Deku is written like Peter not the other way second they are trying something new not everything has to be exactly like the way it is in the comics. Sometimes I wonder if as Spider-Man fans are we just afraid of change and uniqueness
@devanbarrios9216 because everyone wants to hate on it without actually even seeing or watching it, so many people are judging it cause it looks different and just tries its own unique formula. That's what adaptations are they are inspired by the source material but they aren't meant to be exactly the same, they are meant to just take a bit of the source material and add they're own unique spin. Like you want me to watch the same Spider-Man story, the same formula like bro that gets boring and repetitive how many stories of uncle Ben being shot do I have to watch honestly like NWH changed that by having it be May unlike Ben who is just used as a plot device, with May we actually got to see her relationship with Peter spend more time with her, learn about her and see how she actually inspires Peter which actually made it more impactful than Ben's who we barely see and know anything about other than him giving Peter that quote plus May's death was literally unexpected and came in as something new snd amazing
@BennonNgosa That's kind of the theme of Spider-Verse 2, you know with the canon event stuff and things that need to repeat themselves but Miles wants to do it differently.

Best example is Spidey swinging from the night sky into the burning building to fight butane. the color doesn't change AT ALL, and it really stands out to me
and no, the lack of shading isn't to keep it in the original Ditko style. Ditko used quite a bit of shading in his pieces. Not a super-hyper-realistic amount, but enough to change with the environment and reflect the lighting of the scene
1:35 For those not in the know about CG animation processes, I’m gonna break down why the frame rate looks how it does. It actually is a stylistic choice, and in fact a necessary one for CG projects with art styles catered for 2D like this. The problem is it’s just not done all that well. It’s also very common in anime like Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, Gundam, etc. What’s being done is known as frame skipping, in which inbetween positions in movement paths are deliberately removed to give the models a more 2D-like feel (as a typical hand drawn animation wouldn’t include every single step of movement, but instead is typically drawn on 2s with a series of pictures that display every other position of movement). While the frame skipping is intentional, which you can tell because it’s significantly toned down or completely done away with during the action scenes, the main problem with it is that frame skipping has to be combined with dynamic, snappy movement to convey that traditional 2D animation feeling. However, all the keyframes in the show seem really stiff, and almost too “realistic”. I think the show’s saved by just how good the concept art is. I forget who the character designer is but he’s done a fantastic job modernizing those early Lee-Romita era comics while still keeping what made them so visually unique.
The lower frame rate isn’t a necessity; Sparking Zero similarly has a 2D inspired art style, and avoids frame skipping while still looking great. To be done well, animating in 3D at a lower frame rate requires frame by frame positioning; not just removing frames(which seems to be what this show did) Because this show only removes frames, it results in stiff, choppy animation
@@reubenax Mind you Sparking Zero is a VIDEO GAME not a tv show / movie… To even disprove that further FighterZ and the Guilty Gear series utilize frame skipping quite a bit to achieve a more 2.5D look.
@@keno4770 the problem is it just doesn't work. No matter how you describe how or why they did it, i think if the decided not to do this 3D cell shading mess, it wouldve worked fine as a 2D show. While it mightve worked in xmen 97 and what if its very clear it do not fit here.
@@technorue9899imo it doesn’t work because it seems like the movement is almost entirely based on motion capture for the civilian scenes. Adding frame skipping to realistic movement like that is a recipe for this weird uncanny valley. You’ll notice that during the fight scenes, it looks a lot better because they’re likely rigging every movement position by hand instead of just following a predetermined path and then removing frames. I’d assume they went with 3D over 2D for some time constraining measures, rather than any budgetary restrictions. Considering how many years this show has been delayed, I’m fairly certain marvel wanted to get it out sooner rather than later, and went to go 3D to compensate for lost time, since it is overall much faster.
He can be in highschool but he should just be alone. The main part of Spider-Man’s character is that he got no assistance and started from THE VERY bottom. It’s also an issue with the modern comics. He’s not growing anymore. Stan’s plan with Spider-Man was that he was gonna start alone as Spider-Man and everything would go wrong as he tries to learn, eventually he would start growing and become a better hero. He would also accomplish his dreams which he has been so close to doing in the comics but have always been instantly dropped.
