I'm using inride 500 with my 29" MTB. The trick here is, I'm using a separate 28" rear wheel with the trainer tyres. This gives the necessary ground clearance for my rear tyre as well as no need of tyre raiser for my front tyre since it is already at a higher level ;) So all those with 29" MTBs you can use Inride 500.

Intelligence at heights. Breaks are given for such scenario. And since the cycle is not in motion even if the tire slips the movement will be slow as it takes force to start. Sometimes physics classes helps. 😀
No, but a regular black tyre will make a lot of mess behind the trainer. So you would need to put some paper behind the tyre as there will be a lot of black stuff on the floor.

It is compatible with 29". I'm using it on a Scott MTB with 29x2.15 tyres no problem
