    If you have ever lived here, Townie/Student, before this day and continued to follow The Bobcats. Only you truly understand why these games are so special and so heartfelt. From Pitt to Tennessee, From Penn State to the near upset at The Shoe. Win or Lose, we've seen greatness and thats what swells our hearts with #BobcatPride

    I'll never forget playing in this game. And will never for get my bruthas. That was a crazy emotional game. OU fans were great and the band did their thing. Military held down the cannons and fireworks. #21

    If I remember correctly, OHIO won the toss and elected to go on defense first. The Cats offense never took the field in OT.

    This game may have turned around the Bobcat program. Yes, OU had a losing season during the ‘05 season (I’m thinking 5-7) and made the MAC Championship game the next season.

    I remember this game quite well. This was the first game my freshman year and to be in the stands for the greatest game ever played is an honor. And the funniest thing my sister is in the upper left of the picture (above #13) at the 2:48 mark.

    Can someone explain why people call this the greatest game ever played?

      They don't. It's a tongue-in-cheek reference by the poster.

    i dont think losing this game was a low point for Pitt, i think the fact Joe Delsardo was a starting reciever was far far worse... you gotta cut it in in front of that DB..

    @88cutty why? he was good and made nasty catches. he was the 2 receiver when pitt won the big east. i guess that was a low point....?

    @pizzaisyummy86 do you follow pitt sports? you obviously do not. palko was a sleeper heisman pick the year after they won the big east. he was the only reason they beat BC, ND, and WVU in 04. The next year (the year this game was played) was wannstedt's first year. wannstedt, much like now, had a run first philosophy and blew any chance he had at the nfl. if you knew anything about pitt, you would know that palko beat out JOE FLACCO before the 04-05 season. palko then lead pitt to the bcs

  • @88cutty
    @88cutty 16 лет назад

    joe delsardo also sucks and ran the wrong route and was cut from the team. but alas...pitt always struggles with MAC teams for some reason. But thats pretty sad that in a down year for pitt that this would be ohio's biggest win ever.

    @pizzaisyummy86 im from pittsburgh and a city of our size is bound to have a ghetto or two overall its a hellava place. On that not tho, im goin to OU next year for school lol

  • @pitt234567
    @pitt234567 14 лет назад

    @pizzaisyummy86 well then you shouldn't make comments about something you know nothing about. and you're right, pittsburgh is a really shitty city. it's only ranked the most livable by forbes magazine...no big deal.

  • @busman64

    A game without an offensive touchdown is the greatest game ever played? It's more like it was so bad someone had to win. OU beat a Pitt team that went 5-7. OU students and alum walk around and beat their chest, but everyone just laughs at them.