Agreed,Hudson Thames & Josh Keaton would be perfect for that because they're full-grown adults & not teenagers.I mainly voice Peter out loud whenever I watch The Spectacular Spider-Man because I'm closer in age.
@@DanialDEcool true... but atleast the assistance that he has in this show is from an evil bastard. So that's better. But yeah, we need him to be a loner hero again.
The reason it feels so much like the MCU spider man is because the show was originally meant to be a 'prequel' of shorts to Tom Holland's spider man, that was later changed and now the show is its own thing and not cannon to the MCU
Main problems. 1.Yet another origin story. 2. Unnecessary race swapping in a time where everyone hates race swapping. 3. Show looking weird with an uneven blend of 3D and 2D elements.
The Osborne race swaps makes sense because they all have waves. Even Norman's cousin, the Sandman has waves so it's genetic and you know what people have natural waves, black people. Stay in school, kid.

1:41 The Spider Verse movies use key frames to make the animation look good and dynamic, even with the lower framerate ... here it's not even comparable.
It uses it to be like comic panels. But this one doesn’t act like that. Not to mention the spider characters usually move faster than the other people in spiderverse which is to show they’re relatively faster. Otherwise this is mid.
With the animation, what I've noticed is that it seems like instead of going in and messing with or cutting out in-between frames to give a more intentional look, they instead just turned down the frame rate to simulate that look, giving us the anime car problem but with everything.
I think they've only drawn 'some' frames, and trusted 'AI' to create the missing frames.. except they didn't like how half of those looked.. so they scrapped the dodgy AI outputs. Result? Low framerate! :D
To many issues with this cartoon already. The race swap bothers me, but the deathblow is having Peter being a small dork AGAIN lol People completely misinterpret the first 28 issues of TAS when Pete was in highschool
It's genuinely tragic to see how the worlds second most popular superhero is being treated with such disrespect and the studio behind keeps milking him for money while not putting out any product thats at LEAST decent quality, with the money potential spidey has this show must have been at LEAST spectacular spider-man quality(mind you that show is turning 16 years old this year, realistically they should be doing way better than that), but no, disney keeps taking us for fools and they think we're gonna gobble on any slop they put out as long as it features spider-man, genuinely im not even gonna waste my time on this show
Peter’s awkwardness is unfunny and really annoying to watch here. It’s not even very accurate to his character. Peter was a loner, and a nerd. He didn’t have some social disability like how he speaks in this show. Norman is race swapped for some reason, there is a lack of good/well known side characters in the trailer, and it just doesn’t look or feel like Spiderman. It just feels like a fraud version of Peter was placed into the disney-fied sandbox of diversity with no connection to Spiderman lore outside of references and other fraud versions of our favorite characters.
This may be this generation of kids' favourite Spider-man cartoon.....I'll watch the 1st couple of episodes at least, but I just want another season of spectacular Spider-man 😢
@LewisFilmsProductions True, but X-men 97 had incredible animation to start with, and it doesn't seem like we're going to get that with this new spider-man cartoon(Mostly
I know you want that but it is literally impossible for more spectacular Spider-Man. And if it would be made Disney would force control. Yk that replacement for heroine in spectacular Spider-Man? Goblin green or whatever? They would never get away with that under Disney’s control. They stopped they show because they couldn’t control it as much as their own thing so they just left Sony with the rights. Sony has to give Disney the rights and Disney has to accept.
@DanialDEcool Honestly, at this point I think Sony will do anything to have control over the spider-man property, and Disney will do anything not to be broke so we'll see
The style is really growing on me, animation wise it's alright, but overall it looks pretty decent although I wish we had a Spidey show where we follow Peter in college or in his adult years, but none the less I'd definitely give FNSM a watch when it comes out!
