully understand what a hassle it must be to go against today's RUclips, but that's exactly what we need, people to keep fighting and creating their own content in their own way.

It's a huge problem because it's going to be an extremely hard fight to convince a company, whose sole purpose now is to make money, to ease back on trends and actually support creative passion work, ESPECIALLY when what they're doing now IS getting them big bucks.

I mostly watch your videos about older games. I don’t typically watch your videos about newer games as I often intend to play them myself, or am in the process of playing them. Your new God of War video is an example of a video that I’m probably not going to watch.
