Hey everyone! This time I restored a French pocket knife. It was in decent condition until I removed covers and saw a lot of rust... stay tuned and enjoy in watching! Thanks a lot for watching and support. It means a lot to me! I wish you great week ahead! See you next Monday 😊 Boris, Norway
Wow ! This has got to be one of your best projects so far. It really came out beautifully ! Excellent Craftsmanship. Thank you for posting and sharing this with us.
I enjoyed this as many items can be fixed better than new with time and persistence! From a retired school shop teacher. Little money to buy new so we had to fix our tools in house. Good luck with future projects. A+ grade on this one.
As I watched you disassemble the pocket knife and the care you took with each and every part of it, I could not help but wonder why you are not making pocket blades you could sell...? Great workmanship even being lacking in power tools...KEEP REDOING AND POSTING YOUR LABORS...👍👍❤️🇺🇸
Amazing! Looks like you like to do as much as you can by hand just like your grampa. I bet all the old tools you have belonged to him. Keep up good work.
Hey Nino, Yes I do. Unfortunately I don't have his tools here (long story), but I am gathering what he had and what he liked to use. Thank you for the support!

A W E S O M E ! ! ! ! You make a very good job, as always! It's a great pleasure to watch your videos! Only one question : at 9:08 what kind of rasp file do you use please? Thanks a lot!!!
Much appreciated! This rasp file is a Swedish Eskilstuna, I believe it is for shoemakers. Fits very nice in hand and it is a pleasure to use it. One of my favorite files... Thanks for watching and reaching out 👍
A polish firm called Gerlach used to make the same kind of pocket knives for electricians for a long period of time. The groove at the begining of the blade was ment to take off wire isolation. Greetings from Poland.
Hey FFD how's it going, i just realized that this aint just a normal pocket knive, its an electrical technician's one, they use them for cables and so, A brand that makes them is irimo
Very nice job! The knife turned out looking great! Is the curved part on the blade is a fingerchoil, or it is sharpened to be a kind of wire stripper/pruning curve?

That's a electricians knife. I know because grandad was an electrician and he threatened me with one all the time when I was younger. Happy times.
Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it 👍
Electrician's knife? But its handle is not dielectric! Soviet electricians had knives with molded rubber handles!
😊👍
Such a nice knife and well done job on restoration. I especially liked seeing it put to use again (on the onion). :-)
Thank you so much Ralf!

Did the wood not need to be stabilized? Asking for a friend
It is not necessary, but definitely is a plus.
Вітаю . А що за дерево на накладки (плашки) пішло ?
Привіт! Волоський горіх ...
You either have a really hard file or a really soft knife blade
Hard file, I am loving this one. It is very old but works much better than new ones...