I have been trying to have an open mind, but the trailer was so boring imao. The animation still doesn’t work for me (why does it look worse than “What If…?”). They didn’t show off almost any of the villains (I know they showed off concept art or whatever at a con but it’s not the same as seeing them in posters or trailers). Also I don’t like the VA for Peter Parker in this show. Maybe it’s a result of writing or directing, or they chose the worse clips for this trailer, but I just didn’t vibe with his performance. Really hoping the show itself is at least decent!
story wise i wonder if the goblin will be similar to og ultimate spiderman where he trys to remake the spider powers and gets turnt into the green goblin
That... sounds incredibly accurate. It might've actually been considered at some point, but everyone knew having Peter instead of Miles would sell a lot more. Very much like MCU movies.
@@radrno7 Sad part is they already throwing out the racist Isms and stuff before it even comes out. Almost like they knew this would happen and this is just the norm now. I'm sorry to hear that. About the animation, I don't even read comics to begin with, so I didn't think I was gonna be a huge fan of the comic-like animation, but I still enjoyed the trailer nonetheless. And come on! You didn't even mention the cool things about the trailer! Like the fact that they brought back the classic spiderman theme at the beginning of the trailer! And how about the rap that was playing throughout the rest of the trailer? I thought that was cool! So you're looking for something new and different? I feel like this show is gonna have enough new and different things for you to still enjoy it. I agree that this show won't be as good as previous spiderman shows like spectacular spiderman and ultimate spiderman (yes, i'm also a fan of ultimate spiderman), but the trailer had me hooked. And I don't know about you, but i'm gonna check this out when it comes out on disney plus.
We just gotta wait so far. However for me Spectacular the 1994 and 1960 spiderman show is king for me I hope this show can meet the candle to it predecessors.
I believe that the reason why the animation seems choppy is because they wanted to make it more comic booky in a way as if these are aoges being brought to life (don't know how to fully explain it but that's what im getting at) so they started away from smooth animation. I don't mind it in some cases but sometimes it does bother me. You can also think of it as maybe showing that this is the beginning of Peter's journey so he doesn't have a complete grip on the whole superhero lifestyle (sort of like how miles frame rate changed as he got better as being spiderman on the first movie)
This feels like a "hello fellow kids" vibes. But joke a side, this does not want to me watch it of how unimpressive it is. The animation is not good and I know they could do better than this since they've done X-Men 97, another origin of Spider-Man set in High School again, get ready for nostalgia bits to get older older audience to come, and I'm sick and tired of these lazy raceswap characters where there's original characters existed but they choose not to pick them especially of how Harry looks as he looks like a lesbian. Also, I just wish Peter fight his own battles instead of having a mentor as if the writers have no confident on them.
I genuinely do not understand the hate for this series, especially considering it hasn't even come out yet. Everyone's treating it like it's Velma. This isn't the first time they've race-changed characters. They did it with Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Shocker, Liz Allen, Sally Avril and MJ in the MCU and Jessica Drew in Across the Spider-Verse and there were no complaints then, so how is race changing the Osborns any different, this isn't the first time they've been race changed either since it also happened in the that mini Spidey comic series back in 2015-2016. I'm going to be in the minority by saying that the animation and designs felt pretty solid, especially the swinging bits. It gave me Ultimate Spider-Man game mixed with MTV, MCU and Spider-Verse vibes. In terms of Peter's group of friends, it sucks that we don't get MJ, Ned Leeds or Gwen Stacy or even Flash Thompson; I am intrigued by what Runaways' Nico Minoru has to offer as Peter's bestie in this series. As odd as it is to have Tombstone as one of Peter's classmates (I wish that was Randy Robinson, but I digress) again, this is nothing new since there were many incarnations where they've aged down Spider-Man's villains and have had as his schoolmates. They did it with Rhino twice: Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man (2017) and they did it with Electro in MTV Spider-Man, Molten Man in The Spectacular Spider-Man and Alistair Smythe in Marvel's Spider-Man (2017) In terms of Norman Osborn being Peter's mentor instead of Tony Stark and him already knowing Spider-Man's identity is something I'm genuinely curious as to how it's going to play out. Though I seriously doubt we're gonna get Green Goblin, it'll be way too soon. Given the Spider-Man TV shows we've got in the past, I will take this over the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. But nothing will ever beat The Spectacular Spider-Man! (In my opinion).
I'm pretty much mixed and looking forward to the series, but I do agree with your legitimate critiques, I think it's important to express them so when it might get renewed for a 2nd season, it can rectify most of the issues you presented. As for the backgrounds and stuff, I'll say, it looks much better than using photoshop filters like with Ultimate Spider-Man and overly minimalist designs with the 2017 series. I was kinda miffed that there's another Spider-Man series where he's still in High School, like why? If you wanna use a teenage Spider-Man, use Miles Morales and let Peter do the grown up adventures instead, plus, Parker's cameos from X-Men 97 shows how much folks want his story continued of how he'll eventually find Mary Jane, and how loved his more adult form in the Spider-verse movies has been recieved as well.
It feels like writers behind the recent Spider-Man cartoons aren't confident in his supporting cast and fill it with unrelated superheroes or either characters Peter should be older then or characters that are supposed to be younger then Peter and then turn them the same age as him. Don't even get me started on how this show continues the trend of portraying Peter Parker as meek person even thought he's the complete opposite. I think it's mainly the fault of TASM 1 not being received that well which made Sony and Marvel not want to adapt the more negative side of Peter's personality. Another thing I don't like about this is removing Uncle Ben from Peter's origin. We had a prequel comic come out where it showed Uncle Ben dying BEFORE Peter got his powers, this show is telling us Spider-Man's origin is just him getting bite by a spider even though there's so much more. Peter blaming himself for Uncle Ben's death is a massive part of Spider-Man, his self guilt is very important, Uncle Ben's death teaches him a lesson. Here he gets powers and decides to be good without anything negative. EDIT: What I do like is the take on Norman finding out his identity and mentoring him, it gives the same vibe as Ultimate Spider-Man were we know Harry and Peter will have a conflict and it's building up to that like a time bomb, they can do something similar here with Norman instead. My only problem with this is that I'm not really a fan of Peter Parker in general having a mentor figure, even if he does it should be after his high school time as spidey and during his collage years. Peter should be alone fighting his battles in his first few years as Spider-Man, he shouldn't have anyone.
@@LewisFilmsProductions I actually am interested in her character, judging from the comic she seems to be taking the role of a sort of mystery solver, could be interesting as maybe she tries to find out information about something and Peter needs to tip-to around so she doesn't discover his identity, or her without knowing actually helping Spider-Man. Maybe throughout the season Nico gets suspicious of Peter's actions.
The animation of this show is so poorly done. It's like they tried to copy the spider-verse films with having the blend of 2D and 3D and copying the comic styles more but failed in doing so and it just looks cheap and unfinished. I was originally keeping an open mind with the show and thought the hate was forced and unnecessary, but after seeing the trailer I have no hope. Smth that this video didn't mention is whatever they did to Harry. That is not Harry Osborn in the slightest and I'm scared to see how they may adapt other iconic Spider-man characters.
Heres my prediction, i wanna be wrong but itll probably go like this: 1 show comes out, it flies under the radar and it will be dubbed either the worst spidey show or just completely unremarkable 2 it remains like that for a solid decade 3 the toddlers who grew up watching the show will grow big and claim that the show was amazing and secretly the best (i.e. what happened with Ultimate Spider-Man) 4 it still wont dethrone TAS and Spectacular despite the new flood of supporters
Eventually the people who watched Spectacular and TAS won’t be on the internet as much so it’s inevitable that they’re gonna be dethroned even if the new leader is mid.
This show has me constantly saying to myself, "Look forward and keep holding on to the hope it's going to be good and not a repeat of ultimate and 2017" but I keep feeling like it's gonna suck! Also, this video has helped me decipher how the show looks to me: Ironman armored adventures animation, totally Ditko art style with mostly mcu and live action tv superhero show designs Also, I mean the way I described the design part to be in derogatory way
I don't like that they're using the future foundation suit without the future foundation. That suit is absolutely not a year one Spider-Man suit and not having the FF/F4 is just astronomically stupid. Especially with how integral they've been in Peter's story since the very first ASM issue.
To be fair, in the comics highschool peter actually didnt have any friends, gwen harry and mary jane came in im pretty sure when peter was in his college arc, so maybe this show will do something similar, have gwen harry and mary jane get introduced when this peter is in his college arc, but im not sure this is just a theory of mine
I'd much rather have an Spider-Man 98 than this, it clearly shows they have no experience with a complete 3D show as MTV's Spider-Man had much better 3D animation which still holds up to this day. I could also go on about the race and gender swaps, but Hollywood is hell-bent on keeping gingers out and we can't stop them. My final point is the homemade suit as Peter would definitely not be that lazy when making it or leave a vital component of his suit exposed to attacks, only a complete moron would leave something as vital as the webshooters method of using webfluid exposed and unprotected. If you're gonna do a Spider-Man movie or show, don't drastically change it from the source like this show is. This is why Toby's Spider-Man was popular and why Andrew's did good enough, because they didn't drastically force changes that made no sense.
We shall see. I think Norman will establish a foundation for Peter to go on to make his own suit. After all, we know the classic red and blue suit will be in this show
Y’know what we need? A ‘what if’ Spider-Man where Peter basically becomes Homelander (metaphorically speaking) a superhero Jackass who’s only in it for the fame and glory and has zero empathy, not even when he loses Uncle Ben, apparently he kind of acted like that in the original comics before becoming the heroic Spider-Man we all know him as
I miss it when spiderman and peter parker were written like 2 different characters instead of just the funny shy dork that makes an awkward joke every 3 minutes version seen in everything since TASM2. it feels like they're trying so hard to write him to relatable when their missing the point
Yeah I feel this. Although I prefer a more Ultimate Spider-Man-Like Peter Parker, I'm aware that change in the character over time is inevitable no matter what, so I chose to ignore it.
I personally feel that this show will be mediocre. I don’t think it’ll be bad but I don’t think it’ll be good either. Can’t say for sure until it comes out
7:50 hell even the whiteboard has no calk dust at all on it, and hearing peter say duces is just so cring. That is something he would never say. Miles yeah but not peter
The animation is mid. The voice acting sounds weak. I hate the "Noman as a mentor and OsCorp creates the suit" bs. Lee & Ditko created a masterpiece. Honor it.
I think it would’ve been more interesting if instead of “what if…Tom holland Peter was mentored by osborn” it was “what if…Tobey Maguire Peter was in the mcu instead”
i do hope normal scenes look good but i already know by the trailers last ff suit swing it can look really good with spidermans action at least, hopefully season 2 also fixes it up and takes people advice on how everything from normal peter to spiderman scenes
I just don’t understand why they can’t use the normal characters. They just got rid of white characters to get rid of them, Spider-Man has characters of color in all different adaptations and Disney ignored them. I’m fine with race swapped Osborns, I’m with diversity, and I’m fine with using different characters than usual but Disney can use characters from marvel and they just ignore them.
This show might be able to surpass the Marvel's Spider-Man show in 2017 but it looks like this is not going to even compete with the Ultimate Spider-Man show, also Disney and Marvel honestly should have continued the Spectacular Spider-Man show for all of our sake's.
Mmm, very observant of you, but you missed one key thing. When things burn they don't disappear, and not everything becomes ash instantly, so there should be significant ruble everywhere, its way too empty to look like it's occupied
@thomasbennett0 come on bro, please tell me you're not that delusional. So all the ruble just happens to be behind the fire leaving the space where they're fighting squeaky clean.😭😭😭
Think about this. They could've made the trailer a while ago, they just didn't post it so the fans wouldn't loose interest or forget about it entirely.
Art style is the way things look in terms of the characters design / shading / colour etc. Animation is the movement of the models and the characters. Someone who works in that industry will be able to tell you more in depth, but to my basic understanding this is the difference.
The art style is amazing, ripped from the OG Ditko comics but with modern designs. The animation is disgusting and jarring. This should have never been a 3D modeled show, it immediately dates the look of the show and is so distracting that it'll turn people away from frame one.

Looks like Spectacular Spider-Man is still the last good Spider-Man cartoon, not counting the Spider-Verse movies.

Why does he need yet another mentor and continues to be in highschool? Let him grow up!
Fr 😭🙏
I think we can agree the art style look amazing for the show but the animation is holding it back a lot
Yeah
The reason it feels so much like the MCU spider man is because the show was originally meant to be a 'prequel' of shorts to Tom Holland's spider man, that was later changed and now the show is its own thing and not cannon to the MCU
Felt like a disney jr show 💀
Main problems.
@@BaithNa the waves aren't super important to their character

The show really should've been 2d. The art style lends itself better to that as seen in the concept art for example
I feel like it’d be better as a video game with this art style.
Oooo
Almost has a Ultimate Spider-Man look lol
Ohhhh that’s probably why it looks jarring
I think they've only drawn 'some' frames, and trusted 'AI' to create the missing frames.. except they didn't like how half of those looked.. so they scrapped the dodgy AI outputs. Result? Low framerate! :D
berserk level cg in spiderman is crazy
Just wait how Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man turns out when it comes out on Disney+

Preach, brother.
I expect the main villain to be Iron Patriot controlled by Norman Osborn
Oooo that would be cool
This may be this generation of kids' favourite Spider-man cartoon.....I'll watch the 1st couple of episodes at least, but I just want another season of spectacular Spider-man 😢
I mean we also have to consider that Xmen 97 was great. It may turn out like that
@LewisFilmsProductions True, but X-men 97 had incredible animation to start with, and it doesn't seem like we're going to get that with this new spider-man cartoon(Mostly
That’s fair. I’m still hopeful as well!
Someone said that this looks like a video game called Façade lmao i can't unsee that anymore (good game btw)
Ok but the suit looks cool because it looks like a first suit for spiderman and how we would be able to make in real life
story wise i wonder if the goblin will be similar to og ultimate spiderman where he trys to remake the spider powers and gets turnt into the green goblin
Ngl i think he might be closer to ultimate Nick Fury, he supports Peter because He wants him to work for him

Beats me like the same for Penguin being a woman and Harley Quinn being Asian in Batman the Caped Crusader

This feels like a Miles Moralas take in a world without Peter but then they threw Peter in
That... sounds incredibly accurate.
Not a true diverse thought just low key rasism by palette swap. Cant trust a Original Black character to hold a candle without the white man hand me downs. I would have watched it if it was all diffenrt characters but having similar origins. Thats the very essence of What IF. Not What if Norman Osborn was Black but What if someone else made the Goblin Formula what if the Spider bit a different kid not Peter.
I think the problem is cuz it's from Disney
Spectacular spider man had the best Peter Parker
We just gotta wait so far. However for me Spectacular the 1994 and 1960 spiderman show is king for me I hope this show can meet the candle to it predecessors.
why did they make the trailer suspiciously like invincible trailers...
Sounds like an elaborate excuse for cutting corners, but on "purpose"😂
@@tom79623so spiderverse cut corners? So Xmen ‘97 cut corners? So Puss In Boots 2 cut corners?
Spider Man will be main character that feels like side characters
This feels like a "hello fellow kids" vibes. But joke a side, this does not want to me watch it of how unimpressive it is. The animation is not good and I know they could do better than this since they've done X-Men 97, another origin of Spider-Man set in High School again, get ready for nostalgia bits to get older older audience to come, and I'm sick and tired of these lazy raceswap characters where there's original characters existed but they choose not to pick them especially of how Harry looks as he looks like a lesbian. Also, I just wish Peter fight his own battles instead of having a mentor as if the writers have no confident on them.
city looks emptier than in Ultimate Spiderman (2005)
They did it with Rhino twice: Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man (2017) and they did it with Electro in MTV Spider-Man, Molten Man in The Spectacular Spider-Man and Alistair Smythe in Marvel's Spider-Man (2017)
In terms of Norman Osborn being Peter's mentor instead of Tony Stark and him already knowing Spider-Man's identity is something I'm genuinely curious as to how it's going to play out.
Yeah, you definitely and genuinely do not understand
@ratten09 no, I don't! Please enlighten me as to why this is considered an abomination to hardcore fans.
It’s really unfortunate because I love the classic comic aesthetic they were going for just to give us one of the worst Spider-Man suits ever
There are 4 more suits that we haven't seen yet, so stay peeled!
The whole thing feels empty, like the characters themselves feel hollow. With Spec. Spidey to me the characters felt like people.
Hmmm some good points in here. We will have to see what they do with Nico Minoru and co
I see your point, man. I kinda dislike the animation, too.

It might be censorship not going with the original cast.
-Harry is addicted to heroine in the comics.
Harry was adapated in Spectacular Spider-Man just fine tho...

-JMM
I’m going to give the show a try because it’s Spider-Man but I’d be lying if I said I’m looking forward to it.
Midjourney ahh animation
Heres my prediction, i wanna be wrong but itll probably go like this:
1 show comes out, it flies under the radar and it will be dubbed either the worst spidey show or just completely unremarkable
2 it remains like that for a solid decade
3 the toddlers who grew up watching the show will grow big and claim that the show was amazing and secretly the best (i.e. what happened with Ultimate Spider-Man)
4 it still wont dethrone TAS and Spectacular despite the new flood of supporters
Eventually the people who watched Spectacular and TAS won’t be on the internet as much so it’s inevitable that they’re gonna be dethroned even if the new leader is mid.
It, Looked, okay 👌, 👌
It, Looked, OKAY,
This show has me constantly saying to myself, "Look forward and keep holding on to the hope it's going to be good and not a repeat of ultimate and 2017" but I keep feeling like it's gonna suck!
Also, this video has helped me decipher how the show looks to me: Ironman armored adventures animation, totally Ditko art style with mostly mcu and live action tv superhero show designs Also, I mean the way I described the design part to be in derogatory way
We can hope it’ll be good!
Peter stands out from everyone else like he is out of place
this design feels like it is from a bygone era
I don't like that they're using the future foundation suit without the future foundation. That suit is absolutely not a year one Spider-Man suit and not having the FF/F4 is just astronomically stupid. Especially with how integral they've been in Peter's story since the very first ASM issue.
you want a good lee/ditko artstyle? just see unlimited spider-man, they nailed it there.
It looks cool
I’m still hopeful
@LewisFilmsProductions same I think the animation and trailer is good
I'd much rather have an Spider-Man 98 than this, it clearly shows they have no experience with a complete 3D show as MTV's Spider-Man had much better 3D animation which still holds up to this day.
After all, we know the classic red and blue suit will be in this show
I'm tired of no one using 2d Animation lol😅
Ngl, the colors remind me of old comics on newspapers
I kinda like it
The colouring is unique for sure!
they honestly should made this show 2d with an animation style similar to jjk season 2 or the csm movie
Y’know what we need? A ‘what if’ Spider-Man where Peter basically becomes Homelander (metaphorically speaking) a superhero Jackass who’s only in it for the fame and glory and has zero empathy, not even when he loses Uncle Ben, apparently he kind of acted like that in the original comics before becoming the heroic Spider-Man we all know him as

the cg style is way too jarring. It would've looked better if the show was just 2d imo
I think they were trying to reminisce Ditko or Romita, but completely butchered it when translating it to animation.
You know what? They should've made a game in that style instead.
Like Ultimate Spider-Man on GameCube.
I don’t care I just want pictures of Spider-Man in my desk
This show might be able to surpass the Marvel's Spider-Man show in 2017 but it looks like this is not going to even compete with the Ultimate Spider-Man show, also Disney and Marvel honestly should have continued the Spectacular Spider-Man show for all of our sake's.

Art style is the way things look in terms of the characters design / shading / colour etc. Animation is the movement of the models and the characters. Someone who works in that industry will be able to tell you more in depth, but to my basic understanding this is the difference.
